If the two contacting surfaces are sticking to each other one or both of the surfaces may be damages after decoiling. Measuring the gloss therefore represents an indication of the sticking properties of the coated paper/cardboard. Based upon this measurement it has been found that the addition of glass particles reducing the sticking tendency of the coated paper, as becomes evident from the values in the column C. O. F.
