Description

The present invention relates to a method of decorating a support comprising openings and the support obtained by such a method.
There is a need to create new decorative effects on supports having openings, especially on clothing, stripes or sheers.
There is still a need to create new decorative items, furnishings or body ornaments.
The present invention aims to meet this need.
It achieves this through a method of decorating a support having openings with a fluid polymer material that can solidify, comprising the steps of: depositing the polymeric material in a fluid state on a first side of the support, exerting pressure on the polymeric material before solidification thereof, to pass through openings of the support and cause it to project from a second side, opposite to the first, of the support, allow the polymer material to solidify after passage through the openings of the support.
The invention makes it possible to produce new optical and tactile effects on supports such as openwork textiles. The polymeric material can further enhance the hold of certain garments, by its weight and relative stiffness.
The invention may also make it possible to make new articles such as necklaces or bags for example.
Fluid within the meaning of the present invention means a liquid, gel or paste. The carrier may be flexible and the method may include the step of tensioning the carrier prior to depositing the polymeric material thereon. The media may not be flexible.
The support may comprise a textile, in particular a woven, a net, a mesh, a knit or a lace, a leather, or a nonwoven, a sheet of plastic, metal or wood. The support may, after the extrusion of the polymeric material through the openings, be cut, sewn, embroidered, glued, stapled, welded, painted or dyed, among others. The support can be flexible or not. The support may be tubular, the polymer material being deposited on the inner side of the support.
The support can be twisted or tied on itself in at least two locations different from its length. This can be used to form a string of patterns, for example, to achieve a particular collar.
The support may be in the form of a chain or a network consisting of patterns, spaced with a regular pitch or not, the patterns may be of different shapes.
The pressure required to pass through the openings by the polymeric material can be exerted using a tool, such as a doctor blade, a roller, or a shaped object.
This pressure may, if necessary, be applied by means of a flexible film to which the polymer material does not adhere or adhere weakly, in particular a polyethylene film.
The pressure required to cross the openings by the polymeric material can then be exerted in several directions, including radially.
The pressure may in particular be exerted by simple injection, too full of material, by twisting or knotting the support, for example when it is hollow or tubular.
The polymeric material may comprise a silicone, an acrylic, or a polyurethane, preferably after solidification resistant to water and heat and elastically deformable.
The polymeric material may be deposited on the first side of the support with a quantity chosen so that the polymer material has a bead effect on the second side.
The polymeric material may be deposited so as to form on the support geometric patterns or not. It can be arranged in curved or rectilinear lines or adapt to the pattern of the support.
Where appropriate, several polymeric materials having different natures and / or colors and / or properties may be deposited on the same side of the support.
The invention further relates, in another of its aspects, a support comprising a material forming openings traversed by a polymeric material defining on an apparent side of the support disjoint reliefs. These can be connected to a continuous mass extending on the opposite side of the support. The openings may have a larger dimension of between about 0.01 mm and about 5 cm, for example between 0.1 mm and 1 cm, in particular between 1 mm and 5 cm, for example between 1 mm and 1 cm. The openings may not all be identical, and have different geometries and / or dimensions, for example. The polymeric material may comprise at least one pigment or dye, in particular an organic pigment, a nacre, fluorescent or phosphorescent compounds and / or reflective particles, in particular flakes.
The invention may be better understood on reading the following detailed description of non-limiting examples of implementation of the invention, and on examining the appended drawing, in which:
- la figure 1 représente schématiquement, en vue de dessus, un support conforme à l'invention, - les figures 2a, 2b et 2c représentent de manière schématique des étapes d'un exemple de procédé de décoration conforme à l'invention,FIG. 1 schematically represents, in plan view, a support according to the invention, FIGS. 2a, 2b and 2c schematically represent steps of an exemplary decoration method according to the invention,
- les figures 3a et 3b représentent de manière schématique des étapes d'un autre exemple de procédé de décoration du support,FIGS. 3a and 3b schematically represent steps of another exemplary method of decorating the support,
- la figure 4 est une vue de côté d'un autre exemple de support réalisé conformément à l'invention,FIG. 4 is a side view of another example of a support made according to the invention,
- la figure 5 représente schématiquement des étapes d'un autre exemple de procédé de création d'objets conforme à l'invention,FIG. 5 schematically represents steps of another exemplary method of creating objects according to the invention,
FIG. 1 shows a support 1 comprising openings 2. The support 1 is, in the example under consideration, made of a flexible material, for example a textile such as a lace, but it is not beyond the scope of the present invention if the support is for example a knit, a woven or a film or mesh of plastic or metal or leather.
According to the invention, some openings 2 are traversed by a polymer material 3, which produces on the side 4 of the support 1, which is apparent in FIG. 1, reliefs 10. The latter resemble pearls, as can be seen in FIG. see in this figure, being separated by the material 6 of the support 1 and by intervals 11 of the side 4 of the support. The openings 2 have different shapes and sizes in the illustrated example, which allows uneven reliefs to be obtained, depending on the size and shape of the corresponding openings, as can be seen in FIG. have a larger dimension of between about 0.01 mm and about 5 cm. It is not beyond the scope of the present invention when the openings 2 all have identical dimensions and / or shapes.
In Figure 1, the reliefs 10 extend in sinuous lines, but it is not beyond the scope of the present invention when the patterns formed by the polymer material 3 are other. The polymer material 3 is constituted in the example in question by a silicone, for example of the type sold in a cartridge for producing plumbing seals, but it is not beyond the scope of the present invention if the polymeric material consists of another material, for example an acrylic, a polyurethane, or a mixture of these materials. Before solidification, the polymeric material is relatively viscous, having substantially the consistency of a paste.
Pour réaliser le support 1, on peut procéder comme illustré sur les figures 2a àThe polymer material 3 may or may not be colored, possibly be transparent or translucent, and may comprise particles that can provide an optical effect, for example reflective particles such as flakes or phosphorescent or fluorescent particles, or nacres. To make the support 1, it is possible to proceed as illustrated in FIGS.
2c.2c.
Le matériau 6 du support 1 est tendu, sur un cadre par exemple, suivant les flèches représentées sur la figure 2a.The material 6 of the support 1 is stretched, on a frame for example, according to the arrows shown in Figure 2a.
La matière polymère 3 est déposée à l'état fluide ou pâteux, sur le côté 5 qui est opposé au côté apparent 4 du support 1.The polymer material 3 is deposited in the fluid or pasty state, on the side 5 which is opposite to the apparent side 4 of the support 1.
A pressure P is then applied to the polymer material 3 before solidification thereof, so that it passes through the openings 2 of the support 1 and protrudes from the apparent side 4 thereof.
In Figure 2b, the pressure is exerted using a tool such as a doctor blade R, moved on the polymeric material 3 according to the arrow.
Après solidification, la matière polymère peut présenter une élasticité non nulle.FIG. 2c shows the support 1 after solidification of the polymer material 3, for example for one hour in the open air. Solidification may result for example evaporation of a solvent and / or a reaction with the air or the humidity of the air. After solidification, the polymeric material may exhibit non-zero elasticity.
The amount of fluid, pasty or gel-like polymeric material deposited can be chosen so that the height of the reliefs 10 is less than or equal to about 5 cm.
On the side 5 of the support, the polymeric material 3 forms a continuous mass 13, to which the reliefs 10 are connected.
In the variant illustrated in FIG. 3a, the pressure is applied via a flexible film 15 chosen so as to prevent the polymer material 3 from adhering to it too strongly, for example a polyethylene film.
Ce procédé permet d'obtenir une surface décorée en volume, par exemple un sac.FIG. 4 shows an example of a tubular support 1 in which the polymeric material has been introduced on the inner side, then the support has been twisted so as to form a string of ellipsoid patterns 16 regularly spaced, filled with polymeric material. such a string of patterns can form a necklace, for example. In FIG. 5, the pressure P is exerted using a shaped object 17 applied to the polymer material 3. The pressure P 'can be exerted by the displacement and the tension of the support 1 in contact with the object 17. The shaped object 17 can be used simply as a tool in the decorative process step, or be definitively integrated into the final object thus obtained. This method makes it possible to obtain a surface decorated in volume, for example a bag.
