Abstract

The invention relates to a device for obstructing a water path on the hull of a floating or navigating vessel from the deck thereof without being on sea. The inventive device consists of a large cover tarpaulin (1) to which a smaller cover tarpaulin (2) provided with tapes (3) on the circumference thereof is bonded. Each tape stretches a ring (4) to which a rope (6) is fixed by means of a spring hook, thereby enabling the device to be positioned on the water path area of the hull (7) of the vessel and to be held thereon by means of a connection to a fixed point (8) of the vessel.

Description

Selon des modes particuliers de réalisation :The present invention relates to a device for obstructing a waterway on a vessel with or without water, in order to considerably reduce the entry of water into the hull and to prevent the boat from sinking. No device is currently provided to prevent the entry of external water in case of anarchic perforation of the hull. Only sticklebacks are currently available and effective for obstruction of circular - shaped perforations but require direct action on the shell from the inside or outside. Nothing is planned for torn hulls of rugged forms. The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy this problem. It includes a tarpaulin which is applied against the hull of a boat at the level of a waterway, a tarpaulin to which are attached a minimum of four ropes which are moored at a fixed point and which serve to hold the tarpaulin firmly in place. The pressure of the seawater on the patch is greater than the pressure inside the hull, it clings the device against the hull and provides a seal. According to particular embodiments:
The cover can be composed of two overlapping canvases and different sizes, the large can be below, the small can be glued on.
La figure 2 représente le dispositif en place sur la coque d' un bateau.- A ring that can be passed around each tab which can then be folded and glued on the small sheet so as to grip each ring and fix it on the tarpaulin. - a rope that can be attached to each ring by means of a carabiner tied at one of its ends. In order to ensure a better seal, the device will preferably be free of seams. The accompanying drawings illustrate the invention: FIG. 1 represents, from the front, the device of the invention. Figure 2 shows the device in place on the hull of a boat.
With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a large tarpaulin (1) on which is bonded a lower-size tarpaulin (2) in which is formed a minimum of four tabs (3) each enclosing a ring (4) provided with a carabiner (5) attached to a rope (6) for placing the device at the waterway on the hull of a boat (7) and holding it in place by mooring the other end of the boat. these ropes at a fixed point (8) of the boat.
A titre d' exemple non limitatif :By way of non-limiting example:
- la grande bâche aura une taille supérieure de 8 à 15 cm et de préférence 10 cm à celle de la petite bâche, formant ainsi une bavette ( 9) qui pourra ensuite être collée ou clouée à la coque ;- The large tarpaulin will be larger than 8 to 15 cm and preferably 10 cm to that of the small tarpaulin, thus forming a flap (9) which can then be glued or nailed to the hull;
- les anneaux seront au nombre de quatre minimum, placés sur le pourtour de la petite bâche tous les 30 à 50 cm selon la taille de la grande bâche ;- the rings will be four minimum, placed around the perimeter of the small tarpaulin every 30 to 50 cm depending on the size of the large tarpaulin;
- The length of the ropes will be sufficient to allow them to pass under the hull of the boat to which the device is intended, then to moor them at a fixed point of the boat to keep the device in place. The ropes will be of different colors, which makes it possible to identify the top and the bottom of the device when it is put in place and to make it easier to position.
