Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Leitwegbestimmung einer paketorientierten Kommunikation eines über ein paketorientiertes Netzwerk (LAN) mit einer Netzknoteneinrichtung (ROU) verbundenen Netzelements (PC1) mit einem netzwerk-externen Netzelement. Dabei erfolgt eine Bestimmung einer dem Netzelement (PC1) im paketorientierten Netzwerk (LAN) zugewiesenen Netzwerkadresse anhand von Einträgen in Datenpaketen der paketorientierten Kommunikation sowie eine Bestimmung eines über die paketorientierte Kommunikation verwendeten Kommunikationsprotokolls. Im Fall der Bestimmung einer vorgegebenen Netzwerkadresse und/oder eines vorgegebenen Kommunikationsprotokolls erfolgt eine Terminierung der paketorientierten Kommunikation und/oder eine Auswahl eines Kommunikationsdienstanbieters (ISP) mit einem entsprechenden Zugangsprotokoll für eine Kommunikation mit dem netzwerk-externen Netzelement.
