Description

APARATO PARA APLICAR UNA MEZCLA DE LÍQUIDO-OZONO EN FORMA APPLIANCE FOR APPLYING A LIQUID-OZONE MIXTURE IN FORM
DE NIEBLA PARA DESINFECTAR SUPERFICIESFOG TO DISINFECT SURFACES
CAMPO TÉCNICO DE LA INVENCIÓNTECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention has to do with electronics and medicine, more specifically in ophthalmology, since it consists of an apparatus that generates ozone and mixing it with liquid, by means of pressure, to produce a nebulous mixture and apply it directly to the surface to be treated, when it is subjected to some medical treatment, with the purpose of avoiding infections.
ANTECEDENTES DE LA INVENCIÓNBACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
At present, the disinfection of delicate surfaces, such as the eyes, has demanded the generation of several techniques, among which the application of aqueous solutions stands out, which is impractical, since it floods the eye, which implies being dry or waiting a moment for such solution to penetrate the tissue of the surface to be disinfected.
Ozonized water is widely used to kill bacteria and other microorganisms, which is why it has been proposed for the disinfection of wounds, sores, etc. (WO 0020343 and WO 103452), but it is not reported to be used in eye tissues. In addition, the literature reports the use of ozonized water only in aqueous solution and not as a nebula.
Por otra parte, con respecto a Ia generación de ozono, también existe una gran gama de aparatos, los cuales se basan principalmente en el uso de energía eléctrica (WO 103452, ES 2014362, ES 2048028, USOn the other hand, with respect to ozone generation, there is also a wide range of devices, which are mainly based on the use of electrical energy (WO 103452, ES 2014362, ES 2048028, US
US 6827910), where the generated ozone is destined for different uses, such as the treatment of water, food, dental disinfection, or for the sterilization of any object and animal tissues; but none is intended for disinfection of eye tissues, especially when they are subjected to some surgical treatment.
For example, WO 103452 describes an apparatus for disinfecting surfaces, in particular in animal and human wounds, which comprises an ozonized water concentrator and mechanisms for driving it from a container to an injector, which has one or more nozzles for spreading. ozonized water to the surface to be treated. As can be seen, this device applies to sprayed ozonized water, and due to the large droplet size, the treated tissue is immediately flooded, so this technology is not useful for disinfecting eye tissues, since the doctor would have to being drying at all times, which is very impractical when surgery is being performed.
Therefore, with the purpose of eliminating the aforementioned inconveniences, and giving a practical solution to the application of a liquid-ozone mixture to disinfect surfaces, a new device was developed that generates ozone, mixes it with a liquid and applies said mixture in nebula form directly to the surface to be treated; which I describe below.
DESCRIPCIÓN DETALLADA DE LA INVENCIÓNDETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The characteristic details of this novel apparatus for applying a nebulous mixture of liquid and ozone, for ocular disinfection, are clearly shown in the following description and in the figures that are αcompαñαn, which are mentioned by way of example and should not be considered as limiting for the present invention.
Breve descripción de las figurasBrief description of the figures
Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the apparatus for applying a misty mixture of liquid and ozone, to disinfect surfaces. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the apparatus for applying a misty mixture of liquid and ozone, to disinfect surfaces, where the presence of a blower is appreciated.
With reference to said figure-, the apparatus is constituted by a power source 1, which supplies electric power to; an oscillator circuit module 2, which generates pulses and injects them directly to; a power excitation module 3 to amplify said pulses and then send them to; a high voltage transformer 4, to increase the pulse voltage, which is sent to an array of electrodes separated by a dielectric (not shown) that are in; an ozone generating chamber 5.
The ozone generating chamber 5 obtains the oxygen from a compressor 6, which has a key 10 that allows the passage of oxygen from an oxygen tank 7 and another key 9 that allows ambient air from an air filter 8 to pass through to purify it, when it is desired to obtain oxygen from the environment. However, these keys 9 and 10 can be replaced by a single key that has two input options.
The ozone generated in the chamber 5, is sent with pressure to a liquid container 11, by means of a hose; which has capillary ducts specially distributed and designed to -A- Nebulize and compress the ozone with the liquid. This container has an outlet to apply the liquid-ozone mixture.
One of the variants that this apparatus can have is that a blower 12 can be added to the ozone generating chamber 5 which can be activated by an approach sensor or a switch, for the disinfection of a person's hands, or gloves, when a patient is going to have a revision or intervention (see figure 2). This solves the problem of infection from patient to patient; It also avoids the doctor washing his hands continuously, which means more time and uncomfortable.
Another of the embodiments of the present invention is that at the outlet of the liquid container 11, an applicator attachment (not shown) can be used to better direct the application of the liquid-ozone mixture.
It should be mentioned that the device can only function as an applicator of soluble medications or topically applied liquids, such as disinfectants, de-inflammatories, anesthetics, analgesics, among others; For which, you just don't have to activate oscillator 2.
When the power source 1 is activated, it supplies electrical energy to the oscillator module 2, which sends the pulses to the power module 3 that amplifies said pulses and sends them to the transformer 4 to inject them into an array of electrodes that are within The ozone generating chamber 5, to which oxygen is administered by means of the compressor 6, which in turn is fed from a tank of O2 7 or directly from ambient air, this air passing through the filter 8. If required of pure oxygen it is necessary to open Ia llαve 10 and close Ia 9, and in case of using the ambient air the key 10 is closed and the 9 is opened. In this way the oxygen when it enters the chamber 5 is converted into ozone and is sent, by means of the pressure exerted by the compressor 6 to the liquid container 11, which due to the pressure of said compressor mixes the ozone with the liquid, forming a nebulous mixture, which is applied by the outlet of the container 11, to the tissue to be treated.
In this way we obtain an apparatus to apply a nebulous mixture of liquid-ozone, on surfaces to disinfect them, such as eye tissues, ulcers, wounds, among others. Said apparatus is of easy construction because it consists of few elements, in addition to combining an ozone generator with a compressor for the application of a nebulous mixture of ozone and liquid, directly to areas to be treated; advantages that do not have the apparatus or ozone generators, as well as the nebulizers, because they only do a single function. In addition, applying in this way, to the disinfectant mixture in the area to be treated, causes the doctor or surgeon to not have the trouble of drying the area due to excess disinfectant solution. Among the liquids that can be mentioned to mix with ozone, they are natural or bi-distilled water, disinfectants, de-inflammatories, anesthetics, analgesics, etc.
-ó-Therefore, this invention also has to do with a method for disinfecting surfaces, such as eye tissues, ulcers, wounds, etc., which consists in applying a mist-liquid mixture-ozone directly to the areas to be disinfected. , wherein said mixture is nebulized and by a compressor 6 in a liquid container 11 and is directed to the outlet of said container 11 to be applied to the surface to be treated. Said liquid may be natural or bi-distilled water. -or-
It also describes a method for treating surfaces, such as eye tissues, ulcers, wounds, etc., which consists in applying a mixture of a liquid with a disinfectant, liquid or solid, such as, de-inflammatory, anesthetic, analgesics, etc. ., that is, without using ozone, where such a mixture is generated and nebulized in the container 11, thanks to the pressure exerted by the compressor 6, for which it is enough not to activate the oscillator 2.
