- the longitudinal structure of air baffle 40 and fan frame 92 is provided by a series of fan/baffle braces 122, which extend perpendicularly (downward in Fig. 8) from second fan strut 120 with mutually parallel relationships therebetween. Abstract
L'invention concerne un purificateur d'air portable personnel autonome (10) comprenant une séquence présélectionnée de paquets de couches filtrantes à lit à garnissage (28) renfermant des couches filtrantes de types spécifiquement destinés à absorber une gamme de polluants atmosphériques identifiés comme particulièrement dangereux pour la santé humaine. L'invention concerne également un filtre HEPA (30) destiné à capturer une matière particulaire se fixant à plusieurs de ces polluants, et notamment aux oxydes de soufre et d'azote provenant de la combustion du diesel. Les types de couches peuvent être sélectionnés de façon à correspondre à différentes conditions environnementales, telles que l'air normal environnant une autoroute ou un centre urbain, une attaque terroriste de type chimique, biologique ou nucléaire ('bombe sale'), un champ de bataille ou des environnements similaires. Un conduit d'air (48) situé au voisinage de la sortie d'air (36) est conçu pour recevoir un tuyau auquel peut être raccordé un masque ou un autre dispositif de respiration, habituellement avec un sac à air associé du type utilisé dans les masques à oxygène pour avions.
