- the film layer 11 is made of polyester
- the separation layer 12 is made of wax
- the foil layer 13 is made of aluminum.
- a foil die 20 moves up and down so that the foil 10 is tightly adhered to a paper 30 and then pressed. If the foil 10 is pressed to the paper as the foil die 20 moves downwardly, the heat reaction adhesive coating layer 14 is adhered to the paper 30, and the foil layer 13 and the wax layer 12 on the adhesive coating layer 14 are detached from the film layer 11 and then adhered to the paper 30. Since the foil die 20 is heated by heat at a certain range, the heat reaction adhesive coating layer 14 is well adhered to the paper 30.
- Examples of the conventional foil stamping machine include an up-and-down motion press type and a roller press type, wherein the roller press type performs printing by installing a foil die in a roller.
- the conventional foil stamping machines have performed printing using only heat from the foil die as their printing speed is not fast. However, with the recent development of a speedy stamping machine, the conventional foil stamping machines have a problem in that a defect occurs as heat of the foil die is not well transferred to the stamping machine. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a foil stamping machine in which a paper to be printed by a foil is preheated without depending on only heat of the foil die, so as not to cause a defect even at fast printing speed.
- the foil stamping machine includes a printing unit printing the foil on the paper using heat and pressure of a foil die, and a preheater preheating the paper before printing is printed by the printing unit.
- a heater provided above or below the paper, an infrared lamp, a hot air nozzle, or a hot roller is used as the preheater.
- Heat sources of the preheater are movably provided to control the distance between the papers, thereby controlling a preheating temperature of the paper.
- the foil stamping method includes the steps of preheating the paper at a certain temperature using a heat source, and printing the foil on the paper supplied in the preheating step using heat and pressure.

- the foil 10 is wound between a storage reel and a winding reel and moves along with the paper 30 so that printing is performed.
- a preheater is provided in front of the foil die 20. The preheater is provided with heaters 40 that emit heat up and down, and the paper 30 moves between the heaters and thus is preheated.
- the heater 40 may be provided at any one of up and down portions to preheat only a surface of the paper to be printed by the foil.
- FIG. 5 is a schematic view illustrating a foil stamping machine according to the second embodiment of the present invention.
- a roller press type is applied to the foil stamping machine.
- Foil printing is performed in such a manner that the paper 30 moves between presses 80 and 90.

- a plurality of hot air nozzles 60 which emit hot steam, are used as preheaters of the paper 30. The paper is heated by hot steam emitted from the nozzles 60 and then moves to the die 21 so that foil printing is performed by the foil die 20.
- FIG. 7 is a schematic view illustrating a foil stamping machine according to the fourth embodiment of the present invention.
- a roller press type is applied to the foil stamping machine according to the fourth embodiment, and hot rollers 70 are used as preheaters.
- the structure of the foil stamping machine according to the fourth embodiment is the same as that according to the second embodiment.
- the fourth embodiment is different from the second embodiment in that the hot rollers 70 are used as preheaters.
- the paper 30 is preheated in such a manner that the paper 30 is supplied with heat while passing between the hot rollers 70.
