Abstract

The invention relates to a cage comprising a disposable structure, of the type consisting of a base, lateral walls, a roof and a floor, to which a straight or uneven front grille is fixed. The invention is characterised in that the structure is produced by folding a die-cut laminar template of disposable and/or recyclable material. The template comprises the base having the following elements extending therefrom, namely: an upper roof-forming projection; a lower floor-forming projection; and successive lateral projections which form the walls of the structure when folded, the end lateral projections being equipped with flanges which are inserted into the base and a separate lower part which is also provided with lower flanges. Moreover, extensions extend from both sides of the floor- and roof-forming projections, which are held in place by folding the two successive projections that form the walls of the structure. The floor comprises four successive front-end extensions, whereby the first two extensions form a baseplate when folded and the remaining two extensions form a fold which defines a feed tub between the second and third extensions. In addition, the ends of the second and fourth extensions are equipped with flanges which are inserted into notches in the floor. The fold between the first and second baseplate-defining extensions internally houses the separate lower parts of the lateral end projections from the base, the flanges thereof being inserted into notches in the base. Furthermore, the feed tub-forming floor extensions are provided with notches for the insertion of flanges belonging to a laminar part containing holes through which birds can pass their heads in order to eat. The successive lateral projections from the base, which form at least one of the walls of the structure, comprise flaps which have been partially die-cut in a corresponding manner and which are disposed in line with notches in the respective lateral extensions of the floor and roof. Some of the bars of the grille are extended such that they can be partially inserted in and/or attached to the walls, roof and/or floor of the structure. Furthermore, the outline of a hole for hanging the cage is die-cut into the base of the structure.

Description

Disposable structure cage. Object of the invention The present invention relates to a cage with a disposable structure, especially suitable for use in ornithological competitions. Background of the invention At present, in ornithological competitions, cages consisting of a closed structure with practicable holes are used for the introduction and extraction of birds, and a front part that incorporates a grille that allows birds to be viewed. Some of these bars have flares to allow birds to stick their heads out to eat in external feeders. It is not without drawbacks. Firstly, once the contest is over, a large number of cages and their external feeders have to be cleaned. On the other hand, the storage of these cages until their next use takes up a lot of space. These drawbacks are overcome by using the cage of the invention.
OF THE INVENTION The cage of the invention has an economic constitution and a disposable structure and that includes an internal feeder, so that it is not necessary to clean the cage or the feeder, but the structure is discarded directly with the integrated feeder, specifying only the storage of the front grille, which is substantially flat, and therefore occupies very little stacked space. According to the invention, the cage comprises a collapsible structure by folding a die-cut sheet template made of disposable and / or recyclable material, such as cardboard, plastic, etc., to which a removable front grille is attached. The structure includes, in its conformation by folding, an internal feeder as well as at least one side cover with two sizes, one smaller for introduction of the birds and another of greater dimensions for the introduction of the hand when it comes to removing the birds. These covers are preferably closed by means of another external cover. The die-cut sheet template comprises a vertical bottom from which emerges an extension that forms the roof of the cage, and from this in turn emerge lateral extensions that are fixed by the defining folds of the structure walls of two consecutive extensions of each side of the bottom, with extreme flanges on the outermost one that interlock in the bottom recesses. Another extension that forms the floor of the cage also emerges from the bottom, which has two lateral extensions that are also fixed by the fold of the two consecutive extensions on each side of the bottom. The floor has four consecutive front extensions, configuring the first two by folding one on top of the other a small plinth, and which, when folded, also fix lower end zones broken down by the most extreme extension of each of the two consecutive bottom sides. , arranging these broken-down end areas with lower flanges that also fit into the ground. The third and fourth consecutive extensions of the four fronts of the floor configure an upper open fold that, in its part adjacent to the plinth, defines a trough with an angular section, and on its opposite part it shows flanges for interlocking in floor recesses. The feeder is covered by another flat laminar portion, with tabs on both sides to interlock laterally in recesses of the second and third consecutive extensions of the ground, this laminar portion incorporating holes for the birds to introduce their heads to eat. In at least one of the walls of the structure, the two consecutive lateral extensions of the bottom that constitute it incorporate partially die-cut lids, an outer one removable with the finger and two inner ones in positional correspondence with the former and with corresponding recesses of the lateral extensions of the ceiling and the floor that are supported between said constitutive extensions of the wall. Of the inner lids of the cage, one of them is smaller to introduce the birds, and another is larger to insert the hand and be able to catch the birds to remove them, preferably the smaller size lid being placed inside or on the inside the larger one so that both are occluded by the outer cover. The grille, on the other hand, is made up of a frame of vertical and horizontal bars, some of which are prolonged so that they partially dig into the structure and the grille remains attached to it. The cage comes packed with the unassembled template and the unassembled grille, taking up minimal and essentially flat space. Once the structure has been assembled and the grate has been fixed, it can be used and, once the use is complete, the entire structure is thrown away, keeping only the grate, obviating the cleanliness and space needs of the structure in its storage. Brief Description of the Drawings Figure 1 shows a view of the cage of the invention. Figure 2 shows a view of the laminar template with which the structure of the cage of the invention is formed. Figures 3 and 4 show respective intermediate steps for assembling the cage structure of the invention. Figure 5 shows a section by NN of Figure 1. Figure 6 shows a VI-NI view of Figure 1. Description of a practical embodiment of the invention The cage 1 of the invention is constituted by a structure 2 formable by folding a die-cut disposable and / or recyclable cardboard template 3, and a grid 4 removably attachable to said structure. The structure comprises, once assembled, a rear bottom 5, side walls 6, roof 7, floor 8, a small front plinth 9 and an interior trough 10. In one of the walls it has a cover 11 for the insertion and extraction of the birds. This cover, which is described in more detail below, is made up of two internal covers of different sizes that allow the separate introduction of the birds or the hand to extract them, and an external cover that covers the previous two. The template, therefore, is made up of the bottom 5, which has an upper extension that forms the ceiling 7, and from which two lateral extensions 7a emerge. The bottom also has a lower extension that constitutes the floor 8, and that has respective lateral extensions 8a. The extensions 7a and 8a are fixed and retained by the folding on themselves of two consecutive extensions

The extensions 6b of have end flanges 12 for engaging in recesses -13 in the bottom 5, as well as a broken down lower part 14, also with lower flanges 15. The bottom has four front extensions 5a, 5b, 5c and 5d. The first two 5a and 5b, when bending over themselves, form the base 9 and fix the broken-down parts 14 of the extensions 6b, the flanges 15 of which engage in recesses 16 in the floor, like other flanges 15a of the extensions 5b.
Por su parte, la reja 4 está constituida por una serie de barrotes verticalesThe other two extensions 5c and 5d configure an open angular fold 17, the trough 10 being defined between the extensions 5b and 5c, the flange of the extension 5d incorporating flanges 18 to interlock in recesses 19 in the floor 8. In extensions 5b and 5c recesses 20 are also made where the tabs 21 of a laminar piece 22 are inserted with holes 23 where the birds introduce the head to eat. The two consecutive lateral extensions 6a and 6b of one of the bottom defining sides of one of the walls 6 incorporate the cover 11, actually consisting of two partially punched circular covers 24 and 25. leaving a joint area 26 without punching as a hinge. Cover 24 of the extension 6 is on the outside and includes a recess 27 to actuate opening outwardly through the finger. The lid 25 of the extension 6b remains inside the cage and contains another smaller lid 28 also partially punched. Both covers open towards the interior of the cage, the smallest 28 to introduce the birds, and the largest 25 to enter the hand and take out the birds. The covers 24 and 25 face each other when the extensions 6a and 6b fold over themselves, and in correspondence with recesses 29 of the extensions 7a and 8a of the roof and floor of the structure. For its part, gate 4 is made up of a series of vertical bars
30 and horizontals 31, the horizontals 31 being prolonged to be nailed to the lateral extensions 6b of the bottom, thus leaving the grille fixed. The grating has two straight sections joined by another inclined section that fit into corresponding sections of the side walls 6 defined by respective broken contours 32 of the extensions that define them. The bottom, meanwhile, incorporates a die-cut 33 with a hole for hanging. Once the nature of the invention has been sufficiently described, as well as the way of carrying it out in practice, it should be noted that the provisions previously indicated and represented in the attached drawings are subject to detailed modifications as long as they do not alter the fundamental principle.
