Description

THE CHAIR HAVING GROOVE IN SITTING PART
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a chair having a groove formed in a sitting part, and particularly to, a chair having a groove formed in a sitting part for preventing a user's pubic region from being pressed and for providing air circulation between the sitting part and the user's body in contact with the sitting part of the chair, such as the fleshy inside of the thigh, by having a groove formed in the sitting part.
Background Art
In general, a chair is provided with a cushion on a sitting part of the chair to provide a user with comfort.
Moreover, the chair is further provided with a buffering part, which is made of elastic material, such as springs, to facilitate the cushion function.
However, because the cushion provided on the sitting part of the chair is made of greatly elastic material, such as cotton or sponge, when the user sits on the sitting part, the part where the user sits is depressed and excessively contacted by the user's body part, and thus the user's body part is pressed.
It causes troubles in circulation of blood, and it is the cause of fatigue and various diseases.
Especially, because the cushion presses the user's public region, which is a sensitive part, the user feels uneasiness and it causes male diseases and female diseases, such as decrease of energy and premature ejaculation.
Furthermore, in the summer season when temperature is high, it may cause various skin diseases because the air is not circulated well. To solve the above problems, Korean Utility Model No. 20-2002-0004278
(Filing date: February, 2002) discloses a "seasonal chair for supporting a user's neck" which has a ventilation hole formed by perforating a sitting plate from the center toward the rear side, and Korean Utility Model No. 20-2001-0028418 discloses a "chair adjustable to a user's body".
However, such conventional chairs are manufactured without consideration of the properties of cotton or sponge, which is the cushiony material disposed on the sitting part, and so, they fall short of user's expectations.
That is, if only the ventilation hole or a groove is formed in the sitting part of the typical chair which has the cushion member made of cotton or sponge, there is a problem that the user's flesh is caught in the ventilation hole according to expansion and contraction in the size of the hole because the cotton and sponge are high elastic materials.
Furthermore, because the ventilation hole or the groove may be expanded or contracted and the position of the ventilation hole or the groove may lean toward any one direction, the user may feel instability in sitting on the chair.
Moreover, if the user sits on the chair for a long time, because the sitting surface contacted by the user's body is not maintained in the original condition but changed little by little, the ventilation hole is not disposed in a proper position for carrying out its own function.
Especially, if the user's hips are disposed on the front part of the chair, the ventilation hole is disposed at a part contacted by the user's hips. At this time, because the part contacted by the user's hips has great flexibility and weak elasticity, the user may have a poor posture. As a result, if the user uses the chair for a long time, the user's vertebrae are overstrained, and so, it may cause troubles in the vertebrae. Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
The present invention relates to a chair having a groove formed in a sitting part.
Because the present invention has the groove formed in the sitting part of the chair, at least, a user's public region is not in contact with the sitting part.
Furthermore, the sitting part of the chair has an elastic cushion member, such as cotton or sponge, similarly to conventional chairs, and further has a transformation-preventing member of soft material, which has weak elasticity, disposed on the cushion member to prevent change of position of the groove and transformation of the groove formed in the chair.
The present invention will now be described in detail in connection with preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description of the present invention are exemplary and explanatory, and so, the present invention is not to be restricted by the embodiments and the attached drawings.
It is preferable that the sitting part of the chair includes a cushion member for providing a user with comfort.
Moreover, it is preferable that the cushion member is made of elastic material, such as compressed cotton or sponge, similarly to conventional chairs, to provide the user with comfort and maintain its original form even though it is used for a long time.
For this reason, the sitting part 10 of the present invention includes the elastic cushion member 20 of good elasticity, such as cotton or sponge, as in the conventional chairs.
However, if the cushion member 20 has excessive elasticity as shown in the conventional chairs, a part of the sitting part 10 in contact with the user's body is depressed somewhat deeply according to the user's body shape, and so, the cushion member presses the user's body and the air is not circulated well.
Additionally, the present invention has an object to prevent a close contact of the sitting part 10 with the user's public region. To achieve the above object, the sitting part 10 has a groove 30.
Therefore, a part for preventing an excessive depression and transformation of the cushion member 20 is required.
That is, because the elastic cushion member 20 has properties of great expansion and contraction, if the groove 30 is formed in a certain part, elasticity of the part is greater, and therefore the groove 30 cannot perform its own function because the cushion member 20 is transformed easily when pressure is applied to the groove part.
When the user sits on the part in which the groove 30 is formed, the user may have a poor sitting-posture and the user's vertebrae are overstrained when the user uses the chair for a long time.
As described above, the chair requires the part for preventing transformation of a groove 30a formed in the great elastic cushion member 20.
For this, the present invention has the transformation-preventing member 40, which is weak in elasticity and not transformed easily, disposed on the upper portion of the great elastic cushion member 20. The cushion member 20 and the transformation-preventing member 40 are formed integrally with each other.
That is, the transformation-preventing member 40 prevents expansion and contraction of the cushion member 20, so that the transformation of the groove 30 can be prevented. However, if the transformation-preventing member 40 is made of excessively hard material, the user may have a bad sitting feeling and an effect of the cushion member 20 will be reduced. Therefore, it is preferable that the transformation-preventing member 40 is made of soft synthetic resin material, which is weak in elasticity and has little expansion and contraction.
As the material of the transformation-preventing member 40 that you can easily find, there is soft rubber.
The cushion member 20 and the transformation-preventing member 40 are integrated by sewing or adhesive.
Alternatively, the cushion member 20 and the transformation-preventing member 40 are integrated by covering them with a synthetic resin sheet or a natural leather sheet.
Meanwhile, the object of the present invention is to prevent compression of the user's public region by preventing contact between the user's public region and the sitting part 10 of the chair.
Therefore, the cushion member 20 and the transformation-preventing member 40 of the sitting part 10 have at least grooves 30a and 30b respectively to prevent the contact between the user's public region and the sitting part 10 of the chair.
Referring to drawings, functions of the present invention will be described as follows. FIG. 1 is a view of a chair for use in an office according to the present invention.
In FIG. 1, the chair includes the cushion member 20 having the groove 30a formed in the sitting part 10, and the transformation-preventing member 40 having a groove 30b and formed integrally with the cushion member 20. The cushion member 20 and the transformation-preventing member 40 are covered with a leather sheet 50.
The groove 30 formed in the cushion member 20 and the transformation- preventing member 40 is blocked on back and forth and right and left sides thereof and opened upward. The groove 30 is in the form of an elongated oval extending from the center to the front of the sitting part 10.
The size of the groove 30 is about 12cm in length, 8cm in width and 4cm in depth.
When the user sits on the sitting part 10 of the chair, the sitting part 10 of the chair is entirely compressed by the action of the cushion member 20.
However, because the transformation-preventing member 40 is made of the weak elastic material, the sitting part 10 is not depressed only at the part in contact with the user's body but entirely depressed somewhat, differently from the conventional chairs.
In addition, because the cushion member 20 and the transformation- preventing member 40 are formed integrally and the transformation-preventing member 40 is not expanded and contracted too much, the groove 30 is not changed in position and transformed.
Therefore, the groove 30 formed in the sitting part 10 is always disposed under the user's public region, such that it is prevented that the user's public region is contacted by the sitting part 10 of the chair. As a result, the user's public region is not compressed by the sitting part 10 of the chair. Furthermore, smooth air circulation can be provided under the user's public region.
Moreover, the user does not feel hardness of the part in contact with the user's body because the transformation-preventing member 40 is not hard but soft.
Because the above effects are maintained although the chair is used for a long time, the present invention provides the user with fatigue less than the conventional chairs.
Meanwhile, the groove 30 formed in the sitting part 10 of the present invention can be extended in back and forth and right and left directions, as shown in FIG. 2, to provide air circulation under the user's body in contact with the sitting part 10 of the chair.
The present invention constructed as above can prevent skin erosion, which is caused when sweet comes out between the sitting part 10 and the user's body in the summer season, thereby preventing skin diseases.
Additionally, the user can improve work efficiency because there is no unpleasantness due to sweet.
For the smooth air circulation, it is preferable that a part of the groove 30 extends and is opened in one direction of the sitting part 10, as shown in FIG. 2, to provide air circulation under the user's body in contact with the sitting part 10.
Furthermore, the chair according to the present invention has a warm cover for filling up the groove 30 by being put in the groove 30 formed in the sitting part 10, and so, if you want, the groove 30 can be filled up. That is, if the user does not want to use the groove 30 whose function is to keep warm between the sitting part 10 and the user's body in contact with the sitting part 10 in the winter season when temperature is low, the warm cover can be put in the groove 30 to fill up the groove 30.
The unexplained reference numeral 60 designates a supporter for supporting the sitting part of the chair, 70 designates a backrest, and 80 designates a lower supporting plate.

Best Embodiments of the Present Invention Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail through one or more preferred embodiments, but they do not restrict the scope of the present invention.
<Embodiment 1> Chair having groove formed in sitting part There were prepared the cushion member and the transformation- preventing member having the groove, which extended from the center to the front of the sitting part and was in the form of an oval of 12cm in length, 8cm in width and 4cum in depth.
The cushion member was made of compressed sponge, and the transformation-preventing member was made of rubber of soft material.
The sponge and the transformation-preventing member were integrated by adhesive to locate the grooves of the sponge and the transformation-preventing member in the same position.
The sponge and the transformation-preventing member were covered with the natural leather sheet. By the above steps, the chair having the groove formed in the sitting part according to the present invention was manufactured. Industrial Applicability
As described above, the present invention provides the chair for effectively preventing compression of the user's public region without change of position and transformation of the groove by forming the groove in the place so as to prevent the user's public region from being contacted by the sitting part of the chair and integrating the cushion member and the transformation-preventing member with each other to prevent expansion and contraction of the elastic cushion member in the back and forth and right and left directions. Furthermore, the chair according to the present invention can prevent various skin diseases due to skin erosion even though the chair is used for a long time in a high-temperature condition, because the part in contact with the user's body is not depressed deeper than a predetermined depth and the chair induces the smooth air circulation without change of the location and transformation of the groove.
