Abstract
A picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly (20) includes a border (10) on a front side of which is formed an annular channel (11) for receiving the ornamentation assembly (20). The ornamentation assembly (20) includes a number of transparent or translucent decorative shoots which are shaped to correspond to the annular channel (11). Each decorative sheet is uniquely patterned so that a different visual effect is caused by each different alignment of the decorative sheets. An access (12) is formed on an outer periphery of the border (10) for facilitating removal and re-insertion of the decorative sheets. <IMAGE>
Description
TITLE: PICTURE FRAME WITH QUICK CHA1JGEABLE ORNAMENTATION ASSEMBLY
The present invention relates to a picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly, and in particular, to a picture frame including a plurality of decorative sheets for providing various "looks" for the picture frame.
Conventional picture frames are stagnant objects, and conventional ornamentation for picture frames are not modifiable to suit a changing decor. The present invention intends to provide a picture frame which includes an ornamentation assembly consisting of a plurality of decorative sheets to provide a plurality of "looks" for the picture frame when the decorative sheets are applied in different combination.
The picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly according to the present invention comprises a border with an annular channel formed on a front side thereof for receiving an ornamentation assembly. A glass plate, a picture or a photograph and a back plate are sequentially attached to a rear side of the border.
The ornamentation assembly comprises a plurality of transparent or translucent decorative sheets which are shaped to correspond to the annular channel. Each decorative sheet is uniquely patterned such that different alignments of the decorative sheets cause different visual effects. Furthermore, an access is formed on an outer periphery of the border for facilitating removal of the decorative sheets. Thus, by virtue of the provision of the access, the decorative sheets are quickly removed and rearranged and then re-inserted into the annular channel to create another different visual effect.
The patterns on each decorative sheet are hollowly engraved such that a three-dimensional visual effect is caused when the decorative sheets are applied on the border.
It is therefore a primary feature of the present invention to provide a picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly wherein the ornamentation assembly includes a plurality of decorative sheets.
Another feature of the present invention is to provide decorative sheets which are each hollowly engraved such that a three-dimensional visual effect is caused by the application of the decorative sheets are on the border.
Other features and advantages of this invention will be apparent to those having ordinary skill in the art when the following detailed description has been read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

Fig. 1 is a perspective view of an embodiment of a picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly in accordance with the present invention;
Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the embodiment of Fig.1;

Fig. 4 is a perspective view of another embodiment of a picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly in accordance with the present invention.
Referring,to Figs. 1 to 3, a picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly according to the present invention comprises a border 10 with an annular channel 11 formed on a front side thereof for receiving an ornamentation assembly 20. Generally, a glass plate 40, a picture or a photograph 35 and a back plate 30 are sequentially attached to a rear side of the border 10. The back plate 30 includes a back lid 31 through which an photograph can be replaced or installed. On the back lid 31 there is provided a support 32 (shown by the phantom lines) for supporting the whole picture frame on a desk or any other display area.
The decoration assembly 20 comprises a plurality of transparent or translucent decorative sheets 22 which are shaped to correspond to the annular channel 11. Each decorative sheet is uniquely patterned such that a different visual effect is caused by a different alignment among the decorative sheets. Furthermore, an access 12 is formed on an outer periphery of the border for facilitating removal of the decorative sheets 22.
Thus, by virtue of the provision of the access 12, the decorative sheets 22 are quickly rearranged and reinserted into the annular channel 11 to create another different visual effect.
The patterns on each decorative sheet 22 are hollowly engraved such that a three-dimensional visual effect is caused by the application of the decorative sheets 22 on the border 10.
Referring to Fig. 4, a ferrous plate 50 is first attached to the annular channel 11. The decorative sheets 22 may each be equipped with a magnetic plate 60 so as to be attracted onto the ferrous plate 50.
Although this invention has been described with a certain degree of particularity, it will be understood that the present invention disclosure is made by way of example only and that numerous changes in the detail of construction and the combination and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit and the scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
Claims (3)
1. A picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly comprising a border, a glass plate, a picture or a photograph, a back plate and a support being sequentially attached to a rear side of said border, an annular channel being formed on a front side of said border for receiving said ornamentation assembly, the improvements comprising:
said ornamentation assembly comprising a plurality of transparent or translucent decorative sheets which are shaped to correspond to said annular channel, each decorative sheet being uniquely patterned such that a different visual effect is caused by a different alignment of said decorative sheets; and
an access being formed on an outer periphery of said border for facilitating removal and re-insertion of said decorative sheets.
2. A picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly according to claim 1, wherein said patterns on each decorative sheet are hollowly engraved such that a three-dimensional visual effect is caused by an application of said decorative sheets on said border.
3. A picture frame with a quick changeable ornamentation assembly as hereinbefore described with reference to and as shown in the accompanying drawings.
