Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de communication permettant la signalisation des communications de type champ-étiquette. Selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, un système de communication, tel qu'un système de type PCI Express, peut être configuré pour communiquer sur une liaison de communication à l'aide d'un champ disponible étiquette (ou similaire). Selon un mode de réalisation de la présente invention impliquant des communications PCI Express, un premier dispositif d'extrémité PCI Express (150) est conçu pour communiquer des informations sélectionnées (par exemple, des signaux d'événements synchrones) à un second dispositif d'extrémité PCI Express (152) à l'aide du champ étiquette de données envoyées vers une liaison de communication PCI Express (130). Le champ étiquette est paramétré pour indiquer une caractéristique de l'événement synchrone, et transmis du premier dispositif d'extrémité PCI Express vers le second dispositif d'extrémité PCI Express.
