Abstract

本発明は、溶接熱影響部の強度と靭性を同時に母材と同等に高めることのできる、引張り強さ550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材およびその製造方法を提供するもので、質量%で、C=0.005~0.10%、W=0.10~3.0%、Nb=0.010~0.080%、V=0.010~0.50%を含有し、Tiを0.005%未満に制限し、EC=2[C]−[Nb]/9−[V]/12>0.020を満たし、鋼材中に含まれるWの析出量が、定電位電解抽出残渣を蛍光X線分析によって定量分析して得られる分析値において0.0050%以下であり、鋼の断面における組織構成の60%以上がベイナイト組織であることを特徴とする、溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材、およびその製造方法である。

溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材お よびその製造方法
技術分野
本発明は、 引張り強さが 550MPa以上と高く、 詳しくは鋼板の圧延 明
方向の引張り強さが 550MPa以上であり、 各種構造用材料あるいは機 械用部品と して、 組み立て、 建造の際に主に溶接を適用し、 その継 手特性にも母材と同等の仕様が必要で書ある高張力鋼、 例えば造船、 橋梁、 建築用各種鋼材、 さ らには室温以下の温度で使用する耐圧貯 蔵容器の製造に際して使用する鋼材に関する。
背景技術
炭素含有量が 0. 3 %以下のいわゆる低炭素鋼は、 加工性と溶接性 に優れ、 多くの構造物で使用される。 建築物、 車両、 船舶、 産業用 機械などはこれら低炭素鋼で骨格、 あるいは内隔ないしは外殻を構 成し、 構造体が必要とする強度を主に担う。 Cを低減した 「軟鋼」 では、 その強度を極力高めて構造体の重量を軽減するための技術開 発が盛んに行われてきた。 溶接構造でなる構造体は、 鋼の比強度 ( 単位質量あたりの強さ) を上げることで大型化もしく は構造の複雑 化、 さ らには強度が高いことで得られる安全性を獲得してきた。
しかし、 低炭素鋼の強度上昇には炭素以外の合金元素の大量添加 が必要であったり、 あるいは鋼の製造に際して厳格に結晶組織を制 御するための装置の複雑化を伴うなど、 高強度化あるいは加工性を 得る代わりに生産性の低下や生産コス 卜の上昇を伴う という問題が あった。 特に近年は、 構造体製造時に不可避の溶接施工工程を極力 短縮するこ とが試みられ、 溶接入熱を増大させる技術の開発が進め られた。 その結果、 溶接時の入熱は 5万 J / cmを超えるこ とが多く なり、 一部には 1 0万 J Z cnu 建築物では 20万/ cmを超える入熱で の溶接さえ実施されている。 こ う した高い溶接入熱の場合、 被溶接 材料は大きな熱影響を受け、 溶融金属の直近では 1400°Cもの高温に さ らされ、 また鋼の A 3変態点である 900°C以上の温度にさ らされ る、 いわゆる 「溶接熱影響部」 の幅が広く なる。
その結果、 この溶接熱影響部では、 厳格に組織を制御して製造し た低炭素鋼の組織が、 大きな溶接入熱による昇温と、 その後の溶接 継手の冷却速度とで決まる制御不可能な組織形態に変質するこ とに なる。 溶接後に残留応力除去のための焼き鈍し程度の熱処理は施さ れるにせよ、 そう した熱処理は変態点以上への再加熱ではないこ と から、 変質した組織を改善させるこ とは困難である。
こ う した溶接熱影響部においても、 構造体は溶接熱影響のない健 全部と同様な特性を極力維持するこ とが求められるため、 結局はこ の溶接熱影響部での鋼材の特性発揮が最重要課題となり、 その確保 のための技術開発が材料開発の主要課題となった。
結晶組織、 特に溶接ボン ド近傍の旧 y粒径の増大を防止すべく 、 高温で分解しにく い窒化物や酸化物を利用した鋼材に関する発明が 特公昭 57— 19744号公報および特許第 3256118号などで記載されてい る。 しかし、 本発明で対象とする、 強度が 550MPa以上で、 組織の構 成が 60 %以上べィナイ トである高張力鋼においては、 これらの発明 を適用しても、 材料の強度を発現するために実施した結晶組織の製 造時における上述の形態、 すなわち母材と同等の結晶粒径、 転位密 度、 析出物の分散密度は溶接時の熱影響によつて再変態を経過する こ とによつて変化してしま うために再現するこ とが困難であり、 母 材と同等の靭性が確保できる場合でもこ う した熱影響部での強度を 母材と同等にするこ とが困難となる という課題が未解決であった。 一方で、 Niや Cr, Moなどを添加して、 鋼材の焼き入れ性を向上し 、 強度を確保する手法も当然、 合金設計の考え方と しては妥当であ る。 しかし、 Niや Moは高価な元素であって、 工業的には構造用鋼に 例えば 5 %を超えて大量添加するこ とは実用的ではない。 コス 卜の 大幅上昇を嫌って、 添加量を制限する場合には効果が少なく 、 コス ト増が問題となるため、 実用的な解決策にはなり がたい。 また、 Cr は析出脆化を起こ しやすく 、 強度上昇と引き替えに靭性を失ってし ま う。 Nb, V , Tiなどの元素を大量に添加した場合でも同様であり 、 高張力鋼の熱影響部の特性をバランス良く得よ う とする場合には 、 工業的にほとんど手詰ま りの状態となっていた。
一方で、 その機構は不明であるが、 Wを添加し、 材料の強度向上 を図る技術については、 耐熱鋼を中心に多く の技術が開発されてい る。 特開平 10— 46290号公報、 特開平 8—225884号公報および特開 平 9—217146号公報には Crを 0. 8%以上含有する耐熱鋼において、 そのク リーブ破断強度を向上させる 目的で Wを 0. 01〜3. 5%含有す る鋼材についての発明が記載されている。 ただし、 これらはいずれ もク リーブ特性の向上が趣旨であって、 その溶接熱影響部における 強度と靭性の両立については、 耐熱鋼の仕様温度が最低でも 400°C 以上であるために靭性に対する要求がほとんど無く 、 あっても施工 時の割れ、 あるいは水圧試験時の損傷を対象と したものであり、 ま た元来耐熱鋼で構成される高温高圧の発電プラン トあるいは石油化 学プラン トでは入熱の高い溶接条件は、 溶接継ぎ手の脆化を懸念し て、 これを全く採用しない。 従って、 Wの添加は大入熱の溶接熱影 響部特性を制御するためのものではなく 、 また鋼中での存在形態も 当然異なっていて、 本発明の対象とする室温以下での構造体に施さ れる大入熱溶接の熱影響部における特性確保を考慮しておらず、 そ の化学成分構成が原因となり、 仮に大入熱溶接を適用した場合には 必然的に靭性は著しく低下することが通例であった。
また、 室温以下で使用される構造用材料に Wを添加する技術につ いては、 他の鋼材の特性向上を図るために適用されている例がある 。 特許第 2633743号公報には結晶粒径を微細に制御する厚銅板の製 造方法に関する発明の開示があり、 Wを 2. 0 %以下の範囲で添加す る鋼材に関する発明の記載がある。 しかし、 この場合には Wを材料 の焼入れ性向上の目的で添加しているため、 その析出割合に関して の記載が無く、 従って固溶強化を効果的に利用する技術については 全く知見されていない。 特開平 4— 350119号公報では鋼板の幅方向 温度分布を制御して鋼板の板面内結晶粒を至る所均一に制御する方 法に関する発明の記載があるが、 やはり この場合にも Wの添加は焼 入れ性向上が目的であって、 析出量を制限する技術の記載がない。 すなわち Wの固溶強化を積極的に利用する技術の記載がない。 同様 に特開平 9 — 271806号公報では鋼板表面のスケール均一性を目的と した鋼板の製造方法と鋼板に関する発明の記載があるものの、 上記 の技術と全く 同様に Wの析出制御に関する知見が無く、 固溶強化の 積極的利用は考慮されていない。
特開平 7 — 331382号公報および特開 2003— 3229号公報では溶接熱 影響部の疲労強度を向上させる発明に関する記載があり、 Wを 0. 01 〜2. 0 %添加し、 析出強化または固溶強化で作用させる記載がみら れる。 しかし、 その析出割合に対しての言及はなく、 金属間化合物 と しての析出も全く知見しておらず、 単に Wを添加することで鋼材 強度の向上を目的と したものであり、 当然析出量の制御がなされな い場合はこれら技術を用いても、 本発明の課題である 550MPa級鋼の 強度と靭性を母材と溶接部ともに達成することは上述の理由から困 難である。 一方、 Tiと Wを同時に添加し、 Wを析出させて強化に寄与させる 発明に関しての記載が特開 2003— 313630号公報に見られる。 しかし 、 Tiと Wとを同時添加する技術的思想は特許第 2987735号公報にも 記載があって、 さ らに熱処理で組織を制御する方法を併記してはい るが、 安定な Ti— W— Cの析出物の分解などは、 その性質上生じる はずもなく、 むしろ析出量を規定して有効利用する旨の知見がある のみである。
従って以上述べてきたように、 従来技術にある高張力鋼の合金設 計において Wは常に析出強化によ り材料強度を向上させることを第 一の作用 ' 効果と して用いる発明に関するもののみであり、 これら の発明では必然的に溶接熱影響部での析出物による脆化は避けがた く、 強度 550MPa以上の高張力鋼における溶接の熱影響部において母 材と同様な強度と靭性特性を確保することは実現することができな いという課題が残されていた。 発明の開示
本発明は、 従来の高張力鋼が抱える問題点、 すなわち低炭素鋼の 強度靭性バランスを調質して製造する引張り強さが 550MPa級以上の 鋼材において、 溶接熱影響部の強度と靭性を同時に母材と同等に高 めることが困難であるという問題点を解決する鋼材を提案し、 さ ら にその化学成分を有する鋼において強度と靭性バラ ンスを常に安定 して得るための製造方法についても同時に提供する。
本発明は上記のような従来鋼の課題、 すなわち引張り強さ 550MPa 以上の高靭性高張力鋼であって、 入熱が 5万 J / cmを超える大入熱 溶接の熱影響部の靭性を確保することを必須とする鋼材において、 継手と母材の強度、 靭性を同等とするためになされたものであって 、 その要旨とするところは以下の通りである。 ( 1 ) 質量0 /oで、 C : 0· 005〜0.10%、 Si : 0· 01〜0.40%、 Μη: 0.1 0〜3.0%、 Α1 : 0.010〜0.10%、 W : 0.10〜3.0%、 V : 0.010~0.5 0%、 Nb : 0.010〜0.080%を含有し、 不純物と して Ρ、 S、 N、 O
、 Tiを、 P : 0.020%以下、 S : 0.0040%以下、 N : 0.006%以下、 O : 0.0060%以下、 Ti : 0.005%未満に制限し、 下記 ( 1 ) 式の EC 値が 0.020超であり、 残部が Feおよび不可避的不純物よ りなり、 鋼 材中に含まれる Wの析出量が、 定電位電解抽出残渣を蛍光 X線分析 によつて定量分析して得られる分析値において 0.0050%以下であり 、 鋼の断面における組織構成の 60%以上がべィナイ ト組織であるこ とを特徴とする、 溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以 上の高張力鋼材。

( 2 ) さらに、 質量0 /0で、 Ni : 0.010〜0.50%、 Cu: 0.010~0.50% 、 Co : 0.010〜0,50%の 1種または 2種以上を含有することを特徴 とする、 上記 ( 1 ) に記載の溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材。
( 3 ) さらに、 質量0 /。で、 Cr : 0.020〜ひ.60%、 Mo : 0.010〜 0.50% の 1種または 2種を含有し、 上記 ( 1 ) 式に代え、 下記 ( 2 ) 式の EC値が 0.020超であることを特徴とする、 上記 ( 1 ) または ( 2 ) に記載の溶接性および靱性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張 力鋼材。

( 5 ) 上記 ( 1 ) ないし ( 4 ) のいずれか 1項に記載の成 ¾·を有す る鋼片を、 常法によ り、 加熱しまたは铸造後の顕熱によ り加熱する ことなく、 粗圧延、 仕上圧延を行い、 その直後に 1 °CZ s以上の冷 却速度で加速冷却しまたは放冷することによ りべイナィ ト組織を得 、 さ らに、 200〜700°Cの温度域に加熱所要時間 1 〜240分で昇温し 、 該温度域に 10分以上 10時間以下保持した後、 l °CZ s以上の冷却 速度で加速冷却しまたは放冷することを特徴とする、 鋼の断面にお ける組織構成の 60%以上がべィナイ ト組織であり、 鋼材中に含まれ る Wの析出量が、 定電位電解抽出残渣を蛍光 X線分析によって定量 分析して得られる分析値において 0.0050%以下である、 溶接性およ び靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材の製造方法。 図面の簡単な説明 °

本発明の 550MPa級以上の強度を有する、 母材および溶接継手の双 方で靭性に優れた鋼材とその製造方法について説明する。
先ず、 本発明の目的を達成するために、 鋼材中に基本成分と して 含有する化学成分および不可避的不純物と して制限すべき化学成分 の限定理由について説明する。 なお、 以下の説明において特に説明 のない限り、 「%」 は 「質量%」 を意味するものとする。
C : Cは鋼材の組織を形成し、 その強度を決定する上で厳密に制 御する必要のある重要な元素である。 本発明ではその引張り強さが
550MPa以上である高張力鋼に関しているため、 組織はべイナィ 卜、 あるいはマルテンサイ トおよびべィナイ 卜 とマルテンサイ 卜の混合 組織であることが望ましい。 この観点から鋼材の製造時における冷 却速度、 他の合金添加元素を勘案して、 その下限を 0. 005%に限定 した。 0. 005 %未満の炭素量では強度の低下が生じ、 本発明の目的 とする高張力鋼は得られない。 また、 Cを 0. 10%を超えて添加する 場合、 本発明の最大の特徴である Wを固溶状態にと どめおく 目的が 達成できない場合があることから、 その添加上限を 0. 10%と した。 なお、 C含有量下限は、 下記 ( 1 ) , ( 2 ) 式の EC値によっても規 制される。
S i : S iは鋼材の製造において、 脱酸ないしは粒内固溶強化に有効 である。 その効果は 0. 01 %から発現し、 0. 40 %を超えて添加すると 基材である鉄との原子半径差に起因する強化作用が大きくなりすぎ るためにかえって靭性を損なう場合があることから、 その添加上限 を 0. 40 %と した。
Mn : Mnは鋼材の焼入れ性を高めて組織による強化に利用できる元 素である。 その効果は 0. 10%から発現し、 3. 0%を超えて添加する と铸造工程において強偏析を生じてイ ンゴッ 卜の損壊を招聘する場 合があることから、 その添加範囲を 0. 10〜3. 0%に限定した。
A 1 : A 1は強い脱酸効果を有し、 本発明鋼の出鋼脱酸時あるいは二 次精練時に鋼中酸素濃度を制御することができる。 加えて、 脱酸以 外にも窒素との親和力が高く、 鋼中窒素濃度を制御する能力を有す る。 本発明鋼では意図的に T iを制限して鋼中に析出しないように配 慮しているが、 A1が窒素を固定することで、 T iの窒化物と しての析 出は実質的に皆無となることから、 A1は単なる脱酸を目的と して添 加するだけではなく、 鋼中窒素の制御元素、 ひいては T iの析出を制 限することに特徴を有している。 その効果は 0. 010%から顕著とな り、 0. 10%を超えて添加する場合、 鋼中に A1酸化物 (主に A12 03 ) のクラスターを生成して、 かえって鋼材の靭性を損なう ことから、 その添加範囲を 0. 010〜 0. 10 %に制限した。
W : Wは本発明鋼の主要必須添加元素であり、 固溶状態で存在さ せることで発明の効果を発揮する。 固溶元素と して基材格子にひず みを与え、 強化するのに必要な最低添加量が 0. 10%であり、 3. 0 % を超えて添加することは、 ミク 口偏析を助長して組織均一性が失わ れ、 ペイナイ ト組織を均一に得られない場合があり、 靭性を劣化さ せることから、 その添加範囲を 0. 10〜 3. 0%に限定した。 なお、 W を添加して固溶状態で留めおくためには Wの添加量を単に規制する だけでは難しく、 後述する EC値を 0. 020超と して Wが炭化物中に部 分的に取り込まれないようにする必要がある。
Nb: Nbは鋼中で炭素と結合して鋼材の変態挙動に影響を与える。 特に AC 3点以下の温度で鋼材を圧延する場合に、 組成的過冷却状態 にあるオーステナイ ト相の再結晶を抑制する効果に優れ、 加えて熱 処理時に析出した場合には析出強化にも有効である。 その添加は 0. 010%未満では効果がなく、 0. 080 %を超えて添加する場合'には、 粗 大な炭化物と して結晶粒界に析出する傾向があり、 その場合に本発 明の最大の特徴である固溶 Wが Nbの一部を置換して炭化物中に固溶 するこ とで間接的に析出する場合があることから、 その添加上限を 0. 08%に限定した。
V : Vは Nbと同様に炭化物と して析出するが、 主に 500°C以下の 冷却中に、 あるいは熱処理時に析出するこ とで析出強化作用を通じ て鋼材を強化する。 また、 析出しない状態にある Vは鋼材の焼き入 れ性を高め、 低温変態を誘引し、 強度向上に貢献する。 その添加量 は 0.010%から発現し、 0.50%を超えて添加する場合には粗大な粒 界炭化物と して析出し、 これも同様に一部が Wと置換するため、 W を固溶状態に留めおく こ とを特徴とする本発明の効果を減ずるこ と から、 その添加範囲を 0.010〜0.50%に制限した。
本発明は、 鋼材中に含まれる Wの析出量が 0.0050%以下であるこ とを特徴とする。 Wの析出量が 0.0050%以下の場合に、 Wの固溶強 化の機能が十分に発揮されるからである。 また、 鋼材の W析出量が 0.0050%以下である と、 溶接熱影響部の W析出をも抑えるこ とがで きる。 このための目標値と して析出 W量は、 定電位電解抽出残渣の 湿式定量分析結果によって絶対値を測定する場合において、 0.0050 質量%以下であるこ と と規定している。 本発明では添加した Wの少 なく と も 95%以上を固溶状態で活用する。 一方、 Wの析出量を 0.00 50%以下とするためには、 Nbや Vなどの強い炭化物形成能を有する 添加元素は単独に上限値を限定するだけでは不十分であり、 Wの析 出を安定して防止するこ とができない。 W析出量を 0.0050%以下と するための本発明の第 1 の特徴は、 炭素との間に下記 ( 1 ) 式に示 す EC値が 0.020超となるよ うに、 同時に連関した制限を加えるこ と にある。
EC= 2 [ C %] - [Nb%] / 9 - [V%] /12 ··· ( 1 ) この値は、 実験的に得られた経験式の計算値であり、 この不等式 を満足するよ う に C, Nb, Vの添加量に制限を加えないと、 本発明 の特徴である固溶 Wの最大活用が達成できない。
なお、 Cは鋼材強度と組織制御の点から添加するが、 Nは不純物 と して低減しているので、 EC値には算入しない。 なお、 式 ECを定義したのは、 以下のような実験結果に基づく。 本発明および、 本発明からは Nb, Vの添加量が過剰側に EC値の式 の制限から外れる鋼を 50kg、 300kg , 2 t onの真空溶解で溶製し、 ィ ンゴッ トに铸造して、 その後必要に応じて熱間鍛造等で圧延用の小 型スラブと し、 実験室の熱間圧延機にて 15〜60mmの厚みの鋼板に熱 間圧延した。 圧延温度は 700〜: L 000°Cの間で種々変化させ、 圧延後 の冷却は放冷もしく は水冷を実施した。 その後、 材料の強度を 550M Pa級以上でかつ、 0 °C以下の靱性遷移温度を有するように、 必要に 応じて焼戻した。 また別途 Ac 3点以上に再加熱して焼入れ、 あるい は放冷などの再熱処理を加え、 さらに加えて焼戻し処理を 1回また は複数回実施した。
鋼板の圧延方向と平行な方向の板厚 1 2位置から J I S Z2201に 記載の 4号引張り試験片で強度が 550MPa以上であることを確認した 後、 J I S Z2202に記載の 2 mmV溝付き 4号衝撃試験片で延性—脆性破 面遷移温度 (以降単に遷移温度と称する。 ) を求め、 同時に鋼材の 1板厚中心位置から 15mm角の分析用試験片を採取し、 これを定電位 電解して得た残渣を吸引濾過して採取し、 その濾紙上に捕らえた析 出物を X線回折によって構造解析し、 加えて湿式分析 (主に酸溶解 後に蛍光 X線分析) にて捕集量を検量、 その後、 最初に溶解した基 材の質量を検量 (解け残った基材の量を秤量して溶解前の量からの 差と して算出) して、 析出割合を質量%で求めた。 図 1 はこの実験 結果を示す。 横軸は EC値であり、 縦軸が析出 W量である。 EC値が 0. 020超では析出 W量が 0. 0050 %を超えることは無い事が明らかであ る。
さらに、 上記の式 ( 1 ) で与えられる EC値が 0. 020超であっても 、 本鋼はまだ安定して固溶 Wの最大活用には至らない。 これは本発 明鋼を種々の用途に適用する上で重要で、 特に粒界に炭化物を形成 するよ うな製造条件、 例えば熱間圧延後の制御冷却時、 圧延後の通 常の冷却時、 または熱処理等の工程中、 T i ( C, N ) の析出がある と、 Wは (Ti, W ) ( C, N ) の形で析出する場合があって、 特に 鋼板の中心偏析部で Tiが濃縮される部位がある場合に生じやすいこ とを、 発明者らは実験によって知見した。 この効果は Nb, Vの効果 と現象論的には同様のものであるが、 それらよ り も Wによる置換が 頻発する傾向があり、 式のよ うな他元素との加算効果と して整理で きない性質のものである。
Wの Ti ( C, N ) 中への固溶を防止するには種々の熱処理や製造 プロセスの工夫も一部有効ではあるが、 完全に防止するこ とが難し く 、 基本的に Tiく 0. 005%と し、 Ti ( C, N ) の析出そのものを制 限してしま う こ とが最も有効な防止策であるこ とを、 実験結果の解 析によって知見した。
即ち、 W析出量を 0. 0050%以下とするための本発明の第 2の特徴 は、 Tiく 0. 005%とするこ とである。 Tiの含有量と しては、 耐火物 からの混入も含めた不純物と しての Tiを意味している。
Tiを 0. 005 %以上含有する場合、 析出 T iと結合する C量は 12. 5pPm 以上となる。 この結合 Tiの半分が Wに置換した場合でも、 0. 0095% が析出するこ とになる。 添加 Ti量が増加すればこの値はさ らに上昇 する。 実際には TiCの一部を Wが置換する割合は半分以下であるた め、 実質的に Tiを 0. 005%未満に制限しさえすれば Wの炭化物と し ての析出は制御できる。
本発明はこれらの新規知見の上に依ってたつものであり 、 従来の W添加鋼に関連する技術とは異なっている。
なお、 本発明では上記の Ti以外にも不可避的不純物と して P、 S 、 Nと Oの混入がある。 鋼材の強度と靭性を維持し、 構造用材料た ら しめるためにはこれらの許容含有量に制限を加える必要があり、 それぞれ Pは 0. 020 %以下、 鋼材の靭性を安定して高く維持するた めに、 好ましく は 0. 010%以下、 Sは 0. 0040%以下、 Pの制限理由 と全く 同様の理由から好ましく は 0. 0030%以下とする必要がある。 Nは Tiと炭窒化物を生成すると Wの析出を誘引する。 A1によって固 定されるべき元素であるため、 その含有量を 0. 006 %に制限した。 制限が無い場合、 製造工程で大気中よ り容易に混入する。 Oは脱酸 剤である A1を投与する場合に製造工程の耐火物から混入する場合が あるので、 その上限を管理する必要があって、 0. 0060%以下と した 以上が本発明の根幹である。 本発明では発明の効果を活用すべく 、 必要に応じて以下の合金元素を追加して添加することができる。
Ni, Co , Cu: 何れも γ相の安定化元素であり、 鋼材に添加して焼 入れ性を向上させ強度を高めることに有効であり、 Wの析出には影 響を与えない。 Niと Coはさらに鋼材の靭性を高め、 Cuは靭性に影響 を与えない。 その効果はそれぞれ 0. 010%から認められ、 0. 50 %を 超えて添加する場合には、 Niでは Wと逆偏析して Wの ミ ク ロ偏析を 助長することから靭性ゃ強度が鋼板の各部でバラツキが出ることが あるため、 Coでは製造コス トの問題から大量添加が困難であるため 、 Cuは粒界脆化によって鋼材の熱間加工性を低下させる場合がある ことから、 その添加量上限を全て 0. 50%に制限した。
Cr , Mo : 何れもフェライ ト相安定化元素であり、 鋼材の焼入れ性 向上に特に顕著に貢献する。 その効果は Crが 0. 020%から、 Moは 0. 0 10%から認められ、 両者ともに炭化物形成元素であることから、 熱 処理時等に炭化物として析出した場合、 Nb, Vと同様に Wを一部固 溶して、 添加した Wの固溶強化能を減ずる場合がある。 それぞれ単 独ではその上限を 0. 60%と 0. 50%に制限するが、 複合して添加する 場合は EC値で換算して制限する必要がある。 図 1 を得た方法と全く 同様の実験によって、 Crと Moの添加量から下記 ( 2 ) 式のよ うに補 正式を EC値に追加して加算し、 新たな EC値と して、 ( 2 ) 式で規定 される EC値を 0.020超とするこ とによ り、 Wの析出量を 0.0050%以 下に制御可能であるこ とを見出した。

ここで、 [ C ] 、 [Nb] 、 [V] 、 [Cr] 、 [Mo] は各成分の質 量%である。
Crと Moの場合には Nb, Vほどには Cとの親和力が高く なく 、 Nb, Vの存在下では極少量しか析出できない。 そのため、 それぞれの係 数は Nbや Vと異なって小さな値となっている。
B : Bは極少量の添加で焼入れ性を向上させる。 Wの析出とは全 く無関係なので、 W添加量との間に合金設計上の制限は無い。 その 添加は 0.0003%から有効で、 0.0035%を超えて添加する と、 硼化物 を生成して鋼材の靭性を劣化させる場合があるこ とから、 添加量を 0.0003%〜0.0035%に制限した。
さ らに本発明では靭性を必要とする鋼材において最も有害な MnS の生成防止のためにその形態制御元素と して、 Ca, Mg, La, Ce, Y の一種または二種以上を単独で、 あるいは同時に添加するこ と もま た可能である。 先の元素群と、 これら元素群は単独で、 あるいは同 時に添加するこ とができて、 それぞれ本発明の効果を妨げない。
Ca: Caは溶鋼中に添加して S と結合し、 鋼中の活性 Sを トラ ップ する機能を有している。 転炉、 二次精鍊、 連続铸造の凝固時に添加 できて、 粗大 MnSの生成を効果的に防止する。 その脱硫効果は 0.000 3%から顕れ、 0.0045%を超えて添加した場合には酸化物クラスタ 一を生成して鋼材の靭性を損なう場合があるこ とから、 その添加範 囲を 0.0003%〜0.0045%と した。 Mg: Mgも同様に S と結合して MgSを生成するこ とによ り粗大 MnSの 生成を防止する能力を有する。 かっては製鋼技術が未発達であった ためにあま り頻繁には用いられていなかつたが、 近年、 添加合金の 改良によ り有効な脱硫剤と して添加できるよ う になった。 本発明で はこの Mgも脱硫剤と して添加するこ とができる。 その効果は 0. 0003 %から認められ、 0. 0045 %を超える添加では、 粒界に偏析して鋼材 の熱間加工性を低下させる場合があるこ とから、 その上限を 0. 0045 %に制限した。
Y , Ce, La : 希土類元素の中で脱硫能を有する元素である。 いず れも Ca, Mgと同様な効果を有する。 その効果は 0. 001 %から発現し 、 0. 050 %を超えて添加する と、 酸化物ク ラスターを形成して鋼材 の靭性を低下させる場合があるこ とから、 その添加範囲を 0. 001 % 〜0. 050 %に制限した。
なお、 本発明は 550MPa級以上の強度を有する高張力銅に関するが 、 その組織がフェライ ト単相組織である と強度目標を達成できない 。 γ相から α相への冷却変態時に格子変態であるべィナイ ト変態を 生じ、 結果と してべィナイ ト組織を得る と、 それを焼戻しても微細 な組織が得られ、 鋼材の破壊靭性を向上させる と同時に、 鋼中に多 量の転位を導入して鋼材の強度を向上させる効果を有する。
本発明では Wを固溶強化元素と して最大限に活用する。 従って、 Wの効果が最も顕著に表れるためには、 鋼材を変形させる時に生じ る転位の運動を妨げる転位運動障害の間隔が固溶元素 Wの最近接距 離よ り も広く なければならない。 すなわち、 W原子による転位の移 動抑制が主要な転位運動障害になる必要がある。 そのためには鋼中 転位密度が 101 2〜: L 01 5 Z m 2程度となる必要がある。 また同時に、 鋼中転位密度が 101 2 / m 2よ り低い場合には基材がフェライ ト組織 となり、 強度が 550MPa級には及ばないこ と、 鋼中転位密度が 101 5 Z m 2よ り高い場合には組織がマルテンサイ ト となって強度が高くな りすぎるために、 長時間の熱処理を必ず併用して靭性を確保しなけ ればならなくなることから、 組織がベイナイ トを含むことを必要条 件と した。
ここで 「ベイナイ ト組織」 との表現は、 さらに詳しくは 「上部べ ィナイ ト」 および 「下部べィナイ ト」 が面積率で 60 %以上である場 合を意味し、 組織が複雑でその判別が金属組織学的に困難である場 合には転位密度と して 101 2〜101 5程度の範囲にあれば良い。 本発明 の効果発現には組織の制御は重要で、 この制限がないと Wを含有す る効果が得られなく なる。
また、 本発明においては製造方法に関する特別の制限はないが、 結果と してべイナイ ト組織 (焼き戻したものも含む) を有していれ ばよい。 ただし、 下部べイナイ トを主体とする組織の場合、 あるい は上部 ィナイ トであっても硬質第二相 (炭化物や残留オーステナ ィ トなど) を多量に含み、 靭性を獲得しにくい場合には焼戻しを施 して本発明鋼の靭性を高めることができる。 ただし、 本発明はあく まで Wの固溶強化を活用する技術であり、 追加実施する熱処理で W が 0. 005 %を超えて析出することは避けねばならない。
そのためには熱処理の昇温は Wが析出しないよ うな範囲で速やか に実施する必要がある。 すなわち、 加熱方法、 手段には依らず 200 〜 700°Cの温度域に加熱所要時間 1 〜 240分で昇温し、 該温度域に 10 分以上 10時間以下保持した後、 l °C / s以上の冷却速度で加速冷却 しまたは放冷することで、 鋼材の靭性を高める。 この加熱所要時間 が 240分を超えて長時間になる場合、 あるいは高温での保持時間が 1 0時間以上になると、 Wは炭化物ではなく金属間化合物 Fe2 Wと して 析出し、 固溶強化能が失われる。 すなわち、 焼き戻しを実施するに あたって昇温速度、 保持時間には留意が必要であり、 これら制限無 く して w含有固溶強化鋼を工業的に安定した特性を付与して生産す ることは困難であることが、 本発明者らの研究開発によって明らか となった。 昇温の手段はガスバーナー、 抵抗加熱方式を用いた管状 炉による通常の連続加熱設備、 鋼管等でも一般的な誘導加熱設備を 用いた迅速熱処理設備、 あるいは赤外線ゃ通電加熱等の新しい加熱 方式を用いても良く、 Wの析出を抑制するための迅速加熱を適用す ることが望ましい。 なお、 加熱後に析出脆化を嫌う材料では、 加速 冷却して脆化温度帯通過時間を制限する方法も有効である。
本鋼の製造工程そのものについては何ら制限がない。 高炉一転炉 の銑鋼一貫工程を適用することも、 真空誘導加熱炉を用いた高純度 鋼製造工程を使用したり、 電気炉ー炉外精練設備を適用することも
、 また一度製造したイ ンゴッ トを再溶融して不純物を低減する ESR 法、 帯状溶融法なども全て適用できて、 本発明鋼の製造は可能であ る。 また、 熱間圧延、 熱間加工、 鍛造、 鋼管成型、 続く熱処理にも 制限が無く、 鋼材を目的とする形状に製造する上での制限は無く、 本発明の効果を適用することができる。 実施例
請求項 1 〜 4に記載の本発明鋼を、 通常の高炉一転炉一二次精練 一連続铸造—熱間圧延—熱処理工程を経て、 厚み 6〜 120mmの鋼板 と し、 あるいは別途電気炉熔解一二次精鍊ーイ ンゴッ ト铸造ー熱間 鍛造一熱間圧延一熱処理工程を経て同様に鋼板試験片を作成した。 一部には請求項 5に記載の本発明の迅速熱処理を実施した。 鋼塊重 量は 2 t on力、ら 300t on、 鋼板は 6 〜: 12 m長、 2〜 4 m幅で 1. 8〜: ! 2t o nの重量となった。 この鋼板試験片から、 鋼板幅方向中心部、 板厚 1 4位置、 および 1 / 2位置よ り各種試験片を採取し、 鋼板特性 の代表値と した。 図 2は試験片の採取要領を示す図である。 図 2に おいて、 1 は鋼板試験片、 2は J I S Z 2202 4号試験片、 3は J I S Z2 201 4号引張試験片、 4は板厚中心位置、 5 は鋼板の圧延方向を示 している。
試作鋼板には種々の熱処理を施した。 熱間圧延ままのもの、 およ び焼戻し処理を Ac 1点以下で実施するもの、 焼き入れ焼戻し処理を 実施するもの、 焼準処理を実施するもの、 焼戻しを複数回実施する もの、 焼戻しの後にさ らに冷間加工を実施し、 加えて応力除去焼鈍 を実施したものについても評価した。 ただし、 焼戻しについては請 求項 6に記載の本発明の迅速加熱処理方法を適用し、 Wの析出を防 止した。
評価は前記の方法で採取した J I S Z 2201 4号引張り試験片で引張 り特性を、 同じく 2 mmVノ ッチつき J I S Z 2202 4号衝撃試験片でシ ャルピー吸収エネルギー遷移曲線を採取し、 さ らに金属組織を圧延 方向と平行な断面で光学顕微鏡にて組織現出腐食を施した後に観察 し、 組織がベイナイ トであるこ とを確認した。 また、 材料中に存在 する W化合物は、 有機酸を用いた基材の定電位電解で残渣を抽出し 、 その X線回折によ り存在形態を、 また湿式分析によ り W量を分析 し、 化学量論比に基づいて析出量を計算した。 試作した鋼は、 30度 の V開先を加工し、 入熱 20万 J Z cmのアーク溶接を実施し、 溶接後 に J I S Z 2202 4号衝撃試験片を採取し、 ボン ド位置に V溝が位置す るよ う加工して、 シャルピー吸収エネルギーを測定して溶接継手の 靭性を代表 (以降、 継手の靭性と称する) した。
表 1 〜 4には本発明鋼の化学成分、 引張り強さ、 母材中の析出 W 量を示した。 また、 W析出制御パラメータ EC値、 加えて— 20°Cにお ける母材と溶接継手の靭性を示した。 本発明鋼を構造用鋼と して考 えた場合に、 最低限度必要な靭性値と して、 寒冷地での使用も考慮 して一 20°Cの吸収エネルギーは 47 J 以上が必要である場合が通常、 多いため、 これをしきい値と して評価に用いた。 すなわち、 47 J以 下の吸収エネルギーを発揮できない材料は、 本発明鋼の目的を達し ていないと判断した。 また、 既に述べたごと く、 引張り強さを向上 させる Wの効果は、 材料強度にかかわらず発揮されるが'、 特に強度 を向上させたい材料で工業的に有意であることは言うまでもない。 従って、 高張力鋼に使用される場合を想定して、 これにもしきい値 を設け、 先述の 550MPa以上を発揮する材料であることが本発明鋼の 条件と した。 すなわち、 本発明鋼は 550MPa以上の強度を有するとと もに、 Wを含有して— 20°Cにおける吸収エネルギーが 47 J以上の材 料特性を有する鋼に限られる。

表 5, 6には本発明に対する比較鋼の分析、 評価結果を示した。 比較鋼の内、 50番鋼は Cが下限値以下とな り、 EC値が 0. 020以下と なる と と もに、 引張り強さを確保できなかった例、 51番鋼は Cが過 多となり、 母材靭性が確保できなかった例、 52番鋼は S iが不足し、 脱酸が不十分となって酸化物ク ラスタ一 (主に Mn酸化物) が生成し 、 母材、 継手と もに靭性が劣化した例、 53番鋼は S iが過多となり 、 S i酸化物のク ラスターが生成して母材、 継手と もに靭性が確保でき なかった例、 54番鋼は Mn添加量が不足し、 鋼材の引張り強さが不足 した例、 55番鋼は Mnが過多となり、 母材、 継手と もに靭性が劣化し た例、 56番銅は Nbが不足し、 析出強化が不十分となって、 引張り強 さが確保できなかった例、 57番鋼は Nbが過剰となり、 EC値が 0. 020 以下となって Wの固溶強化が有効に作用せず強度が低下し、 同時に 粗大な炭窒化物が多数生成し、 母材と継手の靭性が劣化した例、 58 番鋼は Vが不足し、 析出強化能が低下して強度が確保できなかった 例、 59番鋼は Vが過剰となり、 粗大な炭窒化物が生成して母材と継 手の靭性が劣化し、 さ らに EC値が 0. 020以下となって Wが V ( C , N ) ともに析出して固溶強化能が低下し、 強度も確保できなかった 例、 60番鋼は Wが不足して固溶強化能が低下し、 引張り強さを確保 できなかった例、 61番鋼は Wが過多となり、 Wが多量に析出したた めに靭性劣化と強度不足が同時に生じた例、 62番鋼は A1が不足して 脱酸が不十分とな り、 Mn _ S i系の酸化物ク ラスターが生成して母材 の靭性が劣化した例、 63番鋼は A1添加量が過剰で、 粗大な A12 03ク ラスターが生成し、 母材と継手の靭性が確保できなかった例、 64番 鋼は Bが過剰で粗大 BNと炭硼化物の析出が主に溶接継手ボン ドの粒 界で生じて、 継手靭性が劣化した例、 65番鋼は Nが過多となり、 A1 が適正添加されているにもかかわらず (Nb, V ) ( C , N ) の析出 が増えて、 Wが析出し、 固溶強化能が低下した分、 引張り強さを確 保できなかった例、 66番鋼は Cを過剰添加したために Crの炭化物が 粗大析出し、 特に焼戻し時に脆化して靭性が母材、 継手ともに劣化 した例、 67番鋼は Moを過剰に添加したため、 Mo2 Cが多数生成して母 材と継手の靭性が劣化した例、 68番鋼は Tiを添加したために Ti ( C , N ) の析出が顕著で、 炭窒化物中への固溶が生じて結果的に Wが 析出物中に取り込まれ、 析出 Wとなったために固溶強化能が失われ て強度が確保できなかった例、 69番鋼は化学成分は全て本発明の制 限範通にあった鋼であるが、 焼戻し時の昇温速度を遅く したために 、 析出 W量が著しく増加し、 固溶 Wが減少して強度が低下した例、 70番鋼は EC値のみ制限値である 0. 020以下となり、 Wの析出が生じ て固溶強化能が低下し、 強度が不足した例である。

本発明を適用するこ とによって引張り強さが 550MPa級以上である 高張力鋼において強度と靭性を母材と溶接熱影響部の双方で同時に 達成するこ とのできる鋼材を工業的に安価に供給するこ とが可能と な り、 溶接入熱を高めた高能率溶接の適用が高張力鋼で可能となつ て、 溶接構造物の製造を容易なら しめ、 ェ期短縮、 施工コス ト低減 に貢献する。

Claims

1 . 質量%で、
C : 0.005〜0.10%、
Si : 0.01~0.40%、
Mn: 0.10〜3.0%、
一口
A1 : 0.010〜0.10%、
W : 0.10〜3.0%、
V : 0.010〜0.50%、
Nb: 0.010〜0.080%、 範
を含有し、 不純物と して P、 S、 N、 O、 Tiを、
P : 0.020%以下、 .
S : 0.0040%以下、
N : 0.006%以下、
O : 0.0060%以下
Ti : 0.005%未満
に制限し、 下記 ( 1 ) 式の EC値が 0.020超であり、 残部が Feおよび 不可避的不純物よ りなり、 鋼材中に含まれる Wの析出量が、 定電位 電解抽出残渣を蛍光 X線分析によつて定量分析して得られる分析値 において 0.0050%以下であり、 鋼の断面における組織構成の 60%以 上がべイナイ ト組織であることを特徴とする、 溶接性および靭性に 優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材。

ここで、 [C] 、 [Nb] 、 [V] は各成分の質量0 /oである。
2. さらに、 質量%で、
Ni : 0.010〜0.50%、
Cu: 0.010〜0.50%、 Co : 0.010〜0.50%
の 1種または 2種以上を含有することを特徴とする、 請求項 1 に記 載の溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼 材。
3. Cr : 0.020〜0.60%、
Mo : 0.010〜0.50%
の 1種または 2種を含有し、 上記 ( 1 ) 式に代え、 下記 ( 2 ) 式の EC値が 0.020超であることを特徴とする、 請求項 1 または 2に記載 の溶接性および靭性に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材
EC= 2 [ C ] ― [Nb] / 9 - [V] /\2- [M] … ( 2 ) ただし、 [M] = [Cr] /23+ [Mo] /91
ここで、 [C] 、 [Nb] 、 [V] 、 [Cr] 、 [Mo] は各成分の質 量%である。
4. さらに、 質量0 /oで、 B : 0.0003〜0.0035%、 Ca : 0.0003〜0. 0045%、 Mg : 0.0003〜0.0045%、 Y : 0.001〜 0.050%、 Ce : 0.001 〜0.050%、 La : 0.001〜0.050%を含有することを特徴とする、 請 求項 1ないし 3のいずれか 1項に記載の溶接性および靭性に優れた 引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材。
5. 請求項 1ないし 4のいずれか 1項に記載の成分を有する鋼片 を、 常法によ り、 加熱しまたは铸造後の顕熱によ り加熱することな く 、 粗圧延、 仕上圧延を行い、 その直後に 1 °CZ s以上の冷却速度 で加速冷却しまたは放冷することによ りペイナイ ト組織を得、 さら に、 200〜700°Cの温度域に加熱所要時間 1 〜240分で昇温し、 該温 度域に 10分以上 10時間以下保持した後、 1 °C/ s以上の冷却速度で 加速冷却しまたは放冷することを特徴とする、 鋼の断面における組 織構成の 60%以上がべィナイ ト組織であり、 鋼材中に含まれる Wの 析出量が、 定電位電解抽出残渣を蛍光 X線分析によって定量分析し て得られる分析値において 0. 0050 %以下である、 溶接性および靭性 に優れた引張り強さ 550MPa級以上の高張力鋼材の製造方法。
