Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Verbindung (1) zwischen einem umfänglich geschlossenen Hohlprofil (2) und einem hohlen Bauteil (3), wobei das Hohlprofil (2) und das Bauteil (3) mit Hilfe der Einwirkung eines fluidischen Innenhochdruckes unter Bildung eines überlappenden Verbindungsbereiches (15) miteinander formschlüssig verbunden werden. Um eine abziehfeste und verdrehsichere Verbindung (1) zwischen dem Hohlprofil (2) und dem hohlen Bauteil (3) zu schaffen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass mittels des Innenhochdruckes an den Wandungen (12,13) des Hohlprofils (2) und des Bauteils (3) hinterschnittene Flächen (11) derart ausgeformt werden, dass zumindest eine gemeinsame den Formschluss bildende Einbuchtung an den Wandungen (12,13) des Hohlprofils (2) und des Bauteils (3) entsteht, und dass durch den Innenhochdruck das Hohlprofil (2) im Verbindungsbereich (15) in eine von einer kreisrunden Form abweichende Querschnittsform aufgeweitet wird.
