Abstract

A method of precisely determining the location of a fault (23) on an electric transmission line (18) by detecting and monitoring (21, 28) low frequency content in high frequency bursts produced by faults, including determining if data is from an actual fault, or is noise and optionally including use of RF Marker signals transmitted over the airway.
