This can generally also be achieved by exchanging one of the two complementarily formed wedge surfaces by an element having the same effect, so that only one wedge surface is provided.
  • the wedge surface 2a could only be provided on the outer part 2 and the wedge surface 3a of the inner part 3 could be replaced by a radial edge formed on the inner part 3, which is arranged in the region of the wedge surface 2a of the outer part 2.
  • the radial force introduced by deformation of the housing would be converted into an axially directed force by the single wedge surface, which can be used to displace the inner part into the locking position.
  • This would not lead to a surface, but to a linear contact between the wedge surface and the replacement element, which is less advantageous in terms of the stability of the overall arrangement than the surface pressure generated with the two wedge surfaces 2a, 3a.
  • the effect of positively forcing the inner part 3 or the outer part 2 into the locking position would also be achievable if only one wedge surface was used.
  • the coupling device can be used in all fields in which fluid-carrying lines are coupled together.
  • the coupling device is provided in particular for the automotive industry, for example for connecting fuel lines.
