Abstract

The invention relates to a rear-view mirror system for vehicles, whereby exterior images are projected onto the control panel area. The purpose of the invention is to enable the driver to view exterior images of the front-side, rear-side and rear parts of the vehicle. The invention is characterised in that it comprises two standard exterior rear-view mirrors (1 and 2) and another interior mirror (5) which reflect the front-side and rear images in an orderly manner onto co-operating interior mirrors (6) located on the roof. The invention is further characterised in that it also comprises additional exterior rear-view mirrors (3 and 4) which reflect the front-side images. In this way, the images received by mirrors 3, 4 and 6 are projected separately and in an orderly manner onto the co-operating mirrors (7) at a suitable position on the control panel of the vehicle, such that they can be viewed by the driver. According to the invention, one part of the mirror system can be used or all of the mirrors can be used together.

Description

DESCRIPCIÓN DESCRIPTION
TITULO:TITLE:
Sistema de espejos retrovisores para vehículos.Rearview mirror system for vehicles.
a) SECTOR DE LA TÉCNICA:a) TECHNICAL SECTOR:
The present invention relates to a rear-view mirror system for vehicles, the object of which is to provide the driver with a view of the exterior images thereto, both of the lateral-anterior and lateral-posterior part and of the rear, as well as the p Spray all these images on other mirrors located in the control area of the vehicle, in a place suitable for the good visibility - by the driver - of the projected images.
b) ESTADO DE LA TÉCNICA:b) STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE:
The rear-view mirrors that vehicles currently have are usually three: the one located internally - normally in the upper central part of the windshield and generally glued on it -, and the two side mirrors outside the vehicle, which provide, between the three, a vision of the images located on the side-rear and rear of the vehicle.
This forces the driver, who normally when he is driving is visualizing the exterior images he has in front, has to continually look away at the three rearview mirrors that he normally has, located in distant points between us and away from the visual which, in general, directs to its front, to be able to obtain the data of what happens in its lateral ones and in its back part, with the consequent effort to look at three other points different from the frontal, and with the corresponding danger to divert during a few moments the look of said frontal.
With traditional rear-view mirrors, there is also no data referring to the situation of your own vehicle with respect to the objects that are in front of it and that are not seen by the driver from his seat, for example low-rise objects that are not perceived in parking maneuvers, or other vehicles that are in front of the vehicle to be advanced at any given time.
In addition, the situation of the current rearview mirror, on the windshield and normally stuck on it, reduces visibility to the front and can cause blows to passengers as it is usually placed very outstanding.
c) EXPLICACIÓN: Los problemas que se desean resolver son:c) EXPLANATION: The problems to be solved are:
- conseguir que el conductor no tenga que desviar la mirada a los actuales espejos retrovisores, situados en puntos distantes entre sí y alejados de la visual que normalmente dirige el conductor a su frente al conducir.- ensure that the driver does not have to look away from the current rear-view mirrors, located at points distant from each other and away from the visual that the driver normally directs to his front while driving.
- get a better visibility of the driver with the elimination of the current rearview mirror, which is usually located occupying a part of the windshield since the proposed solution is placed outside the windshield; on the other hand minimize the possible blows of the passengers with it since at present it is usually very outstanding. To solve these problems, a system of rear-view mirrors for vehicles has been devised, whose purpose is to provide the driver with a vision of the exterior images located on the front-front, rear-side and rear of the vehicle, characterized by having two mirrors Conventional mirrors (1) and (2) on the exterior of the vehicle, and another interior (5) that neatly reflect the lateral-rear and rear images on the set of cooperating mirrors (6) located internally on the roof, and characterized by have other exterior rearview mirrors (3) and (4), which reflect the lateral-anterior images, projecting the images received by (3), (4) and (6), separately and in order, on the set of mirrors in cooperation (7), in a suitable place on the control area of the vehicle for comfortable viewing by the driver.
The system described above can work together, or any combination of exterior rearview mirrors can be installed independently together with the corresponding mirrors. Interior mirrors for the projection of the desired exterior images to the driver.
Ventajas del sistema propuesto: se deducen de la solución propuesta en la presente Memoria a los problemas antes planteados: - El conductor dirige su mirada continuamente al frente: bien al exterior al conducir, bien a la zona de mandos donde se ubica la proyección de las imágenes de los laterales y trasera de su vehículo, ambas direcciones muy próximas entre sí.Advantages of the proposed system: the problems proposed above are deduced from the solution proposed in this Report: - The driver continuously directs his gaze to the front: either outside while driving, or to the control area where the projection of the images of the sides and rear of your vehicle, both directions very close to each other.
In addition to images of the lateral-rear and rear of the vehicle, the images of the lateral-anterior are perceived, both at the middle level of the vehicle and at ground level, to facilitate maneuvering.
The rearview mirror on the windshield is eliminated, increasing visibility and avoiding possible blows to passengers, replacing it with a more integrated one, inside the roof of the vehicle. - The cost of the system is minimal since, both the materials used and the technology used, it is very economical.
- El mantenimiento es muy reducido puesto que se basa en sistemas de simple funcionamiento y reparación.- Maintenance is very low since it is based on simple operation and repair systems.
It can be installed, both in new and existing vehicles by placing the simple elements described here.
