- the metal salts act as coordinators between the carboxylic acid groups and increase the dynamic glass transition temperature of the polymer. This effect is very unusual because with normal ES crosslinking, the dynamic glass transition temperature is almost independent of the degree of crosslinking. Therefore, the increase should cause a shift in the cohesive area and reduce the ESH dose required for optimal networking.

The columns PSS-SDV, 5 ⁇ , 10 3 and 10 5 and 10 6 , each with an ID of 8.0 mm x 300 mm, were used for the separation. The sample concentration was 4 g / l, the flow rate 1.0 ml per minute. It was measured against PMMA standards.
- a 2 L glass reactor conventional for radical polymerizations was mixed with 8 g acrylic acid, 178 g n-butyl acrylate, 178 g 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 4 g maleic anhydride, 32 g N-tert-butyl acrylamide and 300 g acetone / isopropanol (97: 3) filled. After passing through with nitrogen gas for 45 minutes while stirring, the reactor was heated to 58 ° C. and 0.2 g of Vazo 67 was added. The outer heating bath was then heated to 75 ° C. and the reaction was carried out constantly at this outside temperature. After a reaction time of 1.5 h, 0.2 g of Vazo 67 were again added.
