Abstract

L'invention concerne un fil qui résiste aux coupures et à l'abrasion et un vêtement de sécurité fabriqué à base de ce fil. Ledit fil comporte une matériau noyau résistant aux coupures, recouvert d'une première enveloppe ayant au moins un brin en matériau polymère enveloppant le noyau. Une seconde enveloppe est ajoutée et entoure la première enveloppe dans un sens opposé. La seconde enveloppe, ou enveloppe externe, comporte au moins un brin présentant un faible coefficient de frottement. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de fabriquer un vêtement de protection à partir de ce fil, ledit vêtement de protection présentant une résistance accrue aux coupures et à l'abrasion.
