Abstract

La présente invention concerne un phare de véhicule doté d'une lampe à halogénure métallique comprenant : une enceinte de décharge entourée, avec un espace, par une enveloppe externe et présentant une paroi céramique, ladite enceinte renfermant un espace de décharge contenant du xénon (Xe) et une charge ionisable ; un premier et un second conducteur de courant pénétrant dans l'enceinte de décharge et supportant chacun une électrode dans l'enceinte de décharge, ce premier et ce second conducteur de courant s'étendant chacun depuis un composé d'étanchéité céramique assurant l'étanchéité aux gaz de l'enceinte de décharge autour des conducteurs de courant jusqu'à l'extérieur de l'enceinte de décharge, et l'enceinte de décharge possédant des parties terminales allongées à l'intérieur desquelles est enfermé un conducteur de courant respectif, ces parties d'obturation présentant chacune une extrémité libre ou la cuve de décharge est rendue étanche par le composé d'étanchéité céramique. Ce phare de véhicule se caractérise en ce qu'il comporte un revêtement rétroréfléchissant entourant au moins une partie d'au moins une desdites parties terminales.
