If the foil 10 is pressed to the paper as the foil die 20 moves downwardly, the heat reaction adhesive coating layer 14 is adhered to the paper 30, and the foil layer 13 and the wax layer 12 on the adhesive coating layer 14 are detached from the film layer 11 and then adhered to the paper 30. Since the foil die 20 is heated by heat at a certain range, the heat reaction adhesive coating layer 14 is well adhered to the paper 30.
  • Examples of the conventional foil stamping machine include an up-and-down motion press type and a roller press type, wherein the roller press type performs printing by installing a foil die in a roller.
  • the conventional foil stamping machines have performed printing using only heat from the foil die as their printing speed is not fast. However, with the recent development of a speedy stamping machine, the conventional foil stamping machines have a problem in that a defect occurs as heat of the foil die is not well transferred to the stamping machine.   • the present invention has been made to solve the above-mentioned problems occurring in the prior art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a foil stamping machine in which a paper to be printed by a foil is preheated without depending on only heat of the foil die, so as not to cause a defect even at fast printing speed.
  • the foil stamping machine includes a printing unit printing the foil on the paper using heat and pressure of a foil die, and a preheater preheating the paper before printing is printed by the printing unit.
  • a heater provided above or below the paper, an infrared lamp, a hot air nozzle, or a hot roller is used as the preheater.
  • Heat sources of the preheater are movably provided to control the distance between the papers, thereby controlling a preheating temperature of the paper.
  • the foil stamping method includes the steps of preheating the paper at a certain temperature using a heat source, and printing the foil on the paper supplied in the preheating step using heat and pressure.
