Description
BAND AUTO FEEDER FOR AUTOMATIC PACKING MACHINE
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a band auto feeder for an automatic packing machine and, more particularly, to a band auto feeder for an automatic packing machine capable of automatically feeding a band on a reel into a feeder roller of a sealing head unit installed in the automatic packing machine.
Background Art To pack something in a conventional automatic packing machine 2, as shown in FIG. 5, a band 7, which is disposed on a reel 3 on one side of the body of the machine, is manually fed by an operator into a feeder roller 18 of a sealing head unit 24 installed in the interior of the body, such that the feeder roller 18 is driven by a driving motor 20 to thereby feed the band 7 into an arch frame 22. In the conventional automatic packing machine 2, however, feeding the band 7 into the feeder roller 18 is carried out by the operator's hands, which causes the operating efficiency to be lowered. In some cases, the operator's hand may not be taken out from the interior of the machine during feeding, which causes the operator to be badly injured. Therefore, there is a need for development of a band auto feeder for the automatic packing machine capable of feeding the band in an automatic manner.
Disclosure of Invention
It is an object of the present invention to provide a band auto feeder for an automatic packing machine capable of automatically feeding a band wound on a
reel into a feeder roller of a sealing head unit installed in the automatic packing machine.
According to the present invention, if a band that is disposed on a reel is inserted into a band insertion hole from the outside of the body of an automatic packing machine, it is automatically fed by means of a pool feeder roller to a feeder roller, and a guide for guiding the band to the feeder roller is provided to automatically appear or disappear by a solenoid, such that spare bands for holding an article to be packed can be fed automatically into a spare space.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The above and other objects and features of the present invention will be better understood from the following description of the preferred embodiment with reference to drawings, in which:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the structure of an automatic packing machine to which the principles of the present invention are applied;
FIG. 2 is a front view illustrating a schematic structure of a band auto feeder according to the present invention;
FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the band auto feeder according to the present invention; FIG. 4 is a perspective view illustrating a sealing head unit for holding and sealing an article to be packed with a band supplied through the band auto feeder; and
FIG. 5 is a front view illustrating a conventional band feeder device.
Best mode for Carrying Out the Invention
FIG. 1 is a perspective view illustrating the structure of an automatic packing machine to which the principles of the present invention are applied, FIG. 2 is a front view illustrating a schematic structure of a band auto feeder according to the present invention, and FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the band auto feeder according to the present invention. Now, an explanation of the preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to accompanying drawings, wherein like numbers in FIG. 5 indicate the same or similar elements. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a band auto feeder 1 is provided with a band insertion hole 4 that is formed on one side of a reel 3 of an automatic packing machine 2 and with a pool feeder roller 5 that is formed on the inside of the band insertion hole 4 to be rotated by a motor 6.
The band auto feeder 5 is further provided with a guide 8 for guiding the band 7 being fed by the pool feeder roller 5, which includes a low guide plate 9 and an auto door flap 10.
That is to say, the low guide plate 9 is fixed in a general shape of '17 onto a pool box frame 11, and an opening 12 to/from which the auto door flap 10 is moved is provided on the vertical surface of the pool box frame 11 on which the low guide plate 9 is disposed. Thereby, the auto door flap 10, which is connected on the upper and lower ends of a solenoid 15 by means of a hinge pin 13 and a connecting member 14, is moved by a predetermined angle as the solenoid 15 operates with a result that it can be selectively moved to/from the opening 12. A guide passage 16, which is formed by the operation of the low guide
plate 9 and the auto door flap 10, is provided on the upper portion thereof with a tension arm shoot 17 that is adapted to feed the band 7 moved along the guide passage 16 into the feeder roller 18 and with a proximity switch 19 that is capable of sensing the feeding of the band 7 into the feeder roller 18 with a result that a driving motor 20 of the feeder roller 18 can be driven with the sensed result of the proximity switch 19.
A reference numeral 21 in the drawings as mentioned above denotes a control panel, 22 denotes an arch frame, 23 denotes a slide table, and 24 denotes a sealing head unit. Under the above configuration of the band auto feeder 1 for the automatic packing machine 2 according to the present invention, hence, it is capable of feeding the band 7 into the feeder roller 18 in an automatic manner, thereby making it possible to improve a degree of operating efficiency and to previously protect an operator from being badly injured. In operation, after the band 7 wound on a structure such as a drum is fixedly fitted into the reel 3 on one side of the automatic packing machine 2, if the end of the band 7 is taken by the hand of the operator and is thus inserted into the band insertion hole 4 on the one side of the body of the automatic packing machine 2, it is connected on the pool feeder roller 5. At this time, if the band feeder switch on the control panel 21 is turned on, the motor 6 starts to drive such that the band 7 is moved to the feeder roller 18 at a relatively fast speed while the pool feeder roller 5 is being rotated. As the motor 6 rotates, the solenoid 15 starts to operate such that the auto door flap 10 appears in an angle movement through the opening 12, thereby forming the guide passage 16 along which the band 7 is guided with the help of the low guide plate 9.
Since the tension arm shoot 17 that is disposed on the sealing head unit 24 is formed on the upper portion of the guide passage 16, the band 7 that has been rapidly fed along the guide passage 16 and the tension arm shoot 17 is connected to the feeder roller 18. This is sensed by the proximity switch 19 that is disposed on the one side of the feeder roller 18 and when the sensed result is applied to the driving motor 20, the feeder roller 18 rotates such that the band 7 is automatically fed into the lower portion of the slide table 23 of the sealing head unit 24 along the arch frame 22.
Industrial applicability
As set forth in the foregoing, there is provided the band auto feeder 1 for the automatic packing machine 2 according to the present invention that is capable of inserting the band 7 on the reel 3 into the band insertion hole 4, moving the band 7 along the guide passage 16 formed by the guide 8 by the operation of the pool feeder roller 5 driven by the motor 6, and automatically feeding the band 7 into the feeder roller 18 of the sealing head unit 21 through the tension arm shoot 17, whereby the band 7 can be fed rapidly, which achieves an increase of an operation speed, a high degree of operating efficiency, and previous protection of the injury of an operator during feeding.
