Abstract

The fastener, particularly for a connecting bracket of a skirting board, with outside corner elements, with the sheathing corresponding with the shape of the skirting board and ribs with oblique slots and catches for fastening to the connecting bracket, characteristic in that it has a form of a plate with the narrowing /7/ and protrusions /5/, and the connecting bracket has the openings to detachably house the protrusions /5/, preferably with a circular profile, wherein the distance between the protrusions and distances of the openings from edges of the connecting brackets are so determined that after installation the connecting brackets are in contact with each other at the wall edge.

Description

Fastener, particularly for a connecting bracket of a skirting board
The subject of the invention is a fastener, particularly for a connecting bracket of a skirting board covering an expansion gap between the floor and wall of a room, with finishing elements. The Patent Application No. P-349653 describes a skirting board with inside and outside corner elements and elements covering the contact surface of skirting boards which have a sheathing corresponding to the shape of the skirting board and ribs with oblique slots and catches for fastening to the connecting bracket. This solution assumes that the outside corner element is fastened on two connecting brackets of the skirting board fastened with rawlplugs to the outside wall corner. Due to the fact that the connecting brackets must be fastened close to the vertical wall edge, rawlplugs cross with each other and may damage the wall edge. When the connecting brackets are fastened in a greater distance from the wall edge, the corner element is fastened to one connecting bracket only and such fastening is not reliable. In other known solutions corner elements have protrusions which are inserted into slots of skirting boards to provide fastening. The essential portion of the solution covered by the invention consists in that the fastener has a form of a plate with a narrowing and has protrusions, preferably with a circular profile, which detachably cooperate with openings of the connecting bracket of the skirting board. The distance between protrusions and distances between the openings and edges of the connecting brackets are so determined that after installation connecting brackets touch each other at the wall edge. Another advantage is that the protrusions of the fastener have a form of a sheathing and have collars which prevent the fastener to disconnect from the connecting bracket. The connecting brackets, in proximity of the openings, from the wall side, have slots with a rectangular profile and with a depth equal to the thickness of the fastener. The slots make the fastener, despite its being rather thin, form a single surface with the connecting bracket and fits closely to the wall together with it. The solution covered by the invention allows for reliable fastening of the outside corner elements on two connecting brackets, when only one of them is fastened to the wall. In addition, the free opening located at the side further from the wall edge may be used to fasten the connecting bracket to the wall. It additionally reduces the risk of damaging the wall edge. The subject of the invention is presented in a sample execution in the drawings, Fig. 1 presents a fragment of the wall edge with connecting brackets fastened with the fastener and the removed corner element, Fig. 2 presents the fastener in an axonometric projection, Fig. 3 presents an intersection through fasteners placed at a right angle with the fastener, and Fig. 4 presents the "A" detail from Fig. 3. The fastener 1, in a form of a plate, keeps two connecting brackets in place at the outside wall corner. The outside finishing corner element 3 of the skirting board 4 is seated on the connecting brackets. The fastener has two cylindrical protrusions 5 in a form of the sheathing which detachably cooperate with the openings 6 of neighbouring connecting brackets at the wall edge. The fastener has also the narrowing 7, which facilitates its bending at the wall edge. The distance between protrusions and distances between the openings 6 from edges of the connecting brackets 2 are so determined that after installation the connecting brackets touch each other at the wall edge. The fasteners 2 have slots 8 with a rectangular profile and with a depth equal to the thickness of the fastener. The slots make the fastener, despite its being rather thin, form a single surface with the connecting bracket and fits closely to the wall together with it. The collars 9 of the protrusion 5 prevent the fastener to disconnect from the connecting bracket too easily and when they are snapped a characteristic click is audible.
