Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système combiné capable d'enregistrer et de reproduire des signaux de diffusion analogiques et numériques et de permettre une visualisation d'un des signaux de diffusion analogiques et numériques pendant l'enregistrement de l'autre signal. Ce système combiné peut enregistrer des signaux de diffusion analogiques et numériques sur un seul support de stockage et est conçu pour permettre à un utilisateur d'enregistrer au choix les signaux de diffusion analogiques ou numériques pendant qu'il visionne l'autre signal de diffusion. De plus, ce système combiné ne requiert pas de support de stockage supplémentaire pour stocker les signaux de diffusion analogiques et numériques en ce qu'il enregistre tous les signaux de diffusion analogiques et numériques sur le support de stockage, par exemple une cassette vidéo. L'utilisateur peut ainsi enregistrer un programme de diffusion souhaité pendant qu'il visionne un programme de diffusion correspondant au signal de diffusion numérique ou au signal de diffusion analogique et il peut visionner et enregistrer des programmes de diffusion, que le programme de diffusion qui est enregistré soit un signal de diffusion numérique ou un signal de diffusion analogique.
