Abstract

The invention concerns a variable geometry support mobile between folded and extended positions wherein the upper (70) and lower (72) ends of the support are brought together and spaced apart, respectively, comprising at least one articulated parallelogram structure (30b; 30i; 30h) including opposite upper (32b; 32i; 32h) and lower (34b; 34i; 34h) toggle joints, brought together in said folded position and spaced apart in said extended position, and opposite left (36b; 36i; 36h) and right (38b; 38i; 38h) toggle joints, spaced apart in said folded position and brought together in said extended position. The inventive support is characterized in that it comprises extending means (74b; 74i; 74h) constantly tending to bring together the left (36b; 36i; 36h) and right (38b; 38i; 38h) toggle joints.

Description

Selon d'autres caractéristiques préférentielles de l'invention,The invention relates to a variable geometry support movable between folded and unfolded positions in which the upper and lower ends of said support are brought closer and apart, respectively, comprising at least one articulated parallelogram structure comprising opposite upper and lower knee pads, close together in said folded position and spread apart in said unfolded position, and opposite left and right knee pads, spread apart in said folded position and close together in said unfolded position. The invention also relates to the use of such a support, in particular for an information presentation device. Conventionally, as described in the patent application in France N ° 01/03170 filed on March 8, 2001 by the Applicant, an information presentation device comprises a sheet capable of carrying information, a hollow drum for winding this sheet mounted for rotation about its longitudinal axis on a base, and means for automatically winding the ply around this drum. Such a device makes it possible to wrap around the drum a flexible tablecloth of large dimensions on which are, for example, fixed or printed images, to be easily transported, without creasing it, in a living room or an exhibition, then to unroll it to present these images. Conventionally, the unwound tablecloth is stretched between the drum to which its lower edge is fixed, and an upper fixing point of a support, for example a hook disposed in the upper part of a bracket, to which the upper edge of the tablecloth is attached . Generally, the bracket is in the form of a telescopic mast or is formed by assembling a plurality of elements which fit together. The mounting of these brackets is often complex and long, especially if the number of elements to be assembled is high. The object of the present invention is to provide a new type of support, capable of replacing the brackets according to the prior art, but easy and quick to assemble. This object is achieved by means of a support with variable geometry movable between folded and unfolded positions in which the upper and lower ends of said support are brought closer and apart, respectively, comprising at least one articulated parallelogram structure comprising knee pads upper and lower opposite, close together in said folded position and separated in said unfolded position, and opposite left and right knee pads, separated in said folded position and brought together in said unfolded position. According to the invention, this support is remarkable in that it comprises unfolding means tending to permanently bring said left and right knee pads closer. As will be seen in more detail in the following description, the action of bringing the left and right knee bridges together by the unfolding means advantageously allows the parallelogram structure to unfold to the unfolded position in a simple and rapid manner . According to other preferred characteristics of the invention,
- lesdits moyens de dépliement comportent un élastique qui, avantageusement ne rouille pas, est bon marché, et évite tout risque de pincement ;- Said unfolding means comprise an elastic which, advantageously does not rust, is inexpensive, and avoids any risk of pinching;
- lesdits moyens de dépliement sont fixés sur des axes desdites genouillères gauche et droite, ce qui, avantageusement, optimise l'efficacité de leur action ;- Said unfolding means are fixed on axes of said left and right knee pads, which advantageously optimizes the effectiveness of their action;
- ledit support comporte un élastique formant une boucle fermée enroulée autour desdits axes desdites genouillères gauche et droite, ce qui, avantageusement, simplifie le montage et donc limite les coûts de fabrication ;- Said support comprises an elastic forming a closed loop wrapped around said axes of said left and right knee pads, which advantageously simplifies assembly and therefore limits manufacturing costs;
- ledit support comporte des moyens de repliement tendant à rapprocher en permanence lesdites genouillères supérieure et inférieure, ce qui, avantageusement, limite l'effort de l'utilisateur pour opérer le repliement du support ;- Said support comprises folding means tending to permanently bring said upper and lower knee pads, which, advantageously, limits the effort of the user to operate the folding of the support;
- lesdits moyens de repliement sont conformés pour compenser l'action desdits moyens de dépliement, de manière que ledit support, par exemple lorsqu'il est disposé de manière à s'étendre sensiblement selon un plan vertical, soit en équilibre statique, ce qui, avantageusement, permet de positionner simplement le support sensiblement dans n'importe quelle position intermédiaire entre les positions dépliée et repliée ;- said folding means are shaped to compensate for the action of said unfolding means, so that said support, for example when it is arranged so as to extend substantially in a vertical plane, is in static equilibrium, which, advantageously, allows the support to be positioned simply in substantially any intermediate position between the unfolded and folded positions;
- ledit support comporte des moyens de blocage dans ladite position dépliée, s'enclenchant d'eux-mêmes quand ledit support atteint ladite position dépliée, ce qui, avantageusement, permet une détection automatique, c'est-à-dire sans intervention volontaire de l'utilisateur à cet effet spécifique, de la position dépliée, et un blocage automatique dans cette position ;- Said support includes locking means in said unfolded position, engaging themselves when said support reaches said unfolded position, which advantageously allows automatic detection, that is to say without voluntary intervention by the user for this specific purpose, from the unfolded position, and an automatic blocking in this position;
- ladite genouillère supérieure comporte deux branches articulées autour d'un axe de genouillère supérieure et se prolongeant de l'autre côté dudit axe de genouillère supérieure pour former deux branches d'une genouillère inférieure d'une autre structure en parallélogramme, ce qui, avantageusement, permet de coupler plusieurs structures en parallélogramme l'une au-dessus de l'autre de manière à augmenter la hauteur maximale du support dans la position dépliée, sans augmenter sa longueur L dans la position repliée ;- Said upper toggle joint comprises two branches articulated around an axis of upper knee joint and extending on the other side of said axis of upper knee joint to form two branches of a lower knee joint of another structure in parallelogram, which, advantageously , allows to couple several structures in parallelogram one above the other so as to increase the maximum height of the support in the unfolded position, without increasing its length L in the folded position;
- lesdits moyens de repliement comportent au moins un tambour monté à rotation axiale autour d'un axe d'enroulement sur une embase dudit support, une nappe fixée d'une part sur ledit tambour et d'autre part sur ladite extrémité supérieure dudit support, et des moyens élastiques d'enroulement de ladite nappe autour dudit tambour ;said folding means comprise at least one drum mounted for axial rotation about a winding axis on a base of said support, a ply fixed on the one hand to said drum and on the other hand to said upper end of said support, and elastic means for winding said ply around said drum;
- ledit support comporte des moyens de cliquet comprenant un levier solidaire de ladite embase et en appui éfastique permanent sur une surface d'enroulement dudit tambour, ladite surface d'enroulement comportant un logement ou une saillie dans lequel ledit levier peut s'encliqueter ;- Said support comprises ratchet means comprising a lever integral with said base and in permanent elastic support on a winding surface of said drum, said winding surface comprising a housing or a projection in which said lever can snap;
- ladite nappe est fixée sur ledit tambour de manière à recouvrir ledit logement ou ladite saillie tant que ledit support n'a pas atteint une position dans laquelle ladite nappe est sensiblement complètement déroulée, ce qui, avantageusement, permet au levier de ne pouvoir s'encliqueter dans le logement ou la saillie que lorsque la nappe est complètement déroulée ;- Said ply is fixed on said drum so as to cover said housing or said projection as long as said support has not reached a position in which said ply is substantially completely unwound, which advantageously allows the lever to be unable to snap into the housing or the projection only when the tablecloth is completely unwound;
- ledit support comporte un coffre recevant ladite structure dans ladite position repliée, ce qui avantageusement permet de ranger le support afin de faciliter sa manipulation et son transport ;- Said support comprises a box receiving said structure in said folded position, which advantageously makes it possible to store the support in order to facilitate its handling and transport;
Said parallelogram structure is a diamond structure. The invention also relates to the use of a support according to the invention in an information presentation device, a blind, or an awning. De préférence, la baguette supérieure 11 comporte un bourrelet longitudinal- Figure 10 shows a perspective view of another information presentation device incorporating a support according to the invention in an unfolded position. Identical references are used in the various figures to designate identical or analogous members. The description below of the drawings assumes that the presentation device according to the invention is placed flat on a horizontal plane, in a position allowing the vertical unwinding and winding of the sheet. Of course, the presentation device could also be arranged so that the sheet takes place in other directions, in particular under the trunk or, in particular in the case where the trunk would be arranged vertically, parallel to the ground. Referring now to Figures 1 to 5. A presentation device 1 comprises a flexible sheet 3, for example rectangular, (see Figure 5), for example of plastic, on which can be printed or fixed images or information , a drum 5 for winding the ply 3, hollow and rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis, or winding axis T, in a protective box 6, winding means, not shown, being arranged at the 'interior of the drum 5. For the sake of clarity of the figures, the sheet 3 is only shown in Figure 5, partially. Preferably, one or more feet 7 are fixed on the trunk 6 to ensure the stability of the presentation device 1 on the ground. The lower edge of the ply 3 is preferably directly fixed, preferably removably, on a first edge of a flexible primer not shown, for example by means of a VELCRO® type fixing, of a zipper or glue. A second edge of the primer, opposite the first edge, is fixed on a winding surface 14 of the drum 5, that is to say on the outer surface, substantially cylindrical, of the drum 5 on which the ply 3 and the primer can be wound. The primer is unrollable so that its first edge can extend outside the trunk 6 when it is fully unrolled. An upper edge 9 of the sheet 3, opposite the lower edge, is preferably fixed to an upper strip 11. The upper strip 11 is preferably removably mounted on a reinforcing bar 12. Preferably, the upper strip 11 has a bead longitudinal
15 split longitudinally and shouldered so as to be able to engage elastically in a complementary longitudinal groove 16 formed in the reinforcement bar 12 in order to ensure both the front mounting of the upper strip 11 and its retention relative to the bar reinforcement 12. The elongated protective box 6 is split with a longitudinal opening 17, opening out substantially vertically, through which the sheet 3 and a support 20 according to the invention can be deployed. Preferably, the trunk 6 comprises a rear flange, not shown to leave the interior of the trunk visible, arranged so that, in the unfolded position of the support 20, only the opening 17 allows access to the interior of the trunk 6. Preferably, the trunk 6 is closed by lateral flanges 21. The reinforcing bar 12 is shaped so that, in the folded position, bear on an edge 22 of the opening 17 so that it cannot penetrate the inside the trunk 6 under the effect of the winding means arranged inside the drum 5. Preferably, the reinforcing bar 12 is also shaped so as to close, in the folded position of the support (see FIG. 7) , the opening 17. In the folded position of the support, the sheet 3 is completely wound around the drum 5, the box 6 enclosing and protecting the sheet 3 and the support 20. The support 20 includes first, second and third diamond structures, or "diamonds", called high structures 30h, intermediate 30i, and low 30b, respectively, similar, superimposed, and able to extend in a substantially vertical plane V. In the following description, the indices h, i and b are used to designate members belonging to the diamonds high 30h, intermediate 30i and low 30b, respectively. A diamond structure 30h, 30i and 30b has upper knee pads 32h, 32i and 32b and lower 34h, 34i and 34b and left knee pads 36h, 36i and 36b and right 38h, 38i and 38b, respectively. A diamond structure comprises first 40h, 40i and 40b and second 42h, 42i and 42b upper branches and first 44h, 44i and 44b and second 46h, 46i and 46b lower branches. The first and second upper branches of a rhombus are rotatably mounted on one another to form the upper toggle joint 32h, 32i and 32b. The first and second lower branches of a rhombus are rotatably mounted on one another to form the lower toggle 34h, 34i and 34b. The first upper and lower branches are rotatably mounted one on the other to form the left knee brace 36h, 36i and 36b. Finally, the second upper and lower branches are rotatably mounted one on the other to form the right toggle 38h, 38i and 38b. Axes 52h, 52i, 52b, 54h, 54i, 54b, 56h, 56i, 56b, 58h, 58i and 58b knee pads 32h, 32i, 32b, 34h, 34i, 34b, 36h, 36i, 36b, 38h, 38i and 38b are parallel and substantially perpendicular to the vertical plane V of deployment of the support 20. The axis 54b of the lower toggle 34b of the bottom diamond 30b is fixed to a base 60 of the trunk 6 (see FIG. 6). The axis 52h of the upper toggle joint 32h of the high rhombus 30h is fixed on the reinforcement bar 12 (see FIG. 5). To form on the one hand the lower toggle 34h of the upper diamond 30h and the upper toggle 32i of the intermediate diamond 30i, two bars 62 and 64 are rotatably mounted one on the other along the axis 52i passing substantially in their middle , thus forming a high articulated cross, the first bar 62 defining the first lower branch 44h of the high rhombus 30h and the second upper branch 42i of the intermediate rhombus 30i, the second bar 64 defining the second lower branch 46h of the high rhombus 30h and the first plugged upper 40i of the intermediate diamond 30i. Thus, the axis 54h of the lower toggle 34h of the upper diamond 30h is it coincident with the axis 52i of the upper toggle 32i of the intermediate diamond 30i. Similarly, to form on the one hand the lower toggle 34i of the intermediate diamond 30i and the upper toggle 32b of the lower diamond 30b, two bars 66 and 68 are rotatably mounted one on the other along the axis 52b passing substantially in the middle, thus forming a low articulated cross, the first bar 66 defining the first lower branch 44i of the intermediate rhombus 30i and the second upper branch 42b of the low rhombus 30b, the second bar 68 defining the second lower branch 46i of the intermediate rhombus 30i and the first upper branch 40b of the bottom diamond 30b. Thus, the axis 54i of the lower toggle 34i of the intermediate diamond 30i is coincident with the axis 52b of the upper toggle 32b of the bottom diamond 30b. The structure described above therefore forms an articulated trellis capable of deploying in a plane, from a folded position in which the trellis is stored in the trunk 6 (Figures 1 and 2) to an unfolded position. Advantageously, the diamond structure allows a spacing or a bringing together in translation of the upper 70 and lower 72 ends of the support 20 relative to one another when the geometry of the support 20 according to the invention is modified. According to the invention, an elastic 74h, 74i and 74b, is stretched between the axes of the left and right knee pads, 36h and 38h, 36i and 38i, and 36b and 38b, diamonds 30h, 30i and 30b, respectively, thus tending to bring the left and right knee pads closer to the diamonds 30h, 30i and 30b, and therefore to deploy the support 20. Preferably, the length of the elastic is determined so that, whatever the position of the support 20 between the folded and unfolded positions , the consequences of the elongation of the elastic are never irreversible. The unfolding means tending to bring the left and right knee pads permanently closer are not limited to elastic bands. For example, springs or cylinders could also be used. Advantageously, the use of an elastic 74h, 74i and 74b is inexpensive and safe. Unlike a spring, an elastic prevents any risk of pinching, does not rust, and is easy to install. In addition, an elastic band is advantageously more reliable, any seizure being excluded, and less costly than a jack. To facilitate the installation of the elastic, preferably the elastic 74h, 74i and 74b is formed in a closed loop, and wound as shown in Figure 5, around the axes of the left and right knee pads. A second elastic 76, shown hatched in FIG. 5, can be stretched parallel to the elastic 74h, 74i and 74b between the axes of the left and right knee pads, 36h and 38h, 36i and 38i, and 36b and 38b, diamonds 30h , 30i and 30b, respectively, on the other side of the plane V of deployment of the support 20. The action of the elastic bands, tending to unfold the support 20, is counteracted by the action of the winding means of the sheet 3 on the drum 5. Preferably, the tension of the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b, the friction of the different bars of the support 20 between them at their joints, and the force exerted by the winding means on the ply 3, are determined , by a person skilled in the art, so as to obtain a static balance of the ply 3 in a wide range of positions between the folded position and the unfolded position. Preferably, the range of equilibrium positions includes all the positions entered at a low limit corresponding to a minimum unfolding of the support, for example after unfolding of about fifty centimeters of the sheet 3, and the unfolded position. Compensation between the forces exerted on the ply 3 by the winding means on the one hand and by the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b on the other hand peπnet effortless positioning of the ply 3 in any position of the range of the equilibrium positions of the support 20. Advantageously, in the range of the equilibrium positions of the support 20, the ply 3 therefore remains in position as soon as the user ceases to exert an effort tending to unroll it or to wrap. It is thus possible to expose a variable length of the sheet 3 without additional locking means. Preferably, the information presentation device however includes means, not shown, for blocking in the unfolded position of the support 20. Advantageously, the unfolded position is thus stable and is not likely to be modified for example by an inappropriate action. of a user tending to wind the ply 3. Preferably, the locking means are automatic, that is to say that they engage themselves when the support 20 reaches the unfolded position. In addition, as shown in FIGS. 7 to 9, the information presentation device preferably comprises a lever 80 rotatably mounted on the base 60 along an axis P parallel to the axis T of the drum 5, and means elastic, for example a spring 82, symbolized in FIG. 9, tending to push in the direction F (see FIG. 9) a bearing part 84 of the lever 80 on the winding surface 14 of the drum 5. On the surface d winding 14, outside the drum 5, a housing 86, or a projection, is provided at least opposite the support part 84 of the lever 80, so that the support part 84 can snap into the housing 86 under the action of the spring 82. Preferably, the housing 86 is shaped so that after engagement of the support part 84, the rotation of the drum 5 about its axis T is only blocked in the direction of the winding E (see figure 7). The spring 82, the lever 80, and the housing 86 thus constitute ratchet means. Preferably, the housing 86 is arranged so as to be covered by the primer and / or the ply 3 when the latter are, at least in part, wound on the drum 5. Preferably, the lever 80 comprises, on the opposite side at its axis of rotation P relative to the support part 84, a control part 88 by which a user can disengage the support part 84 from the housing 86. The operation of the information presentation device is as follows . In a stored position of the information presentation device, as shown in FIG. 7, the support 20 is in the folded position, stored in the trunk 6, the diamonds 30h, 30i and 30b of the structure being folded back on themselves so that their upper and lower knee pads are adjacent to each other and their right and left knee pads are spaced from each other. The ply 3 is also in the trunk 6, completely wound around the drum 5. The reinforcing bar 12 substantially seals the entire opening 17. In this position, the trunk and the reinforcing bar 12 therefore define a substantially closed housing. To unfold the support 20 according to the invention, the user, after placing the trunk 6 on the ground and possibly deploying the feet 7, pulls substantially vertically on the reinforcement bar 12. The action of the user is favored by the action of the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b, and counteracted by the action of the winding means of the drum 5. The action of the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b being substantially equal and opposite to that of the winding means, l the user advantageously encounters no difficulty in lifting the reinforcement bar 12. During unfolding, the upper 70 and lower 72 ends move away from one another, while remaining aligned in the vertical. The left and right knee pads of each diamond are close to each other. Elastics 74h, 74i and 74b relax. After crossing the lower limit of the range of equilibrium positions, the reinforcement bar 12 remains in equilibrium after the user has released it. Thus, in the range of equilibrium positions, the unfolding can be stopped at any time in a partially unfolded or “intermediate” position or can be continued until the unfolded position of the support 20. The unfolded position can be defined by the end of the unwinding of the ply 3, the fixing of the ply 3 on the drum 5 then preventing any further separation of (a reinforcing bar 12 relative to the drum 5. The unfolded position can still be defined by locking means s 'engaging in a predetermined position of the support 20. The unfolded position may finally result from the loss of efficiency of the elastic 74h, 74i and 74b resulting from their relaxation.In the latter situation, any additional elevation of the reinforcing bar 12 au- beyond the unfolded position in fact leads to a position in which the action of the winding means exceeds that of the elastic bands. The reinforcement bar 12 therefore moves towards the unfolded position as soon as the user releases its force upwards on the reinforcement bar 12. The unfolded position is then the last position upwards where the action of the winding means and that of elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b offset each other. Advantageously, the height of the support 20 is not limited by the size of the user, the elevation of the reinforcement bar 12 being able to be extended by an action of the user on the diamonds arranged in the lower part of the support 20. The support according to the invention therefore allows sheets to be easily extended over great heights while ensuring very high stability. The user can continue unfolding the support 20 to the unfolded position. Preferably, the blocking means engage when the support 20 reaches the unfolded position and prevent any involuntary folding of the support 20. Advantageously, the locking means are however optional, the support 20 remaining in equilibrium in the unfolded position. Advantageously, in the unfolded position, the diamond structure of the support 20 gives very great stability to the information presentation device. To again wind the ply 3 around the drum 5, after having, if necessary, released the locking means, the user acts on the reinforcing bar 12, the ply 3 or the bars forming the diamond structures of the support 20 to bring the reinforcement bar 12 down. Advantageously, the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b stretched between the right and left knee pads of the diamond structures, avoid sudden and immediate winding of the ply 3 around the drum 5. Due to the compensation of the forces exerted by the elastic bands 74h, 74i and 74b and by the winding means, the user can interrupt the folding of the structure in any intermediate position. To change the sheet 3, the user unrolls it substantially completely until the support portion 84 engages in the housing 86. The housing 86 remains covered by the assembly formed by the sheet 3 and the primer, therefore inoperative , until the last turn of the drum 5 before complete unwinding. Substantially up to the fully unrolled position of the ply 3, it is therefore possible, at any time, to wind or uncoil the ply 3 freely. During the last turn, the housing 86 is uncovered. Passing in front of the lever 80, the latter then engages, under the effect of the spring 82, in the housing 86, making any subsequent winding of the ply 3 impossible without user intervention on the control part 88. L the primer is then taken out of the trunk 6. The user then pulls frontally, that is to say substantially perpendicular to the plane of the ply 3, the upper strip 11 out of the groove 16 of the reinforcement bar 12. Similarly , it detaches the lower edge of the sheet 3 from the primer. To secure the upper edge of the replacement ply to the reinforcement bar 12, the user pushes the upper strip of this ply frontally in the groove 16 until the bead 15 clicks into place. To secure the lower edge of the replacement ply to the drum 5, the user fixes the lower edge of the replacement ply to the primer, for example by gluing. Advantageously, thanks to the primer, (a replacement ply can thus be made integral with the drum 5 without the user having to intervene inside the trunk 6 to fix it directly on the winding surface 14 of the drum 5 The user then releases the part 84 of the housing 86 by pressing the control part 88 of the lever, which allows the rotation of the drum 5 in the winding direction E. Preferably, as soon as the support part 84 is released from the housing 86, the drum 5 performs a first winding turn on itself during which the replacement ply or the primer covers the housing 86. The user can then relax his action on the part of support 84, and continue winding the replacement ply around the drum 5 to the folded position of the support 20. As is now clearly apparent, the support 20 according to the invention allows mounting and dismounting of the device according to the invention very ra pide, and low cost. Of course, the support according to the invention is not limited to the support described and shown. The support according to the invention could in particular include any number of diamonds, for example comprising only one diamond. The support according to the invention could also be used for stretching awnings, blinds, or any other device requiring the deployment and tensioning of a sheet. The winding, in the folded position, of a ply 3 around a drum is not a limiting constraint. Thus, in a variant of the invention as shown in FIG. 10, no means of winding the tablecloth is not provided, the tablecloth resting, for example wound on itself, in bulk or folded, in the folded position of the support The lower edge of the tablecloth is fixed on a lower reinforcement bar 80 secured to the foot 7 Under the effect of the elastic stretched between the right and left knee pads, the support unfolds by itself, without user intervention, until the ply 3 is stretched between the reinforcement bars 12 and 80. Advantageously, in this variant of the invention, the elastic bands serve therefore not only means for unfolding the support, but also means for tensioning the ply 3 in the unfolded position of the support. Advantageously, such an information presentation device is inexpensive, has good rigidity in the unfolded position of the support, and is compact in the folded position of the support. Two layers can advantageously be arranged on either side of the same support according to the invention. Thanks to the device according to the invention, it is also possible to produce objects of various shapes. For example, a plurality of supports according to the invention can be used, the reinforcement bars of which would be connected to one another, so as to form, in the unfolded position, a column or a cabin. Thanks to the support according to the invention, it is advantageously possible to create an object delimited by a closed surface, no direct access to the support being necessary for its unfolding. It is also possible to couple two presentation devices according to the invention as described in Figures 1 to 9, by placing them one next to the other so that by unfolding the supports of these devices, one unwinds two layers hiding said supports. The number of diamonds provided with an elastic is not limiting. For example, only the 30h high diamond could be fitted with it.
