Abstract

L'invention concerne un matériau chirurgical à influence inductive, conductive et d'ostéointégration constitué d'hydrocarbures et de cellulose, notamment du polyméthacrylate et de l'éthyl cellulose. Ce matériau biocompatible présente une consistance cartilagineuse et une capacité de durcissement progressif ou rapide, peut être fixé sur des tissus à l'aide d'une suture chirurgicale et modifié par le chirurgien pendant l'intervention chirurgicale en pratiquant une coupure au bistouri ou aux ciseaux. Ce matériau chirurgical, qui est conçu pour des applications dans des spécialités telles que la neurochirurgie, l'ophtalmologie, la chirurgie maxillo-faciale, la chirurgie orthopédique et la chirurgie stomatologique, est généralement utilisé en tant que remplissage osseux en chirurgie reconstructive et esthétique et dans des lésions de type traumatique entraînant une importante perte de tissu osseux, en chirurgie cardiovasculaire ainsi qu'en traumatologie orthopédique et analogues.
