Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft nanoporöse Katalysatorteilchen mit sphärischer und/ oder sphäroider Sekundärstruktur, welche als katalytisch aktive Komponenten Übergangsmetalle und/oder deren Oxide oder deren Vorläufer enthalten. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner ein Verfahren zur Herstellung der nanoporösen Katalysatorteilchen, bei dem über ein Fällungsverfahren aus löslichen Verbindungen der aktiven Komponenten Vorläufer mit sphärischer und/oder sphäroider Vorprägung hergestellt und diese morphologisch vorgeprägte Vorläufer in einem thermischen Aktivierungsschritt zu den nanoporösen Katalysatorteilchen mit sphärischer und/oder sphäroider Sekundärstruktur umgewandelt werden. Die erfindungsgemäßen Katalysatorteilchen können verwendet werden bei der Herstellung von Keramikmaterialien, als Elektrodenmaterialien in elektrochemischen Zellen oder in Brennstoffzellen, als Speichermaterialien für chemische Spezies, sowie insbesondere bei der Herstellung von Kohlenstoff-Nanopartikeln in Form von Röhrchen bzw. Fasern.
