Description

METHOD OF COMPOUNDED IMAGE GENERATION AMD DOWNLOADING FOR
MOBILE PHONE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a method of generating and downloading a composite image for a mobile phone using the wireless Internet, which can photograph a plurality of specific objects using the camera of the mobile phone, store the images of the specific objects in files, combine the images into a desired form on the wireless Internet, and allow the composite image to be used as the background screen image of a user's mobile phone or transmit the composite image to another person' s mobile phone .
Background Art
The quality improvements and diversification of wireless Internet service have brought a revolution to the functions of a mobile phone, which is the representative of portable personal communication terminals. Conventionally, a mobile phone has the main function of enabling voice communications.
However, various functions including a wireless Internet access function are added to a general mobile phone, so that the user of the mobile phone can not only perform the process and execution of desirable information but also acquire desired information irrespective of location and time, using his or her terminal.
The biggest advantage of a portable personal communication terminal capable of accessing the wireless Internet is that desired information can be acquired or required contents programs can be downloaded from a server. As examples, a ring tone, a background screen image, and a game program may be cited. Most of currently popularized portable communication terminals are installed with a limited number of game programs, ring tones, and image data, which can be executed in the portable communication terminals .
Accordingly, many users of mobile phones download various ring tones or images through the wireless Internet to install their own distinctive ring tones or unique images and allow the ring tones or unique images to be executed in their mobile phones.
However, conventional image file download is performed in such a way that only an image selected by a user can be downloaded from an image Data Base (DB) provided by a Contents Provider (CP) , so that a disadvantage arises in that the user cannot acquire active background screen images including the image of the user. Recently, a mobile phone having a function of connecting with a camera or a built-in camera is sold commercially, so that the user of the mobile phone can photograph the face of the user or a friend using the camera, and use a photographed image as a background screen image .
However, the image photographed by the camera of the mobile phone reflects only the actual image of a photographed object, so that the user of the mobile phone cannot obtain an imaginary image that the user of the mobile phone imagines.
Even though the technology of the mobile phone is considerably developed, and thus various services are provided, the user of the mobile phone demands the latest technology.
Disclosure of the Invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a method of handling a unique composite image for a mobile phone capable of providing interests to the users of mobile phones and, more particularly, to provide a method of generating and downloading a composite image for a mobile phone using the wireless Internet, which can photograph a plurality of specific objects or persons using the camera of the mobile phone, store images in files, combine the images with a desired image or characters on the wireless
Internet, and allow the composite image to be used as the background screen image of a user's mobile phone or transmit the composite image to another person' s mobile phone .
In order to accomplish the above object, the present invention provides a method of generating and downloading a composite image for a mobile phone, including the first step of photographing objects and storing images of the photographed objects using a camera phone, the second step of connecting the camera phone to an image server through the wireless Internet, passing a process of authenticating right of use, and uploading files of the images stored in the mobile phone to a unique account of a user provided by the image server, the third step of selecting an composition mode after the second step, and adjusting sizes, number, and locations of the images while designating image files to be combined in sequence, the fourth step of combining the adjusted images into a composite image, and saving the composite image in a single image file, the fifth step of designating a phone number of a mobile phone to download the saved file of the composite image, and the sixth step of downloading the saved file of the composite image to the mobile phone having the designated phone number.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of a wireless Internet based-image composition system according to the present invention.
Referring to the drawing, the images of specific objects photographed using a camera mounted on a camera phone 10 are processed and stored in files in the camera phone 10, and the files of the images stored in the camera phone 10 are uploaded to an image server 12 through the wireless Internet .
To upload the images photographed by the camera phone 10 to the image server 12, a process of authenticating the right of use should be passed. For this purpose, the image server 12 has a member DB including registered member information and settlement account information for the imposition of a charge for use.
Additionally, the update of the image files in the image server 12 is performed by a CP server 14. A client computer 18 connected to a web server 16 through the wired Internet can directly access the image server 12.
A method of generating and downloading a composite image based on a wireless Internet system is described below.
FIG. 2 is a flowchart of the present invention. At the first step, the user of a camera phone 10 photographs specific objects, such as the user, friends, or a lover, using the camera phone 10, and stores the images of the photographed objects on the internal memory of the camera phone 10. The photographed images are stored in files by the cut.
At the second step, the camera phone 10 storing the image files is connected to the wireless Internet and the image server 12 for providing image composition and downloading services is selected.
When the camera phone 10 is connected to the image server 12, camera phone information, such as a manufacturing company, a device type, the type of a Central Processor Unit (CPU) and the format of the image files, is automatically uploaded to the image server 12. Accordingly, the image server 12 prepares a proper type of image composition according to the specification information of the camera phone 10 connecting with the image server 12. At this time, the image server 12 authenticates the right of the use of the image server 12 by recognizing registered member information and the phone number of the mobile phone, opens the unique account of the camera phone 10 having the right of the use of the image server 12, and stores the image files uploaded from the camera phone 10 in the unique account. At the third step, when the user of the camera phone
10 selects an image composition mode after completing the upload of the image files stored in the camera phone 10 and to be combined, the files of the various images of a famous singer, a famous actor, a sports player and a famous television actor uploaded by the manager of the image server 12 to the image DB through the CP server 14, in addition to the image files stored in the unique account of the camera phone 10, are downloaded to and displayed on the screen of the camera phone 10. Accordingly, at the third step, the user of the camera phone 10 can combine the image of the user with the image of a famous actor, or generate a certain image in which the image of the user is combined with the image of a friend or a lover. For this purpose, the user of the camera phone 10 adjusts the sizes, number, and locations of the images while designating the image files to be combined in sequence so as to optimize a composite image for the screen of camera phone 10.
At the fourth step, the images completely adjusted at the third step are combined together and are saved in a single image file.
At the fifth step, the user designates the phone number of a mobile phone to download the image file saved at the fourth step. If the specific phone number of a mobile phone is not designated in the process of inputting the phone number of a mobile phone (camera phone) to designate the mobile phone to which the image file is downloaded, it is preferable that the phone number of the user's mobile phone is automatically designated according to a default value, and thus the image file is downloaded to the user's mobile phone. At the sixth step, the selected image file is downloaded to the mobile phone having the designated number or to the user's mobile phone designated by the user. At this time, the charge for the use of the image server 12 for the user to combine images to be used in the mobile phone of the user can be collected by operating a general billing system.
The composite image generated and received through the above-described steps can be of various types and shapes, and be used as the background screen image of the mobile phone.
A general client computer 18 connected to the wired Internet can access the image server 12 through a web server 16, so that a desired composite image can be quickly and accurately generated in the same manner as described above.
The image composition using the client computer 18 is performed relatively faster than that using the mobile phone. Accordingly, the image files of specific objects are produced using a Personal Computer (PC) camera, the image files are uploaded to the image server, the files of various composite images are generated through keyboard manipulation, and then the files of the generated composite images are stored in the account of a mobile phone to which the file of a composite image will be downloaded.
FIG. 3 is a diagram schematically showing parameters in an example of the composition of two images according to the present invention. If a first image to be preserved is /images/jpg, and a second image to be combined with the first image is mimages/multi.png when it is assumed that the two images are in a specific place (cv.conf), http://odition.com/jOml/multi.png/gif output in gif format after composition http://odition.com/jOml/multi.png/png output in png format after composition http://odition.com/jOml/multi.png/jpg output in jpg format after composition http://odition.com/jOml/multi.png/bmp output in bmp format after composition http: //odition. com/j Oml/multi .png/wbmp output in wbmp format after composition
In this case, m is a combination parameter. The two image cuts are designated by numbers from 0 to 9. If 0 is set to indicate 0%, 1 is set to indicate 10% (5%+5%) , 2 is set to indicate 20% (10%+10%) , • • ■, and 9 is set to indicate 90% (45%+45%) , the image composition as shown in FIG. 3 is performed.
The method of the present invention supports not only the technique of combining an image and an image but also the technique of combining an image and characters.
In the present invention, the character composition requires a change of property.
That is, when an image is combined with text, the following should be set in /etc/cv.conf/ property. [text] color = 0 size = 0
The following are examples of the character composition. Parameters can designate a character t, a location to be attached p, a character size s, and a character color c.
Location setting (example: t4-indicated at the centering position of X and Y axes)
Font size (example: s2-16 point for mobile phones/ 36 dot for computers)
0: 12 point for mobile phones/ 18 point for computers
1: 14 point for mobile phones/ 24 point for computers
2: 16 point for mobile phones/ 36 point for computers
3 : 18 point for mobile phones/ 48 point for computers A character color table is prescribed as Table 1 below (example: c3-white) . [Table 1]
Figure imgf000012_0001
When characters overlap an image on the screen of a mobile phone on the basis of Table 1, the color of the characters to be shown on the screen of the mobile phone is designated by selecting one of the numbers from 0 to 12.
Furthermore, the location p of the characters on the screen is determined by indicating one of the numbers from 0 to 8 with reference to Table 2 (example: p3-left center) .
[Table 2]
Figure imgf000012_0002
Table 2 prescribing character locations are schematically illustrated, as shown in FIG. 4.
For example, the output example of FIG. 4, in which a character location is designated, corresponds to the case where "p-1 (friendship)" is set and input. With the method of combining an image and an image, or an image and characters in accordance with the present invention, various images and descriptions of the images can be provided, so that an epochal mobile cyber market can be constructed.
For example, if a region of the image server on the wireless Internet is designated for a cyber market, and products are registered in the cyber market according to regions, sorts, items, and prices, the general users of mobile phones can connect to the mobile cyber market, view the image of a desired product along with a description composed of characters, and purchase the product.
In a method for achieving the above-described purpose, at the first step, objects are photographed using the camera of a mobile phone or a PC. At the second step, the mobile phone or the PC is connected to an image server through the wireless or wired Internet, a process of authenticating the right of use is passed, and then the files of the images of the photographed objects are uploaded to the unique account of a user provided by the image server. At the third step, the files of images stored in the unique account of the user are downloaded to the mobile phone, the sizes, number, and locations of the images are adjusted, and characters are combined with the adjusted images, with the location, size and color of the characters being designated in a character composition mode. At the fourth step, an image file, in which the image-character composition is completed, is uploaded to and registered in the server of the mobile cyber market, so that the users of mobile phones can download the image- character composite image file through the wireless Internet. The composite image for the mobile cyber market is generated and downloaded through the above-described steps .
The registration of products in the cyber market is performed using a CP server, a client computer and a mobile phone. A region, in which the right of registration of products is not restricted, can be operated in the form of a mobile flea market in which anyone can register products to be sold.
Industrial Applicability
The present invention provides a unique effect in that a plurality of specific objects or persons are photographed using a camera phone, the images of the photographed objects or persons are stored in files, an image is combined with another image or characters, and the composite image is used as the background screen image of a user's mobile phone or transmitted to another person's mobile phone on the wireless Internet.
Furthermore, with the image-image composition and image-characters composition of the present invention, there can be implemented a mobile cyber market or a mobile flea market, in which the seller of a product generates information about the product to be sold, and registers the information in the mobile cyber market (image server) , and the users of wireless Internet based-mobile phones connect to the mobile cyber market, directly receive the information about the product and purchase the product.
