  • the rear cover 2 follows the rectangular shape of the front face and removably fits onto the aforesaid tongue and flange. It is preferably moulded from a flexible and slightly elastic material such as polypropylene and has a mortice 9 around the periphery.
  • the rear cover 2 is adapted to be a push fit onto the back of the front face 1 with the mortice 9 sealingly engaging the tongue 7.
  • the rear cover is also configured so that the central area 11 is set back from the panel 3 to provide space 12 for mounting a calender, photograph or drawing etc. It is also envisaged that a mirror could even be set in this space.
  • the rear cover 2 is adapted to provide a substantially airtight seal onto the front face 1 in order to better contain material deposited in the cavity and prevent emission of odours. Also, by virtue of the flexible nature of the rear cover it is readily removable from the front face without the aid of tools for refilling the cavity.
  • the rear cover preferably has keyhole fittings 13 and a pair of converging rebated ribs 14 moulded into it for hanging the holder on a wall or enabling a self-standing support leg (not shown) to be attached.
  • the rear cover 2 In use of the holder the rear cover 2 is first removed and a photograph 15 or the like is placed against the inner surface of the window panel 3. The cavity 5 is then filled with material which personalises the photograph or perhaps has some special significance for the viewer. By way of non-limiting example as shown in figure 5 this material could be the favourate dry food 16 of a dog appearing in the photograph. The rear cover 2 is then refitted to the front face 1 and the holder is ready to display the photograph.
  • the tongue 7" aligns with the outer surface of the convex wall 4' and is moulded with a laterally extending lip 17 which seats into a corresponding channel 17A in the cover to further enhance the sealing of cavity 5'.
  • the inner edge of the wall 4 1 is also formed into a tongue 18 of similar configuration to the opposite outer tongue 7'.
  • This tongue 18 seats in a mortice 18A in the rear cover 11'.
  • the lip 18B for holding down the edges of a photograph 15' or the like is larger relative to the thickness of the window panel 3' and is hollowed out.

  • a support leg 21 for this embodiment is shown in figures 8 and 9.
  • the hinge portion 22 of the leg is shaped to fit into the recess 19 so that lugs 23 seats in respective apertures 20 and the leg extends diagonally across the back panel as shown by figure 10.
  • This leg 21 can be either pivoted outward to prop up the display panel on a support surface or folded flat against the back panel for storage or hanging on a wall.
  • a retaining lug 24 When folded against the back panel a retaining lug 24 preferably snap fits into an aperture 25 in a lower corner of the panel to hold the leg in place.
