Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé et un système de connexion électrique entre des cuves successives (pots) disposées en série pour la fabrication d'aluminium par électrolyse d'alumine dissoute dans de la cryolite fondue, au moyen du procédé Hall-Heroult. Cette invention s'applique à une série de cuves disposées dans le sens transversal par rapport à l'axe de la série (ligne) et fonctionnant à une intensité de courant supérieure à 300 kA et si possible au-dessus de 600 kA. Cette invention combine les différents avantages des concepts connus pour obtenir des solutions techniques nouvelles et efficaces pour de larges ports. Cette solution permet d'optimiser le champs magnétique obtenu et les paramètres de performance de barre omnibus tels que la chute de tension, la masse, la diffusion du courant, le niveau de diffusion et le niveau moyen de champ magnétique, la distance entre les rangées, des solutions de colonne montante anode et un espace physique pour satisfaire les exigences de barre omnibus
