Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un système de fourniture de service gratuit de vidéo à la demande utilisant un décodeur numérique et un procédé associé, dans lequel un utilisateur est assuré d'un service de vidéo à la demande pour un film souhaité gratuitement en utilisant un décodeur. Le système comporte : un décodeur numérique d'un utilisateur qui est alimenté en contenu de service par sélection d'utilisateur au moyen d'une ligne d'abonné téléphonique numérique à très haut débit et affiche ledit contenu via un téléviseur en temps réel et qui possède une fonction de terminal de carte de crédit ; un appareil de fourniture de service qui fournit un contenu de service de vidéo à la demande gratuit et les données de messages publicitaires associés selon une requête de service de vidéo à la demande transmise depuis le décodeur numérique ; un synthétiseur vocal qui est relié à l'appareil de fourniture de service et fournit des données de synthèse vocales selon un service sélectionné ; un serveur de galerie marchande qui reçoit une information d'achat concernant un objet de message publicitaire commandé par le téléspectateur via le décodeur numérique et l'appareil de fourniture de service ; un appareil de mémoire locale qui reçoit sous forme de données audio l'information d'achat concernant l'objet de message publicitaire commandé par le téléspectateur via le décodeur numérique et l'appareil de fourniture de service et le synthétiseur vocal ; un système de paiement électronique pour une transaction réalisée au niveau du serveur de galerie marchande et l'appareil de mémoire locale ; et un réseau de communication qui établit une interconnexion entre le décodeur numérique, l'appareil de fourniture de service, l'appareil de mémoire locale et le système de paiement électronique. Selon la présente invention, le système et le procédé peuvent résoudre les problèmes classiques qui impliquent une procédure fastidieuse comprenant l'octroi d'une identification d'utilisateur et d'un mot de passe en provenance d'un prestataire de service de vidéo à la demande pour la réception d'un service de vidéo à la demande et le paiement par le téléspectateur de frais de service prédéterminé.
