Abstract

La présente invention a trait à un procédé et un appareil pour le codage de bloc à étalement spatio-temporel. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : le codage de bloc de bits d'entrée côté transmission ; la conversion des bits d'entrée en symboles et la modulation desdits symboles ; la conversion série-parallèle et l'entrelacement de voies des symboles modulés ; la transmission des symboles finals par au moins deux antennes de transmission ; la réception des signaux en provenance desdites antennes par une antenne de réception côté réception ; et le traitement du signal reçu. La présente invention permet l'utilisation de tout code de bloc avec un débit de 1/N (tels que des codes linéaires ou non linéaires divers) dans un système à N antennes de transmission. Lors de l'utilisation des codes de bloc avec une longueur de contrainte importante, on peut obtenir un gain de codage supérieur au codage de bloc spatio-temporel classique.
