Abstract

 還元剤を還元触媒の上流側に供給する噴射ノズルの目詰まりを防止してNOxの浄化処理の効率を向上する。  排気管13内にて排気の流れ方向Aと略平行に下流側に向けて延びる噴射ノズル14の先端部(18)の排気下流側端部の外周面に設けられたリング状の突条部分19に、該噴射ノズル14の軸心から外方に向けて穿設された噴射孔20を設け、この噴射孔20により還元剤を還元触媒の排気上流側に噴出する。この場合、上記噴射孔20は、先端部(18)の外周面に設けられたリング状の突条部分19に形成されており、噴射ノズル14の広い外周面上に直接開口していないので、噴射が終了した際に還元剤が噴射孔20周辺の狭い領域に付着して残留することがないか、又は残留量が少なくなる。このことから、噴射ノズル14の噴射孔20が目詰まりするのを防止してNOxの浄化処理の効率を向上することができる。
