Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una nueva forma soluble de EPCR procedente de un mecanismo de corte - empalme alternativo, y más concretamente a un polipéptido que comprende los residuos 201-256 de la secuencia SEQ ID NO: 1, o un fragmento de dicha secuencia, así como a una proteína EPCR aislada o recombinante que comprende dicho polipéptido, , a un polinucleótido aislado que codifica para dicho polipéptido, un mRNA que codifica una proteína que comprende dicho polipéptido y a su uso en la detección de enfermedades, a un vector de expresión o una célula hospedadora que comprenden dicho polinucleótido que comprende , un sistema de expresión que comprende el vector de expresión y dicha célula, un anticuerpo aislado específico para dicho polipéptido, un método y un kit para la detección selectiva in vitro en una muestra biológica, de una proteína EPCR que comprende la secuencia SEQ ID NO: 1.
