Abstract

The invention relates to a pair of self-fastening stockings which does not comprise a hip part, the purpose of which is to eliminate the hip part from panty-hose. The invention is characterised in that it comprises an upper belt/hoop-shaped part which can be adapted to the body. Moreover, two lateral bands are suspended from the aforementioned belt at the outer lateral area of the wearer's thighs, the width of said bands being equal to a fifth of the length of the circumference of an individual full-length stocking at the upper edge thereof. According to the invention, the two bands fall from the hoop/belt up to 2 or 3 cm below the lower part of the pubis and, at said height, the width of the two bands increases so as to form truncated cone-shaped elements with lower parts which extend to create an individual stocking for each leg and foot.

This invention falls within the textile industry, more specifically, within the section of panty garments.

State of the art

The most commonly used leg garments are divided into three groups: sock or half below the knee, half of the whole leg without self-restraint (usually used with garter belt or similar support device) and half pants or panty, full leg and with self-restraint.

The current panty solves the problem of the lack of self-restraint of the full leg stocking but, in return, imposes a second hip garment that overlaps the actual hip garment: the panty.

It would be desirable to get a full leg garment that solves the problem of self-restraint by eliminating, from what is known as panty, the hip area.

Detailed description

The present invention relates to achieving a full leg garment that solves the problem of self-restraint by eliminating, from what is known as panty, the hip area. It will be assumed, to improve the simplicity of the exposure and because it is a perfectly acceptable assumption, that the human leg is cylindrical at the height of the thigh, about 2 or 3 cm. below the bottom of the pubis, where the inner faces of both thighs meet.

The proposed new stocking will feature a side piece - from what would be the upper edge of a half-leg whole without self-restraint - that extends up the outer side of the thigh and a width equal to 1/5 of the length of the circumference that would be the straight section of the cylinder that has previously approached the human thigh in the area described.

These pieces - one for each meter - will be of the same material as the rest of the stocking and will extend upwards, as described, until reaching the waist area, to meet there with a ring / belt to which both are attached pieces - and, through them, both media-; - thus conferring the desired quality of the self-restraint to the socks by eliminating, from what is known as panty, the hip area.

Description of the drawings

Fig. 1 shows a front view of the new garment in the area where the novelty resides. The described lateral parts (1) and their union with the ring / belt can be observed, in profile and with the proper bulge of the human thigh.

The position of this belt ring - width (c) - above the hip, in the usual position of a belt, and the absence of garment in the enclosed area by the bounded lines such as (a) and (h) and the four circle arcs denoted correlatively (R1F) to (RF), they are combined to achieve the desired effect.

Fig. 2 shows the same area of the new garment profile view. You can see the side of the ring / belt and the absence of garment in the hip area.

The width (c) will be chosen in the range of 3 to 15 cm. The height (h) will depend on the size of the garment and will be adequate to leave the hip area safe, being about 25 cm. for a size corresponding to a person of 1'85 m. of height. These 25 cm they refer to once the garment is on, having to be properly reduced to obtain the dimension with the garment "at rest", that is, without putting.

Methods of carrying out the invention

Three ways of realizing the new garment can be described in the first approximation and with no intention of being limiting in scope:

1) separate production of the two half-leg stockings, the two side pieces and the ring / belt, finally sewing the assembly in the manner indicated in the figures

2) manufacture of a conventional panty and subsequent elimination of the hip area by means of a cauterizing procedure (with a laser of adequate power, for example) or similar that prevents the garment from being dismantled 3) manufacture of the garment in a single piece, introducing the appropriate coordinates in a computerized weaver that is capable of generating the necessary equations from the established restrictions.

In all cases, for simplicity in manufacturing, it will be logical that the radii (R1F) to (R4F) and the subsequent ones are all the same, although there is no such theoretical need.

1. Pair of tights with self-restraint without a hip area characterized in that it has an upper part adaptable to the body in the form of a ring / belt, from which the outer lateral area of the person's thighs fall - two wide lateral bands equal to one fifth of the length of the circumference of an individual half of the entire leg at its upper edge. These two bands fall, from the mentioned ring / belt, up to 2 or 3 cm. below the bottom of the pubis; at that height, both bands widen to form two truncated conical elements that extend inferiorly so that they form an individual stocking for each leg and foot.
