Abstract

A tube (1) capable of being coupled, comprising a tube part (2) having a synthetic circumferential wall (3) which is provided, adjacent at least one extremity of the tube part, with a synthetic thickening (5) integrated into the circumferential wall and extending radially outwards with a first clamping surface (6) , further comprising a coupling ring (7) provided at the location of the side of the thickening remote from the extremity so as to be axially slideable around the circumferential wall, which coupling ring is provided with a second clamping surface (8) for cooperation with the first clamping surface. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing a tube capable of being coupled, wherein a coupling ring is slid around a synthetic circumferential wall of a tube part and wherein, then, on the outer circumference of the circumferential wall, a synthetic thickening is formed for cooperation with a coupling ring.
