Abstract
L'invention porte sur une nouvelle utilisation de nanomatériaux en tant que modificateurs de viscosité et de renforceurs de conductivité thermique d'huiles pour engrenages et autres huiles lubrifiantes. Les huiles pour engrenages de l'invention présentent un indice de viscosité plus élevé, une conductivité thermique améliorée, une meilleure stabilité au cisaillement et une meilleure conductivité thermique, que les huiles pour engrenages usuelles actuellement disponibles. Les nanoparticules préférées confèrent par ailleurs une réduction du coefficient de frottement notamment en régime de lubrification limite. On obtient ces propriétés en remplaçant tout ou partie de l'épaississeur polymère, de l'amplificateur d'indice de viscosité ou d'autres éléments de la composition, généralement utilisés dans les huiles pour engrenages, par des nanomatériaux de forme, taille et composition appropriées.
