Such halogen lamp has a low brightness as well as generating a lot of heat, and has disadvantages such as the short life span, and every vehicle has a different base form, so that it is incompatible with other vehicles. Accordingly, using an electric-discharge lamp having high brightness as well as a long durability is a trend on a luxury vehicle basis. Due to such advantages, it is on the increase that a halogen lamp used in the existing vehicles is changed to a high brightness electric-discharge lamp lately. As shown in Figure 1, to replace a halogen lamp with an electric-discharge lamp, a base 20 of electric-discharge lamp is formed with a flange 40 in one united body, so that the electric-discharge lamp has to be prepared with different shape according to various kinds of vehicles to fit in the base of an existing halogen lamp. The above work is very complicated, and the compatibility of products is bad. Also, the above electric-discharge bulb 10 is fixed to a base 20 by using a resin or a metal supporter in an inserted state to the upper central portion of the base 20. Since the angle of reflected light in a lamp housing 1 is different each other when the distance from the base 20 to the light center 11 of the bulb 10 is not accorded, the bulb 20 should be fixed by adjusting the distance from the base 20 to the light center 11 of the bulb 10 in everything, and then dried and hardened in an oven. That is a quite troublesome job. Also, once a bulb 10 is fixed on a base 20, it is impossible to adjust the position thereof. Therefore, there is difficulty to adjust the central angle of light or the angle of irradiation whenever necessary, and also when occurring a problem in the bulb 10, the whole electric- discharge lamp should be changed. From the forgoing reasons, the cost of maintenance is increased. Besides the above described problems, in case the bulb 10 is fixed in the base 20 by using a thermosetting resin, the resin is evaporated due to the heat of bulb 10, whereby a lamp housing 1 is polluted, which causes the decrease of the transmission rate of light. And in case the bulb 10 is fixed with the metal supporter, the bulb 10 can be damaged by the thermal expansion between the metal and the bulb 10 due to turning on-off the lamp for a. long term.
Disclosure of Invention The present invention is provided to solve the problems of conventional technology as described above. An object of the present invention is to provide an electric-discharge lamp for vehicle, which can curtail the cost of maintenance by recycling a base of lamp even though the bulb is damaged, and be simply assembled by adjusting the distance from the base to the center of light, and of which the brightness is not lowered, and which is not damaged when using a long term, and which has compatibility to the different vehicles. In an electric-discharge lamp that is detachably installed to a through-hole 3 of a conventional lamp housing 1 by a flange 40 formed around the bulb, the improvement is characterized by comprising at least a pair of divisibly formed base 20 which is divided with the socket member 22 as the central figure, wherein the socket member 22 is formed in one side of a bulb 10; a bulb 10 which is inserted in the socket member 22 of the base 20 divided; and a fixing ring 30 which is disposed at one side of the circumference of the base 20 to combine the divided bases 20 to be one body. The flange 40 is divisibly formed co be separated from the base 20, and in the center thereof, an opening portion 41 opened to the one side is formed, and the flange 40 is assembled to the circumference of the base 20 through the opening portion 41, and a guide groove 43 and a guide protrusion 23 are formed, whereby the guide groove 43 is assembled to the guide protrusion 23. The base 20 is molded by compressing and sintering a ceramic .
Brief Description of Drawings Further objects and advantages of the invention can be more fully understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 is a perspective view of a conventional electric-discharge lamp for vehicle; Figure 2 is a perspective view showing a disassembled electric-discharge lamp for vehicle according to the present invention; and Figure 3 is a sectional view showing an assembled state of Figure 2.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail referring to the following examples. However, the examples according to the present invention can be modified in other forms, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the following examples.
Figures 2 is a perspective view showing a disassembled electric-discharge lamp for vehicle according to the present invention, and Figure 3 is a sectional view showing an assembled state of the electric-discharge lamp for vehicle according to the present invention. In view of these figures, an electric-discharge lamp of the present invention is prepared by the steps comprised of divisibly forming a base 20 having a main base 21 and an auxiliary base 26, which are divided on either side of the socket member 22 as the central figure; and assembling the main base 21 and the auxiliary base 26 by putting a bulb 10 in the socket member 22 of the divided base 20, thereafter putting a fixing ring 30 in the circumference thereof, whereby the divided base 20 is fabricated in one body by the elasticity of the fixing ring 30. Also, a flange 40 assembled to a through-hole 3 of a lamp housing 1 is detachably assembled on the circumference of the base 20 of lamp, and if only flange 40 is molded to fit into the through-hole 3 even though kind of vehicle is different, the base 20 and the bulb 10 can be used compatibly. The base 20 is divisibly formed to have a main base 21 and an auxiliary base 26, which are divided on either side of the socket member 22 as the central figure, and the auxiliary 26 is formed in a incised state of one side of the upper end portion of the whole base 20, and the main base 21 is formed in the other side of the upper portion, whereby the auxiliary base 26 and the main base 21 are assembled each other, and then a base 20 having one block shape is formed. Also, a pair of electric wires inserting-holes 25 is formed in the center and one side of the base 20. The electric wires inserting-holes 25 are separated with a prescribed interval, and perforated from top to bottom. In the upper part, a socket member 22 is protruded to connect with the central electric wire inserting-hole 25. It is preferable that the base 20 is molded by compressing and sintering a ceramic, not to have a short. A combining groove 22a is formed in the circumference of the socket member 22. The basis of a bulb 10 is inserted in a socket member 20 of one of divided base 20, thereafter the other divided base 20 is assembled, and a fixing ring 30 is put to the circumference of the socket member 22. Therefore, a pair of divided base 20 is tightened and fixed by the elasticity of the fixing ring 30. Also, a pair of connecting- erminal 12 is welded and connected to an electric wire 50, which is inserted through an electric wire inserting-hole 25 of base 20. The fixing ring 30 is an elasticity ring having C- type, which is opened to one side. The fixing ring 30 is assembled to the circumference of a socket member 22 of a base 20, whereby fixing a main base 21 and an auxiliary base 26 as one block shape. The auxiliary base 26 is incised to make the inside of the lower end be longer than the outside of the lower end to give a slope. The lower end of the auxiliary base 26 is strongly fixed in an incising member 24 of the main base 21 by inclined-incised members 24a, 26a. The flange 40, which can be separated from a base 20, is detachably assembled to a through-hole 3 of a lamp housing 1. An opening portion 41, which is opened to one side, is formed in the center of the flange 40. The flange 40 can be inserted and assembled to the circumference of the base through the opening portion 41. A guide groove 43 is formed in the inside of the opening portion 41 of the flange 40, and a guide protrusion 23 is formed in the circumference of the base 20, whereby strongly fixing the flange 40 by combining the guide groove 43 and the guide protrusion 23, not to be separated from the base 20. According to the present invention as described above, a pair of electric wires 50 is passed through an electric wire inserting hole 25 of a base 20, and the end portion thereof is peeled, thereafter the electric wire 50 is welded and connected to a connecting-terminal 12 of a bulb 10. And the lower part of the bulb 10 is inserted into the inside of a socket member 22 of a pair of divided bases 20, thereafter the divided bases 20 are assembled each other, and then a fixing ring 30 is put to the circumference of the socket member 22 of the base 20. The bulb 10, inserted in the socket member 22, is strongly fixed by the elasticity of the fixing ring 30. Subsequently, a flange 40 opened to one side is put to the circumference of the base 20, and then an electric discharge lamp is assembled. Accordingly, if a bulb 10 is inserted into a divided base 20, and then the base 20 is tightened with a fixing ring 30 to be one body, the bulb 10 can be simply assembled at a certain place. Therefore, a distance (S) from a base 20 to the center 11 of light of bulb 10 as well as the center of the base 20 and the bulb 10 is easily adjusted, so that productivity can be remarkably improved. Also, after fixing a bulb 10 in a base 20, whenever necessary, a fixing ring 30 can be dissembled, thereafter adjusting the position of the bulb 10, so that a distance (S) from the base 20 to the center 11 of light can be adjusted easily. And the electric-discharge lamp is fixed by a base 20, which is prepared by compressing and sintering a ceramic and the like, so that the damage of a bulb 10 caused by the thermal expansion difference between the bulb 10 and the base 20 can be prevented. And also, a lamp housing 1 is prevented from a pollution caused by a vapor generated from the base 20 due to the heat of the bulb 10. Also, in case of different vehicles, if only flange 40 is formed to fit a through-hole 3 of a lamp housing 1, a base 20 and a bulb 10, which are assembled to the flange 40, can be used irrelevantly to the shape of the through-hole 3 of the lamp housing 1. Therefore, the cost of production is remarkably reduced. And also, in case of having a problem in a bulb 10, a fixing ring 30 is dissembled and then a bulb 10 can be changed. Therefore, it is an advantage that the cost for maintenance is remarkably decreased. Industrial Applicability An electric discharge lamp for vehicle according the present invention has advantages that if a bulb 10 is inserted into a divided base 20, and then the base 20 is tightened with a fixing ring 30, the bulb 10 can be simply assembled at a certain place. Therefore, productivity can be remarkably improved. Also, the electric discharge lamp has another advantage that if only flange 40 is formed to fit a through-hole 3 of a lamp housing 1, a base 20 and a bulb 10 can be used irrelevantly to kind of cars. And in case of having a problem in a bulb 10, it is possible to change only bulb 10. Therefore, it is an advantage that the cost for maintenance and production is remarkably decreased. Also, the electric-discharge lamp can prevent the damage of a bulb 10, which is caused by the thermal expansion difference between the bulb 10 and the base 20 when using for a long term. And also, the pollution of a lamp housing 1 can be reduced because a vapor due to the heat of the bulb 10 is not generated from the base 20.
