  • the method is generally easily implemented in the fabric manufacturing and items of apparel confectioning branches, and in particular in the industry of producing jeans and denim fabrics and of confectioning items of apparel made from these fabrics.

  • the method used for realizing decorative elements on a fabric or an item of apparel is described as follows. This method essentially comprises an initial phase of realizing a protective layer adherent to the surface of the fabric and/or the item of apparel and a subsequent phase of rupturing said layer to create a plurality of rupturing lines that define an overall pattern of a decorative element or of a plurality of decorative elements. The method further comprises an intermediate decolouring phase to decolour the areas of said surface accessible through the rupturing lines and a final washing phase to eliminate said layer from the fabric and/or the item of apparel.
  • this initial protective layer realizing phase comprises in a sequence: a phase of preparing a mixture of substances hardening to a solid state; a phase of heating said mixture up to its melting temperature, so as to obtain a molten mixture; a phase of applying said mixture to the surface in a molten state; and a phase of cooling the mixture down to room temperature to form the mentioned protective layer.
  • the Applicant has appropriately verified that the melting temperature of the mixture of hardening substances is approximately equal to 70 0 C. At this temperature the mixture is ready for the phase of application, which preferably occurs by painting the surface of the fabric and/or of the item of apparel.
  • the phase of rupturing the protective layer comprises, according to a first form of embodiment, an operation of rolling up said fabric and/or item of apparel and of pressing said fabric and/or item of apparel in a rolled-up condition.
  • the rolling-up operation appropriately occurs in several rolling-up directions.

  • the Applicant has advantageously provided for executing the absorption phase in a forced way, so as to highlight the effect generated by the decorative element or by the plurality of decorative elements, or in a natural way.
  • the forced absorption phase involves the retention of the fabric and/or of the item of apparel in a heated environment for an absorption time suitable for accelerating the absorption of the decolouring substances on the part of the fabric and/or of the item of apparel.
  • the heating environment is in this case heated to about 70/80 0 C, and the absorption time is of about 10 minutes.
  • a dyeing phase for the fabric and/or item of apparel, so as to dye the surface areas accessible through said rupturing lines.
  • the washing phase comprises a first hot washing phase, a second hot washing phase and a final cold water rinsing phase.
  • Said first washing phase is done in water treated with a first mixture of washing substances at a washing temperature of about 70 0 C for a washing time of about 10-15 minutes.
  • the second washing operation is done in water treated with a second mixture of washing substances at a washing temperature of about 50 0 C for a washing time of about 5 minutes.
  • the product for executing the realization phase of the layer essentially comprises a mixture of hardening substances preferably based on a plurality of hydrogenated fatty acids and alkylated polyglycolethers. Stearic acid and palmitic acid are preferred in the first case.
  • the product for executing the decolouring phase comprises a mixture of decolouring substances that preferably consists in an aqueous 50% hypochlorite solution.
  • the product for executing the dyeing phase comprises a mixture of organic pigments in an aqueous solution and of binders to bind said pigments at a low temperature, for instance an aqueous acrylic butadienic emulsion.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de réalisation d'éléments décoratifs sur un tissu ou un article vestimentaire, de couleur comportant les étapes suivantes: réalisation d'une couche adhérente protectrice sur la surface du tissu ou de l'article vestimentaire; rupture de ladite couche pour y créer des lignes de ruptures de manière à définir le motif d'ensemble d'un ou de plusieurs éléments décoratifs; décoloration des zones de la surface accessibles par les lignes de rupture; et lavage final éliminant ladite couche du tissu ou de l'article vestimentaire. Les zones correctement décolorées forment ainsi un ou des éléments décoratifs correspondant audit motif. L'invention porte également sur les produits d'exécution dudit procédé et sur les tissus et/ou articles vestimentaires obtenus à l'aide dudit procédé et desdits produits.
