AMENDED CLAIMS [received by the International Bureau on 23 March 2005 (23.03.2005); original claims 1 and 8 amended, remaining claims unchanged] CLAIMS
1. (amended) A cover installed on a horizontal surface and having a stepwise opening structure, the cover including a covering frame constructed in the shape of a plate to cover a gully hole, a drainage hole, a drainage way, etc. and defined with a plurality of drain openings through which rainwater, etc. are discharged, and a plurality of leverage valves rotatably installed in the drain openings to open the drain openings by the application of an external force, each leverage valve comprising: a valve body for opening and closing the drain opening; a weight bar having a greater weight than the valve body and rotatably coupled to the valve body to allow the valve body to normally close the drain opening; and an elastic member connected to the valve body and the weight bar to support the valve body so that, until the weight bar is contacted to the cover, the valve body can be rotated with the weight bar to be proportional to the external force, and when an external force of greater than the predetermined value contacting the cover is applied to the valve body, the valve body can be further rotated with respect to the weight bar.
2. The cover according to claim 1 , wherein the valve body is formed with a projecting wall to be engaged in the drain opening.
3. The cover according to claims 1 or 2, wherein an accommodating piece which has a downward inclination angle toward the weight bar is installed on a lower surface of the valve body, and a weight ball is accommodated in the accommodating piece.
4. The cover according to claims 1 or 2, wherein an accommodating piece 23 which has a downward inclination angle toward the weight bar is installed on a lower surface of he valve body, and fluid is accommodated in the accommodating piece.
5. The cover according to claims 1 or 2, wherein an optical catalytic layer is coated on a surface of the covering frame.
6. The cover according to claims 1 or 2, wherein an optical catalytic layer is coated on a surface ofthe leverage valve.
7. The cover according to claim 2, wherein the projecting wall of the valve body is formed with a through-hole for communicating the outside and the inside ofthe projecting wall with each other, and a waste introduction preventing part is formed around the through-hole to prevent introduction of waste through the through-hole.
8. (amended) A cover installed on an inclined surface and having a stepwise opening structure, the cover including a covering frame constructed to cover a gully hole, a drainage hole, a drainage way, etc. and formed in a lengthwise direction thereof with a plurality of inclined sections at a uniform interval and a plurality of connecting sections which connect the inclined sections and are respectively defined with a plurality of drain openings for allowing discharge of rainwater, etc., and a plurality of leverage valves rotatably installed in the drain openings to open the drain openings by the application of an external force, each leverage valve comprising: a valve body for opening and closing the drain opening; a weight bar rotatably coupled to the valve body to allow the valve body to normally close the drain opening; and an elastic member connected to the valve body and the weight bar to support the valve body so that, until the weight bar is contacted to the cover, the valve body can be rotated with the weight bar to be proportional to the extemal force, and when an external force of greater than the predetemnined value contacting the cover is applied to the valve body, the valve body can be further rotated with respect to the weight bar.
9. The cover according to claim 8, wherein the valve body is formed with a projecting wall to be engaged in the drain opening.
10. The cover according to claims 8 or 9, wherein an optical catalytic layer is coated on a surface of the covering frame.
11. The cover according to claims 8 or 9, wherein an optical catalytic layer is coated on a surface ofthe leverage valve.
12. The cover according to claim 9, wherein the projecting wall of the valve body is formed with a through-hole for communicating the outside and the inside of the projecting wall with each other, and a waste introduction preventing part is formed around the through-hole to prevent introduction of waste through the through-hole.
