- a rigid rod 18 has its rear end connected to the tab 6 by an axis 19. The other end of the rod 18 is connected to the arm 10 in a median plane of the latter by a transverse axis 20.
- the rod 18 therefore makes it possible to keep a constant distance between the arm 10 and the rear of the rear roof part 4.
- the rod furthermore drives the rear roof element 4 when it is pushed by the arm 10.
- the front roof element 5 is driven on the slide 15 by means of a motor 21 integral with the element 5.
- a finger 22 guides the element 5 in the slide 15 and a rack system 23 integral with the roller 22 and driven by the motor 21 makes it possible to actuate the element 5 in the slide 15.

- the roof is then driven in the rear trunk by the continued tilting of the arm 10 which also drives the slide 15. During this movement, the distance between the front roof elements 5 and rear 4 is maintained by the cooperation of the slide 13 with the finger 12.
- the front element 5 and the slide 15 can be unlocked from the rear element 4 to be locked to the vehicle structure as well as to the slide 8.
- the motor 29 moves the hook 25 backwards, which has the effect of unlocking the slide 15 of the arm 10.
- the hook 25 then comes to lock on the finger 27 which, by means of the part 28, is integral with the structure of the vehicle.
- the motor 29 actuates the rod 32 and thus the connecting rod 33.
- the connecting rod 33 is thus locked on the rear edge of the slide 8 preventing the slide 15 from moving along the slide 8.
- the rear element 4 of the roof can then go back up to come in the configuration of FIG. 5. It will be observed that the kinematics described above allows the horizontal storage of the roof elements in the rear trunk. But it would also be possible to store them vertically in the event that their length does not exceed the height of the trunk.
