Abstract

L'invention concerne une valvule prothétique destinée à remplacer une valvule cardiaque (202) comprenant un élément de support (250) extensible et au moins deux valves (204) constituées d'une première couche de matériau biologique (208) sélectionnée dans le groupe constitué par le tissu péritonéal, le tissu pleural ou le tissu péricardique. Une seconde couche (14a) de matériau biologique est fixée à l'élément de support. Cette seconde couche également est composée de tissu péritonéal, de tissu pleural ou de tissu péricardique. Elle comprend une surface radialement opposée vers l'intérieur qui définit un conduit permettant d'orienter l'écoulement sanguin. Les valves s'étendent sur ledit conduit afin de permettre l'écoulement monodirectionnel du sang à travers le conduit. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant de produire et d'implanter la valvule prothétique.
