Abstract

The invention relates to a separating partition (1) serving to separate a first room (2), in which a video projector is located, from a second room (4) adjacent to the first room, from which it is separated by said partition. The separating partition comprises: a rigid opaque panel (5) having a through-opening (6); a frame (7) surrounding the opening; a video screen (10) placed inside the frame and having a first face (11), which is located on a first side (8) of the panel (5) and capable of receiving at least one image projected by the video projector, and having a second face (12), which is located on a second side (9) of the panel (5), this side being opposite the first side, and which is opposite the first face and capable of permitting a visualization of the at least one image projected by the video projector, and; means (15) for joining the frame to the rigid opaque panel.

Description

Partition wall with integrated video screen

The present invention relates to the field of video projection, in particular to video projection methods and to devices for implementing these methods, more particularly to a separating partition intended to separate a first part in which a video projector is located, a second piece adjacent to the first piece, which it is separated by said partition at least.

Videoprojection methods and devices are known, in particular a video-projection device, comprising a video projector, a generally large-sized box in which the video projector is placed and a face of which consists of a screen whose outer surface is visible to the viewer. these devices being viewed by the viewer in a manner analogous to a television set.

Such video projection devices have the drawbacks of being very bulky, of not being very aesthetic, and of not allowing much of the video projector back. The dimensions of the image seen by the viewer are thus limited. In addition, the projector has a generally noisy operation that can affect the comfort of the viewer.

Also known are video projection methods of projecting an image on the face of a screen viewed by the viewer, the projector being placed in the room where the viewer is.

In this case too, the disadvantages are numerous, such as a highly questionable aesthetic, noisy operation, and a light beam annoying especially in case of smoke in the projection room, for the most part.

The present invention makes it possible to overcome these disadvantages and to provide other advantages. More specifically, it consists of a partition wall, intended to separate a first room in which is located a projector, a second room adjacent to the first room, which it is separated by said partition at least, characterized in that it includes:

an opaque rigid panel having a through opening, a frame surrounding the opening,

a video screen arranged in the frame, and comprising:

on a first side of the panel, a first face capable of receiving at least one image projected by the video projector, and

on a second side of the panel, opposite to the first side, a second face opposite the first face and able to allow visualization of the said at least one image projected by the video projector,

means for connecting the frame to the rigid opaque panel.

The specific partition wall according to the invention offers a particularly modern aesthetic, and which can be made easily discrete and / or personalized thanks to the frame system. The placement of the projector in a room different from the viewing space of the projection, together with the integration of the video screen in the dividing wall between the room where the video projector is located and the viewing room of the projection, offers possibilities of large screen dimensions. The room in which the image is viewed is also free of operating noise of the video projector and light beam, particularly sensitive in a living room. In addition, no video projection apparatus appears in the room where the viewer is. According to an advantageous characteristic, the frame surrounding the opening comprises:

This feature advantageously allows the dissociation of the frame in two parts, to adapt to any type of panel, to differentiate the aesthetics of the frame in relation to the decoration of the two separate rooms in which are respectively the video projection equipment and the people viewing the projection.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the connecting means of said first and second frames to the opaque rigid panel comprise a metal frame disposed in the field of the opening.

This characteristic makes it possible to use the field of the opening to fix the frame so that no element of attachment of the frame appears on the front in one room or in the other.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the second frame comprises a rabbet adapted to house the edges of the video screen.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the inner opening defined by the second frame is smaller than the inner opening defined by the first frame.

This feature advantageously allows to take into account the thickness of the panel, and to adapt the internal dimensions of the frames according to this panel and the projection angle of the image on the screen.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the second face of the video screen is aligned or substantially aligned with the second side of the panel.

The alignment of the screen with the side of the panel in the room where is displayed the projection allows to offer a viewing comfort of the high quality screen regardless of the viewing angle, and an aesthetic that the screen and the panel form substantially or exactly a plan.

According to an advantageous characteristic, the frame surrounding the opening has an inclined internal field.

The partition 1 shown in Figures 1 and 2, is intended to separate a first part 2 in which is located a projector 3, a second part 4 adjacent to the first part 2, which it is separated by the partition 1 to less, and comprises: - an opaque rigid panel 5 having a through opening 6, - a frame 7 surrounding the opening, a video screen 10 arranged in the frame, and comprising:

on a first side 8 of the panel 5, a first face 11 capable of receiving at least one image (not shown) projected by the video projector 3, and

on a second side 9 of the panel 5, opposite the first side, a second face 12 opposite to the first face and able to allow visualization of the image projected by the video projector,

connecting means 15 of the frame to the rigid opaque panel.

The first piece 2 in which the video projector 3 is located may be any part of a housing 30 of a construction 31, having an opening or not, a power supply (not shown), for example a living room, an office , preferably a room, etc .... Access to room 2 can be controlled to allow protection of video equipment and video projection.

The second room 4 in which the visualization of the image is operated, will preferably be a living room housing, or any other room arranged to watch the projection, for example show room, dining room, etc.

The projected video image may be any kind of video image, for example a film, or a video sequence, projected by a projector 3 of known type, from a known source (not shown), for example a microcomputer , a video disc player, a satellite decoder, a terrestrial digital television decoder, etc. The rigid opaque panel 5 can be any type of conventional panel intended to constitute a partition, for example a plasterboard panel comprising a material insulation 32 binding two outer plasterboards 33, 34, as shown in Figure 2. A through opening 6 is formed in the panel according to the dimensions of the video screen 11 to be placed in the opening 6. L opening 6 is preferably made in a straight cutting field, as shown, either perpendicular to the outer surfaces of the panel 5.

The frame 7 surrounding the opening 6 advantageously comprises:

a first frame 16 surrounding the opening on the first side of the panel 5,

a second frame 17 surrounding the opening on the second side of the panel 5, opposite to the first side, and comprising a rabbet 20 able to house the edges of the video screen 11.

The first 16 and second 17 frames each face each other on the first 8 side and second 16 side of the panel 5, an entourage 36, 37 advantageously for aesthetic use, and a wing 38, 39 extending from the inner perimeter of each surround 36, 37 in the opening 6, respectively, towards each other, to cover the field thereof, as shown in Figure 2. The wings 38, 39 advantageously overlap to give the frame 7 the ability to cover the field of an opening 6 for panels of different thicknesses. Indeed, 72 millimeters and 82 millimeters are commonly found in the thicknesses of partition panels. The surrounds 36, 37, and the wings 38, 39 will advantageously be made according to differentiated decorations if necessary, depending on the needs, the supply for the consumer, and / or the decorations of the rooms in which they are located.

Preferably, the second face 12 of the video screen 10 is aligned or substantially aligned with the second 9 side of the panel 5, the inner opening defined by the second frame 17 being advantageously smaller than the inner opening defined by the first frame 16, so as to allow placement of the projection apparatus 3 at various positions in the first part 2, not aligned with a direction perpendicular to the video screen 10, for example a placement of the projection apparatus 3 ceiling or on a side wall, without the light beam is broken at its edges by the angle of the panel 5 at the opening 6 on the first side 8 of the panel.

The wings 38, 39 of the frame 7 surrounding the opening 6 preferably comprises an inclined internal field 21. The first 16 and second 17 frames are advantageously joined on the inclined internal field 21, one of the first or second frame straddling the another over a given distance from the inclined inner field so as to allow an adaptation of the frame 7 to panels of different thicknesses. The frame 7 thus forms a crossing tunnel of the converging partition in the direction of projection, to allow placement of the projection apparatus 3 at various positions in the first piece 2, not aligned with a direction perpendicular to the video screen 10, for example a placement of the projection apparatus 3 on the ceiling or on a side wall. Thus, it is noted that the projected light beam is divergent while the passage tunnel of the partition is instead advantageously convergent.

In Figure 2, we see that there is a game between the wing 39 of the first frame 16 on the side of the panel 5 and the edge of the opening 6. This game is explained by the possibility of the frame 7 of s' adapt to a panel 105 of greater thickness than the panel 5, for example as shown in Figure 3. Thus, such a game appearing in Figure 2, no longer exists in the example of Figure 3, the first frame 116 having been moved away from the second frame 117 in order to adapt to the greater thickness of the panel 105, resulting from this. In fact, an inner opening of the first frame 116 enlarged to allow the junction of the inclined flanges 138, 139 despite the larger spacing of the first 116 and second 117 frames.

Referring to Figure 3, the exemplary embodiment shown in this figure differs from Figure 2 in that the panel 105 has a thickness greater than that of the panel 5 of Figure 2, with the modifications that this implies in terms arrangement of the means, as explained above. Thus, the elements of the first example which provide an identical function in the second exemplary embodiment of a separating partition according to the invention are assigned the same numerical reference plus the number 100. These elements will not be described any more. with the second example and the reader will refer to the corresponding description detailed above made in the context of this first example. To return to the example of FIG. 1, the connection means 15 of the frame 7 to the rigid opaque panel 5 comprise connection means 18 of the first 16 and second 17 frames rigid opaque panel 5, the latter advantageously comprising a metal frame 19 disposed in the field of the opening 6. The metal frame 19 adopts for example a U-shaped cross section as shown, whose U-branches are inserted into the material 32 of the panel between them gypsum board 33 and 34. The frame 19 is fixed in the opening either by simple installation, or preferably by gluing, sealing or any other rigid fixing means. The connection means of the frame 7 to the rigid opaque panel 5 advantageously comprise screws 40 arranged all around the opening 6 engaged in the metal frame 19, whose heads will preferably be placed in the overlap zone of the first 16 and second 17 frames to make them invisible by covering the wings of the frames as shown. The first frame 17 is thus directly attached to the panel, the second frame will be advantageously fixed to the first frame 17 according to any known means, for example by clipping (not shown) of the wings 38, 39 between them, the interest of clipping being to make the fixation invisible from the outside. It should be noted that other attachment means may be used for the first frame, for example a direct invisible clipping of the first frame 16 on the panel (not shown).

The video screen 10 comprises a transparent or translucent material, for example a sheet 13 of a transparent or translucent plastic material, for example an opalescent material, constituting said separating partition 1 in the zone of the screen. For example, the sheet 12 may be made of any material conventionally used for an overhead projector type video projector or the like, for example a transparent or translucent polymethacrylate, for example opalescent, rigid.

Alternatively, the video screen may comprise a window pane onto which a translucent, eg opalescent, adhesive film is applied. Alternatively, the video screen may comprise window glazing having a frosted face.

The choice of embodiment of the video screen 10 will advantageously depend on the size of the screen, the sound and heat insulation characteristics that one wishes to obtain. The screen will be maintained and fixed in the rabbet 20 advantageously made in the first frame 17 fixed directly in the metal frame 19, to secure the attachment of the screen, according to any known means, for example made prisoner during assembly of the frame 7 in the opening 6, or made removable by a system of removable glazing beads (not shown) where appropriate. The rabbet 20 will advantageously include any anti-vibration means of the screen and sound insulation between the two parts 2 and 4 separated by the screen 10.

The partition wall 1 will advantageously comprise at least one transceiver 14 adapted to receive the signals of a remote control (not shown) of the video projector 3, located in the second room 4, and to transmit them to the projector located in the first room 2. For this purpose, transceiver 14 comprises a receiving part 41 of the signals, placed on one side of the partition panel, intended to be turned to the viewing part of the projected image, and a transmitting portion 42 placed on the other side of the partition panel to be turned towards the room where the projector is located. The transceiver 14 will preferably be associated with the frame 7, in order to avoid touching the panel 5 and in order to integrate it as simply as possible into the partition 1, a suitable space 43 that can be reserved in the frame, for example the second frame 17 for this purpose.

The partition wall 1, and more particularly the frame 7, may be provided with a speaker system (not shown) fixed for example on the second frame 17 so that the sound waves are emitted into the viewing room. The space required for the proper functioning of the enclosures, closed or not closed as appropriate, may be provided between the frame 7 and the panel.

The dividing wall 1 according to the invention operates in the following manner: In FIG. 1, the horizontal section of a dwelling 30 including a room 2 in which a video projector 3 has been placed, and a room 4 contiguous to the part 2 and separated from the latter by the separating wall 1 carrying a video screen 10;

The method and the partition wall according to the invention have multiple applications in various and varied fields, and more particularly in housing for which the video projection screen according to the invention can adopt increased dimensions with reduced costs.
