Abstract

The invention relates to a device for adjusting the distance between the cups (4a, 4b) of a bra comprising at least one flexible string (1) that is to be associated with the facing lateral edges (3a, 3b) of the cups (4a, 4b) so as to form two attachment straps (5a, 5b), a member (6) which regulates the length of said attachment straps (5a, 5b) and within which the straps can slide towards a blocking member (7), said blocking member being formed by at least one couple of parts (7a, 7b) that enter in contact with the straps (5a, 5b) via retaining means (8a, 8b). Said parts (7a, 7b) are mounted so as to be located across from each other while being movable one relative to the other and are provided with means (9a, 9b or 20a, 20b) for actuating the retaining means (8a, 8b). The blocking member encompasses at least one compressible elastic element (10) which is placed between the actuating means (9a, 9b, 20a, 20b) in order to allow the straps (5a, 5b) to slide within the blocking member when the actuating means (9a, 9b or 20a, 20b) are compressed while allowing the straps (5a, 5b) to shear and be retained when the actuating means (9a, 9b or 20a, 20b) are released in order to return to the neutral position thereof. The invention is characterized in that said device comprises locking means that are formed by a plurality of knobs (14) which are arranged on the string (1). The inventive device is suitable as an accessory for lingerie articles.
