Abstract

The method of holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together is used by penetrating them with the cylindrical pin (1) with certainty, strength and speed. If there is not certainty in the penetration, it will make the cylindrical pin (1) bend and then the pin cannot penetrate the iron plates. For this cylindrical pin, there is improvement made from the old pin by making the bottom end of the cylindrical pin body sharp, and this sharp end will help to more easily penetrate the iron plates (12) than the old pin which has a flat end. And the speed used in this method will help the body of the cylindrical pin (1) not to spread out before it penetrates through the iron plates (12). When the cylindrical pin (1) penetrates through the iron plates (12) by using the pressing machine (11), the axle of the end of the pin body will hit with the sharp top of the rod (10) located in the hole of the lower pressing machine (9) and then the end of pin (1) will be spread out immediately and help hold the side iron plate with the shutter plate together.

Description

METHOD OF JOINING A SIDE IRON PLATE WITH A IRON SHUTTER PLATE AND CYLINDRICAL PIN FOR FASTENING PLATE MATERIALS
SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26)
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The engineering is relating to the method of holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Presently, there are several methods for holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together. For example, the arc welding method where two iron plates are welded together, but this method has some disadvantages as there will be a problem if the arc- welded area has color coating. However there is a solution to solve this problem by increasing the arc power to hold the iron plates together, but this method has a weak point if we use the arc power in high amount to arc-weld it then it will penetrate these iron plates. After that, we need to apply a new solution to solve this penetrative iron plate problem by using the arc power to weld in a normal amount but we have to scrape off the coating color on the area that needs to be arc-welded before using the arc welding step. Therefore, we can conclude that this method has some disadvantages because there are many working steps involved to solve the problem and moreover the areas that have been arc-welded will have rust easily and obviously; the product from this method will not look good.
Another method for holding the iron plates together is by penetrating an iron plate to make the hole and pumping another iron plate to make a rod, then the rod of the second plate is passed through the hole of the first plate. Finally, the rod is hard pressed to spread out so it can hold both iron plates together. The iron plates, which are held together by this method is not enduring as there are several working steps and has a limit of application; because the iron plates must be produced specifically and must have an elastic property. Therefore, this method is not suitable for holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together.
The method of holding two iron plates by compressing; for this method we have to use the compressing machine that is specifically designed. This compressing machine has two main parts - the lower base of the machine has a hole that has round end at the bottom, which is lower than the middle area of this hole. And another part is the upper part of the machine that has a pressing rod, which connects with the end of the hydraulic tube. This upper part of the machine will use the pressing rod to press the wanted area of the overlapped iron plates to push them down into the hole and then this area will have the pressed print. This pressed print helps hold these. iron plates together. However, this method has a limit because the lower iron plate must be a kind of a soft plate so we cannot use this method with a hard iron plate and we cannot use this method for holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together.
The last method is the drilling and using of the cylindrical pin. The characteristics of this cylindrical pin is that the top head is flat; circular and bigger than the body, and the body is a solid cylinder, which has a hole inside the end of the body. This hole will hit to spread out to hold the plates together and the depth of this hole depends on the kind of work required. This method is durable but there are many working steps. We must drill a hole of the same size on the iron plates beforehand and then take the pin through the hole and finally hit the end of the body of the pin to spread out to hold the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together. BRIEF DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION Accordinε to the above details, we can see that each method has different advantages and disadvantages. In order to solve the problem by using the above methods, we have invented a new method to hold two iron plates together. This method uses a new technique to hold the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate -together by -penetrating- the -iron-plates with-.the-cylindricaUpin_with-certainty-,- strength and speed. If there is no certainty it will make the cylindrical pin bend and it cannot penetrate the iron plates. However, there is improvement made from the old pin by making the bottom end of the cylindrical pin body sharp, and this sharp end will help penetrate the iron plates more easily than the old pin which has a fiat end. And the speed used in this method will help the body of the cylindrical pin not to spread out before it penetrates through the iron plates. When the cylindrical pin penetrates through the iron plates by the pressing machine; the axle of the end of the pin body will hit with the sharp top of the rod located in the hole of the lower pressing machine and then the end of the pin will be immediately spread out and help hold the iron plates together. Thus we can say that this new method is much easier and has just one step.
The main objective of this method is to reduce the work step in drilling step and this holding method will give the strength.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is a cross-section view of the cylindrical pin according to this invention Fi°-. 2 is the way to hold the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together by penetrating them with the cylindrical pin according to this invention DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Figure 1 is the characteristics of the cylindrical pin (1). The head of the pin (2) has a flat circular shape and is bigger than the body of the pin. The body of the pin has a solid cylinder shape and has a tiny hole (3) inside the end of the body. The depth of this hole depends on the kind of work, and this hole can be spread out when, it i.ς pressed. Furthermore, the end of the pin body has a sharp shape _ (4)_t help the body of the pin penetrate the iron plates more easily than the old pin whose end is flat.
Figure 2 is the characteristics of the method of holding the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together by penetrating them by the cylindrical pin for this invention by penetrating the cylindrical pin with certainty, strength and speed. For the pressing strength, the pressing machine (11) will press the cylindrical pin (1) in the perpendicular position with the iron plates (12) laid on the base of this pressing machine (9). This base (9) is the cylinder that its upper part has a hole and has a metal rod (10) inside this hole. The metal rod has a sharp top end and it can slightly move down help the end of the pin body to penetrate through the iron plates before it will hit with the sharp top of the metal rod (10). If there is not accuracy during penetration, the pin (1) will bend and cannot penetrate through the iron plates (12). By pressing strength of the pressing machine (11), the core area of the end of pin will hit with the sharp top of the metal rod. The metal rod (10) will move slightly down to help the end of pin penetrate through the iron plates (12) and then it will push against the end of the pin to immediately spread out and hold the side iron plate with the iron shutter plate together.
THE BEST METHOD OF THE INVENTION
It is like the detailed description of the invention item.
