Definitions
- the present invention relates to a disposable wax coater doubled as cleaner used for double purpose of cleaning and polishing the surface of an article such as shoes and a handbag, and more particularly, a disposable wax coater doubled as cleaner which has a polishing wax coater and a dust removing cleaner, respectively, at both ends of a body so that a user can conveniently use the wax coater doubled as cleaner at any places.
- a user removes dust from the surface with a cloth or brush and then rubs an additional coating device against the surface of the cleaned leather to wax and polish the same.
- the present invention has been devised to solve the foregoing drawbacks and it is an object of the invention to provide a wax coater doubled as cleaner having a slim-sized body together with a polishing wax coating member and a dust cleaning member so that the wax coater can be conveniently carried in a handbag or pocket and used at any places to realize convenience in portability, usability and economic efficiency.
- a disposable wax coater doubled as cleaner as described in claim 1, wherein the wax coater doubled as cleaner comprises: a body made of thin resin plate and having at least two receiving recesses with a predetermined area; fiber members each sized for the diameter of the receiving recesses and having a predetermined thickness, the fiber members being fixedly supported in such a manner that the fiber members may project out of internal spaces of the receiving recesses, respectively, for cleaning dust from the surface of an article and then coating wax thereon; and a release paper removably attached to the body while applying a pressure for receiving the fiber members respectively into the internal spaces of the receiving recesses so as to close the receiving recesses.
- the wax coater doubled as cleaner may further comprise a handle projected upward from the body, wherein the handle is integrally provided into the body in molding.
- the wax coater doubled as cleaner may further comprise thin elastic plates each provided within each of the receiving recess, wherein the each thin elastic plate has the periphery integrally attached to the periphery of the each receiving recess for forming a space to fixedly support each of the fiber members and wrinkles for applying elastic pressure to project the each fiber member out of the each receiving recess.
- the fiber members are made of a porous and soft material including sponge, and one of the fiber members is impregnated with polishing wax. According to the above configuration, a user can conveniently carry the wax coater doubled as cleaner of the invention in a handbag or pocket to use it at any time and place. Furthermore, there is an economic effect that the wax coater doubled as cleaner can be mass-produced and thus provided at a low cost.

- the disposable wax coater 100 doubled as cleaner has a body 110 which is provided at both ends with receiving recesses 112 (Fig.
- the body 110 preferably has a size to be held into a hand of an adult. While the body 110 is not specifically restricted in shape, it is preferred if the body 110 is substantially oval shaped similar to a rectangular configuration as shown in the drawings for the convenience's sake of fabrication and the purpose of cost saving.
- a fiber member 120 sized slightly smaller than the diameter of the receiving recesses 112 is fixedly supported therein so that the fiber member 120 can project out of the internal space the receiving recess 112. It will be described in detail in reference to Fig.
- the fiber member 120 is used for cleaning dust from and coating wax on the surface to be polished of a leather article such as shoes and a bag to polish the same.
- one of the fiber members 120 is impregnated with a general type of polishing wax in a sufficient quantity for polishing a pair of shoes.
- the fiber member 120 is preferably made of soft sponge which is excellent in both of cleaning dust from the leather surface and polishing the same.
- the receiving recess 112 in which the fiber member 120 is supportably received are closed in an opening with a release paper 130 so as to preserve polishing wax impregnated into the fiber member 120 for a long time period from easy volatilization while preventing penetration of dust from the outside into the fiber member 120.
- the release paper 130 is sized corresponding to the entire area of a lower portion of the body 110 and attached to the whole lower portion thereof.
- the release paper 130 is preferably made of Al film for maintaining the sealed state of the fiber members 120.
- the release paper 130 may be provided with an ear (not shown) for easy release from the body 110. Owing to softness, the fiber member 120 is contained within the receiving recess 112 under only the sealing pressure of the release paper 130 without much resistance.
- the fiber member 120 is made of an elastic material such as sponge so as to project out of the receiving recess 112 under its own elastic force as soon as the release paper 130 is released from the body 110 to maintain a very convenient state for polishing the surface to be polished.
- an elastic plate 140 inside the receiving recess 112 for imparting a certain amount of elastic pressure against the fiber member 120.
- the configuration and operation of the elastic plate 140 will be described in detail in reference to Figs. 3A, 3B and 4.
- the elastic plate 140 which is made of thin resin sheet like the body 110 defines a space sized for receiving the fiber member 120. Where the elastic plate 140 is received within the receiving recess 120, the external periphery of the elastic plate 140 is bonded to the periphery of the opening in the receiving recess 120 and thus integrated into the body 110. Then the fiber member 120 is received and securely attached into the internal space of the elastic plate 140 so as to realize an integral state with the elastic plate 140.
- the elastic member 140 has a plurality of wrinkles 142, as shown in Fig. 4, to exert elastic expansible features. That is to say, as shown in Fig.
- the wrinkles 142 of the elastic plate 140 are spread to receive the fiber member 120 so that the fiber member 120 is received inside the receiving recess 112 together with the elastic plate 140 (Fig. 3A).
- the fiber member 120 When the release paper 130 is released from the body 110 from this position, the fiber member 120 is liberated from the restrained position. Then, as the elastic force of the wrinkles 142 in the elastic plate 140 for restoring into the original shape is added to its own elastic force, the fiber member 120 rapidly projects outside through the opening of the receiving recess 112 to provide the position which is convenient for cleaning or polishing the surface to be polished (Fig. 3B). Further, in order to ensure even more convenient use of the body 110, the body 110 is provided with a handle allowing a user to easily grip the body 110 in use.
- the handle 150 is made of the same material as the body 110 in molding the body 110, and provided in both sidewalls with reinforcing grooves 152 for imparting reinforcing force. Fig.
- FIG. 5 is a perspective bottom view of the of the disposable wax coater of the invention from which the release paper is removed.
- the fiber members 120 Upon removing the release paper (Fig. 1) covering the receiving recess 112 of the body 110 in a sealing manner, the fiber members 120 project from the insides of the both receiving recesses 112. Therefore, one of the projected fiber members 120 can clean foreign materials or dust from the surface to be polished as a pre-treatment, and on the other hand, the other fiber member 120 impregnated with wax can wax and polish the surface, which is previously cleaned of dust and so on, to be polished. Any of the fiber members 120 can be utilized as the dust cleaner or the polishing wax coater.
- the body has a compact and slim configuration with the polishing wax coating member and the dust cleaning member at the both ends so that the user can conveniently carry the wax coater doubled as cleaner in a handbag or pocket. Also there is another convenience that the wax coater doubled as cleaner can be used at any time. Furthermore, there is an economic effect that the wax coater doubled as cleaner can be mass- produced and thus provided via vending machines at a low cost.
