Definitions
- the invention concerns the heater for combined heating, i.e. the heating unit, which is typically attached to the heating system, and which can, however, heat the environment additionally by an electrical heating source, this particularly in periods of transition, if no central heating source of the heating system is operated.
- the well-known fin-heating units resemble the given purpose. These are suitable by their construction for a simple installation of the electrical heating element.
- the solutions are known, which are adapted for the electrical heating only and where the electrical heating element is usually inserted in the oblong lower channel of the heating panel adapted for it.
- These heating units are mostly filled with oil and may not be attached to heating system with the circulation of heater medium, which is usually only water.
- the purpose of the invention is the design of the panel-heating unit for combined heating, which, from the users point of view, proves the same visual and technical characteristics as the standard panel-heating unit with the built-in thermostatic or only manually controlled valve and the said heating unit features additional possibility to utilise the heating unit in combined mode of operation, it means that its heating medium charge would be possibly heated electrically after the disconnection of the heating system, and the described goal is in accordance with the invention achieved by the fact that the heating unit that is equipped in the corners of at least one of the heating panels with the fittings for heating medium and which is alternatively equipped on its side with a compact valve garniture together with the lower body, this one consisting of together firmly interconnected main return flow outlet fitting and the onward flow inlet fitting with the attached delivery pipe, which flows out into the upper fitting, and the said piece is equipped with regulation -elements to control the flow of heating medium, and its lower main fitting and the lower secondary return' flow fitting located on the external side of the panel-heating unit are together firmly interconnected to allow for
- the hollow profile is on one side of the said compact valve equipped with a bushing, which is led, sealed, through the by-pass cavity of the inlet fitting of the said compact valve garniture and so on.
- the hollow profile together with all lower fittings including the compact valve garniture and the delivery pipe or the blind pipe that is to simulate the delivery pipe constitute one compact technological complex which can be prepared in advance and then inserted on the dedicated point of the production line e.g. by means of a handling device and thus the possible considerable adaptation costs of the technological equipment for the manufacturing of the panel-heating units can be eliminated.
- the favourable variability of the panel-heating unit for combined heating consists, in accordance with the invention, in the fact that the assembly of the electrical heating element can be performed at any time later in inserting it in the hollow profile through the by-pass cavity of the lower secondary fitting, to which it will be fixed from outside at the same time.
- An indisputable advantage of the distributing armature of the intended panel- heating unit is represented by its easy adaptation for using the electrically generated heat as an antifreeze control in case the panel-heating unit is jeopardised by frost, if, for any reason, in winter season, the central heating system is switched out of operation and so on.
- Fig. 1 represents the rear view of the panel-heating unit with the compact valve garniture together with the attached hollow profile and the electrical heating element inserted
- Fig. 2 represents the detail of the hollow profile terminator with the bushing, which is led, sealed, through the bypass cavity of the inlet fitting of the compact valve garniture
- Fig. 3 represents the version of the panel-heating unit with the hollow profile interconnecting both lower fittings and with the attached auxiliary non-passing pipe which leads to the upper fitting
- Fig. 1
- FIG. 4 represents another version of the panel-heating unit with the hollow profile interconnecting both lower fittings and which contains the pipe interconnecting one lower and one upper fitting, when the adjacent depicted delivery pipe is blind and is intended for handling purposes when manipulating with the distribution armature on the production line.
- the invention is described on the basis of the well-known standard panel- heating unit 1 (Fig.1) that is equipped in the corners of at least one of the heating panels 2 with the lower fittings 3£ and the upper fittings 5 5 for heating medium and which is alternatively equipped on its side with a compact valve garniture 7 together with the lower body 8, this one consisting of together firmly interconnected lower main return flow outlet fitting 3 and the onward flow inlet fitting 9 with the attached delivery pipe 10, which flows out into upper fitting 5 and this piece is equipped with the regulation element 1_1 to control the flow of heating medium.
- Fig.1 standard panel- heating unit 1
- the lower main outlet fitting 3 and the lower return flow secondary outlet fitting 4 located on the external side of the panel- heating unit 1 are together firmly interconnected to allow for medium circulation and the major section of the interconnection of the said fittings 3 ⁇ consists of the hollow profile 12 which is led parallel to the lower edge of the panel-heating unit I and the said profile is designed to be equipped with an electrical heater 13. If the panel-heating unit 1 is equipped with the compact valve garniture 7, then the hollow profile 12 is on one side of the said compact valve equipped with a bushing 14, which is led, sealed, through the by-pass cavity 15 of the inlet fitting 9 of the said compact valve 7, as it is detailed illustrated in Fig. 2.
- the cross-section of the hollow profile 12 can be chosen freely and consists for example of a pipe of convenient diameter or of another profile, for example with rectangular shape or similar.
- This profile constitutes a room next to the heating panel 2 of the panel-heating unit 1 for the insertion of the electrical heater 13 that is inserted into the hollow profile 12 through the lower secondary fitting 4 on which it is to be attached.
- the compact valve garniture 7 is further adapted through the insertion of the said bushing 14 that derives the heating medium from the hollow profile 12 through the by-pass cavity 15 of the inlet fitting 9 of the compact valve garniture 7 directly into the lower main fitting 3.
- both ends of the bushing 14 are sealed, for example by means of compression.
- the whole distribution armature i.e. the compact valve garniture 7, inserted bushing 14, delivery pipe 10, hollow profile 12, and the fittings 3A5. including the inlet fitting 9. are designed as one complex, which can be inserted en bloc on the production line of the panel- heating units 1. In this way it is ensured that no special adaptation of the existing technological equipment is necessary.
- the adaptation of the standard panel-heating unit 1 without the built-in thermostatic valve can be made, when instead of the compact valve garniture 7 only two fittings 3 ⁇ 5, which are arranged in the corners one above the other and at least one lower secondary fitting 4 are employed.
- the distribution armature consists of the hollow profile 12 only that connects the lower secondary fitting 4 with the lower main fitting 3.
- the function mode of the panel-heating unit 1 for combined heating is described as follows:
- the externally heated medium enters the panel-heating unit 1 through the inlet fitting 9 and its by-pass cavity 15 into the attached delivery pipe K) and into the upper fitting 5 where the medium continues to flow into the heating panel 2 of the panel-heating unit 1 through the corresponding regulation element IT. Then the heating medium flows back through the lower main return flow outlet fitting 3 into the central heating system.
- the panel-heating unit 1 features the well-known standard characteristics. It differs from the standard panel-heating unit 1 visually only, particularly from bottom when only the hollow profile 12 is visible, which, under the usual angle of view, is however otherwise not visible. The terminator of the electrical heater 13 can possibly be seen, if it is built in. ' ⁇
- the electrical heater 13 has to be switched on and the regulation element ll, i.e. a thermostatic valve or a standard not illustrated valve that is located close to the upper fitting 5 has to be turned off.
- the heating medium will be heated by the electrical heater 13 in the hollow profile 12, thereof it flows through the lower main fitting 3 and lower secondary fitting 4 into the heating panel 2, and/or in several panels of the panel-heating unit 1. Subsequently, the cooled down heating medium flows back through the same fittings 3 j 4 into the hollow profile 12 for the further heating up, and the electrical heater 13 is being controlled by the corresponding thermostatic control.
- a version of the panel-heating unit 1 for combined heating (Fig. 3) can be based in a simplified configuration on the standard panel-heating unit 1 that is equipped in the corners of at least one of the heating panels 2 with the lower fittings 3 ; and the upper fittings 5 ⁇ 6 for heating medium.
- the lower main fitting 3 and the lower secondary return flow fitting 4 on the external side of the panel- heating unit 1 are together firmly interconnected to allow for medium circulation and the major section of the interconnection of the said fittings consists of the hollow profile 12 which is led parallel to the lower edge of the panel-heating unit 1 in order to be equipped with the electrical heater 13.
- the whole distribution armature consisting of such parts is equipped with the delivery pipe 10 equivalent that is interconnected with the hollow profile body 12 and with the upper fitting 5, when the delivery pipe JO serves here for technological purposes only, particularly for pick-up the armature by the handling device on the production line.
- the flow of the heating medium is here disabled.
- FIG. 4 Another version of the panel-heating unit 1 for combined heating (Fig. 4) can be based in simplified configuration on a standard panel- heating unit 1 that is equipped in the corners of at least one of the heating panels 2 with the lower outlet fittings 3,4 and the upper outlet fittings 5 5 for heating medium.
- the lower main fitting 3 and the lower secondary return flow fitting 4 located on the external side of the panel-heating unit 1 are together firmly interconnected to allow for medium circulation and the major section of the interconnection of the said fittings consists of the hollow profile 12 which is led parallel to the lower edge of the panel-heating unit 1 and the said profile is designed to be equipped with an electrical heater 13.
- the whole complex consisting of the said parts is equipped with the delivery pipe IjO equivalent that is interconnected with the hollow profile body 12 and with the upper fitting 5, when the delivery pipe 10 serves here for technological purposes only, particularly for pick-up the armature by the handling device on the production line.
- the flow of the heating medium is here disabled.
