Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à une fraise cylindrique comprenant une ou plusieurs lames hélicoïdales servant à usiner le bois, les matériaux dérivés du bois, et le plastique. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de production de cette fraise cylindrique. L'angle d'inclinaison de la lame dudit outil est compris entre 70° et approximativement 90°, en particulier entre 80° et 88°, ce qui entraîne une différence significative entre les angles de travail et les angles orthogonaux aiguisés, de sorte que les copeaux soient enlevés axialement, et que les rapports d'effort de coupe soient constants. Ledit procédé de production consiste soit à produire la lame séparément du corps de base de l'outil, qui est produit ultérieurement, et à insérer la lame dans ce dernier par liaison de forme, soit à appliquer de manière hélicoïdale une lame constituée d'un matériau de coupe sur un corps de base cylindrique constitué d'un matériau de support, puis à aiguiser ladite lame pour obtenir la forme de coupe voulue.
