La présente invention concerne un implant à placer entre des corps vertébraux de la colonne cervicale. Un trou borgne (4) est ménagé dans une première plaque d'implant (2) conçue pour être placée sur un corps vertébral et une saillie (5) à insérer dans ledit trou borgne est ménagée sur une seconde plaque d'implant (3) conçue pour être placée sur l'autre corps vertébral. Une des deux surfaces de base du fond du trou borgne (6) et de l'extrémité de la saillie (7), conçues pour venir en contact l'une avec l'autre, est courbée de manière convexe et l'autre est de conception plane.
