Abstract

The invention relates to the production of building materials, in particular to a mixture of any bitumen and a carbonaceous mineral powder. The inventive binder is used in the form of a bonding agent for producing mastic and asphalt concrete compounds for constructing and repairing roll and cast mastic roofs, waterproofing and insulation's. Said invention is characterised in that the mineral organic binder is produced by mixing the hot bitumen of any modification with the mineral powder which is made of carbonaceous rock whose total content in CaCO3+MgCO3 is equal to or higher than 95 %. Researches disclose the chemical nature of the binding properties thereof, which is based on the chemical adsorption of a bitumen on the mineral material surface. The high MgCO3 content improves the adhesive ability also with respect to acid breakstone. Said binder differs from analogues by that the excellent adhesive ability thereof and makes it possible to produce water-resistant, heat resistant, frost-resistant and durable roofing and waterproof coatings. Said coatings are weather-resistant, solar radiation-resistant, non-toxic and environmentally safer than any actually used roofing and waterproof materials
