Abstract

An ink jet printhead has ink chambers separated by actuable walls, each chamber communicating with a nozzle through which a droplet is ejected when two actuable walls associated with that chamber move in unison to change the volume of that chamber. Even-numbered walls in the array are continuously moving and droplet ejection from a chamber is effected by actuating the odd- numbered wall associated with that chamber in unison with the continuously moving wall.
