It should be understood that this angle may increased or decreased, if desired. As mentioned above, the lid may be concave or convex shaped relative to the piercing spike.

  • the enhance wall thickness portion has a preferred thickness at least as great as that of the lid, but certainly greater than that of the lid tear line.

  • the tear line around the lid may be a continuous line of reduced thickness or may comprise an interrupted type line comprised of a plurality of closely spaced reduced thickness lines, extending around the perimeter of the lid.
  • the cap may include a resilient sealing ring 38 positioned against the annular base of the cap between the tubular portion 22 and skirt 20, disposed between the base 18 of the cap and the container when the cap is positioned over the mouth and neck of the container so as to enhance the seal therebetween.
  • the sealing ring may be comprised of polyurethane foam, polystyrene, polypropylene or other suitable resilient material, such as rubber or the like.
  • the sealing ring has a preferred thickness of 1.5mm.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne une capsule plastique monobloc (10) utilisée avec un contenant pour liquides (12) présentant un col (14) qui s'étend vers un goulot (16). La capsule décrite dans cette invention présente une base annulaire (18) et une portion jupe extérieure (20) s'étendant vers le haut depuis un pourtour extérieur de la base. La portion jupe extérieure (20) et la base sont conçues pour être en contact d'étanchéité par dessus le col et le goulot du contenant. Une portion tubulaire (22) définit une ouverture centrale (23) dans la base et elle s'étend depuis la base vers le haut jusqu'à une extrémité supérieure (24). La portion tubulaire comprend un couvercle incliné (26) recouvrant l'extrémité supérieure de ladite partie. Le couvercle (26) est relié à la portion tubulaire par l'intermédiaire d'une ligne de rupture de couvercle (28) qui s'étend autour du périmètre extérieur du couvercle. Un motif nervuré (34) s'étend à travers une portion centrale (36) du couvercle, ce qui permet d'ajouter une résistance et d'améliorer la régularité du plastique au moment de la formation du couvercle.
